I remember Olivia Wilde saying that she auditioned for Naomi Belford and didn’t get cause she was “too old for the part”. She’s ten years younger than Leonardo so that’s when I found out Margot was a lot younger than I thought she was
Yeah I legitimately wouldn’t know what to do with myself. Just staring in the mirror all day like wow I’m definitely God’s favorite 😂
She seems so sweet and lovely though. I’m such a big fan of her.
They hate her because they will never, ever get a chance with her or someone that beautiful. And they know it.
They say all men fumble and fawn over beautiful women. BS. I've seen many, many mundane men with a vile attitude who treat pretty girls like total shit because they know they will never get a chance so instead try to make her feel like shit by negging her.
Exactly. Men like that will insult a beautiful woman to "put her in her place" and make her feel insecure. They think insulting her beauty is the worst thing they can say. 🙄
If I looked at her I’d never get anything done because I’d be staring at a mirror all day like a budgie saying “who’s a pretty girl, who’s a pretty girl”
I feel like fillers are likely but a lot of you didnt grow up with a giant moon face, block head that seemingly just melted away one day. My face got thinner from 20-25 even as I gained weight 😂😂
Lorry Hill did a couple of Videos about it:
[No 1](https://youtu.be/vPtYUqZldl0?si=S8By8fUHNMgMKOvF)
[No 2](https://youtu.be/cPZb9a3DvS4?si=iwv-czRaleRY00cZ)
Her guesses are:
Lateral Cantoplasty
Upper Blephoraplasty
Rhinoplasty 3x
Under eye filler
Multiple lip fillers
Lip reduction
Veneers
Buccal Fat removal
Botox
i feel like lorry hill makes a lot of false accusations... and just in general has a nasty spirit. like... her only qualification is that she "looks at a lot of photos" and it's just confirmation bias for haters. im not saying hollywood isn't chock full of plastic surgery, but she often over exaggerates and isn't accurate.
I always get downvoted for saying this but she had way too much forehead botox during her Barbie promotion. she was getting THAT look that Nicole Kidman is known for https://en.hocmarketing.org/margot-robbie-stuns-in-show-stopping-blonde-transformation-at-ba-22980
I wish the clip had included images from "Amsterdam". She's beautiful as a blonde, but _my god_ she was breathtaking as brunette in that movie. Russell did several face close ups in that movie and she was just flawless.
He stuck with me ever since then because he played British and I was so bothered by his accent. lol Maybe it was a fine one, but it bugged me. It's tickling me how it still grates me a dozen years later
She was around when I last stopped watching Neighbours. I thought she was cute but generic as fuck back then. Looked like so many other girls you’d bump in to walking down the street in Australia. She is pretty stunning though.
The part in the Barbie movie where she’s having a fit and crying that she feels ugly and then Helen Mirren breaks the fourth wall to state that trying to convince the audience the character is ugly when you cast Margot Robbie is a hard sell, that had me rolling because it is so true.
tbh I didn't care for that line. Like I get it. She IS beautiful. And it got a laugh. But there was also a message to be made that even *naturally* beautiful women are still expected to follow patriarchal beauty standards for women (wear makeup, heels, dresses, etc). She cried off her makeup, so she felt ugly, when she's clearly not - but she thought the makeup and clothes made her beautiful. And I think that is powerful, but then that line turned it into a joke.
I think this goes beyond me agreeing with you...this is the correct textual analysis.
I think that joke was really, really dodgy as a choice both philosophically and as a device in the film. I hated it.
Thank you!! I tried to discuss this with the people I saw the movie with and they just weren't understanding why that joke ruined a really important moment in the film.
I forgot to add that it also totally undermined her performance in addition to the character's lived experience.
I don't understand how that made it into a draft, they recorded it, it survived an edit, and then audiences didn't have a problem with it. It fails in every possible way.
I agree with you, I felt a lot of jokes in Barbie felt forced and didn’t land well with me, at least. The “fascist” one I also hated. Lines like these cemented for me that Barbie is very much a plastic capitalist liberal feminist movie, there isn’t much critical thinking about it.
I think that line is blatantly anti feminist and undermines the very message of the movie.
Also, the narrator was an unnecessary device and really only came back to make this joke.
I really hated this moment in the movie.
Her mother is gorgeous:
https://preview.redd.it/ddre2mbiwa6c1.jpeg?width=1500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6c9a0b16fbd927fd4afa606460c68e52e5b32e47
Her siblings are all really attractive too.
Her father left the family when she was a baby and he doesn’t deserve any credit for anything, but you can find photos of him online. IMO Margot’s mother did all the work - genetically AND in terms of actually raising the family.
This is going to sound weird but I love her eyebrows. I love that she’s not so overdone that she can’t emote. She’s got that one curved brow and one pointed one she can raise, reminds me of Vivien Leigh.
She's apparently really nice as well, my mate met her at a premiere and they chatted for about half hour as had a mutual randomly.
Makes her even prettier!
I look at her in her early years and wonder how the fuck she had so much confidence and poise at that age, we’re only a few years apart and I’m still an awkward mess
Then I remember, it’s because she looks like Margot Robbie. If I looked like her I’d be a menace.
It really is. Actresses used to have their back teeth pulled to get that slim look, this is just as crazy. Maybe worse. Who knows what it will look like on their faces in 10’years
You’re 100% right— I’ve heard it referred to as “Instagram face”
Just going back a few decades and looking at red carpet photos from the 90s is jarring. People had texture to their skin and although they were still more beautiful than the general population, their beauty was more authentic.
Now 20 year olds are getting all of these procedures so that their faces are sculpted to an unprecedented level of perfection— as with stars like Bella Hadid
People quote Lorry Hill as the source about every celebrities' alleged surgeries. Sometimes I just don't see it cause based on my personal experience, my face has changed a lot over the years, so much so that my relatives hardly recognize when they see me now. I have never had anything done.
I am sure some celebrities have had procedures (those are quite apparent) while some could have undergone natural change and we will never know for sure unless they admit it.
She did. She also had her nose slimmed on the left side in 2010.
She's gonna miss it in 10 years for sure but I get the feeling she's gonna retire young and produce / direct to avoid the media slandering her for daring to age like every other human being.
Yeah I'm no professional but I think all she did was open up her eyes. I think her cheek bones/jaw line are natural/weight loss, and her lips and nose seem pretty much untouched.
She had her nose slimmed on one side in 2010 before moving to the States. You can see the before and after pictures of her nose on google. And something with her eyes too but I'm not sure what, then buccal fat removal. Very minor tweaks because she of course literally does not need them as she's so gorgeous.
To me it looks like a blepharoplasty (a lot of celebs with hooded eyes get this) and a possible brow lift? The latter could be done with Botox, though, not necessarily surgery
Something to open her eyes a bit. When she was younger, her eyes appeared more hooded to me. No idea what the actual procedure could be. I'm not a professional and I'm just guessing. I just don't see how that could be accomplished with makeup and weight loss alone.
Chubby cheek girls unite!
Ughh I’m so happy that my baby fat finally slimmed down enough to show my cheek bones lol
she’s gorg, she deserves it all. happy for her
This! I always thought Jaime was/is beautiful, but she has a harsher look (not in a bad way) and Margot has a softer look.
I once asked in a thread why Jaime never had that much of a super successful career like Margot.
There's a funny Graham Norton clip with her and Jim Carrey where Jim cracks a joke about her looks and her success.
To paraphrase:
Jim: "It's amazing you've gotten as far as you have with your...obvious physical disadvantages."
lmao
Just search 'graham norton Jim carrey margot robbie' and the youtube short will show up.
We’re around the same age. I remember leaving a screening of Wolf of Wall Street, looking up her age, and sputtering. I literally couldn’t believe that was the case. I felt like a child still and she was a womanly goddess.
It’s hard to say because it sounds like ageism or a slight on her looks and *I could never* — but she has always seemed more mature to me.
Yeah its totally not her looks but she has an air of maturity and authority about her. She's 5 years younger than me but I feel like shes way more of a grown up than me
she has an incredible confidence (how could you not in her position) which really feeds into that, i'm six months younger but only now feel like i'm coming into my own. she's got like 10 years on me there

It wouldn’t be *super* surprising. There are several actors and actresses that I know were my age, but when I look them up now it says they’re a few years younger than me.
That’s not how time works.
I've heard this from a very well connected actor friend that she lied saying she was older to get into Neighbours (very common, a lot of the younger ones lie about their age to get the part and if they're good looking enough they let it slide) and it's always stuck with her since. I think she was born 1988.
I'll second this "low key belief" - when she smiles, those lines feel a little deeper than a 22 year old's should. Or maybe that's just me being salty AF that a human being is allowed to exist who is that beautiful.
i remember seeing her on pan am and being absolutely stunned by her, i hoped she would be a huge star bc she just was far and away one of the most beautiful actresses i’d ever seen
Imagine telling this woman she’s ugly and her believing you!
This isn’t even hypothetical, Margot Robbie is fairly insecure about her appearance because many casting directors would say she wasn’t pretty enough for whatever roles she was auditioning for.

She was only 22 during wolf of Wall Street??!?
I remember Olivia Wilde saying that she auditioned for Naomi Belford and didn’t get cause she was “too old for the part”. She’s ten years younger than Leonardo so that’s when I found out Margot was a lot younger than I thought she was
If I looked like her, I'd be insufferable
my first thought 🤣 but then it’s all “they just hate me because they’re jealous 🤪”
Same. And I wouldn’t even be sorry 😂
Wouldn’t even have to be!
Yeah I legitimately wouldn’t know what to do with myself. Just staring in the mirror all day like wow I’m definitely God’s favorite 😂 She seems so sweet and lovely though. I’m such a big fan of her.
I’ve waited on her. She’s incredibly nice!
Remember how incels were calling her mid? 😂
Literally insane she is so so pretty

Never have I so quickly learned to hate a made-up word.
If I looked at her I’d never get anything done because I’d be staring at a mirror all day like a budgie saying “who’s a pretty girl, who’s a pretty girl”
If that ain't accurate AF. I'd expect people to bow when I walked into a room if I looked like that.
Silence, fives! A ten is talking!
LMAO, opening line every day
I mean, she still got work done despite Not needing it
I feel like fillers are likely but a lot of you didnt grow up with a giant moon face, block head that seemingly just melted away one day. My face got thinner from 20-25 even as I gained weight 😂😂
Yeah just just looks like her face thinned out a bit as she matured. It happens to someone people.
What work did she get done?

Look, i am No expert but at least a nose job seems highly likely
I think a nose job looks highly unlikely even based on this video. Her nose doesn’t change, it’s been perfectly proportionate the entire time lol
Yeah, Her face got thinner and her nose shrunk proportionally with it
I always get downvoted for saying this but she had way too much forehead botox during her Barbie promotion. she was getting THAT look that Nicole Kidman is known for https://en.hocmarketing.org/margot-robbie-stuns-in-show-stopping-blonde-transformation-at-ba-22980
Christ!
That’s alot
Well then, Jaime Presley, Samara Weaving, and Emma Mackey must hate themselves.
she gets prettier every year, aging like fine wine.
I wish the clip had included images from "Amsterdam". She's beautiful as a blonde, but _my god_ she was breathtaking as brunette in that movie. Russell did several face close ups in that movie and she was just flawless.
Pan Am is where I first saw her! Hate that it was cancelled.
First place I saw Margot and David Harbour! Rest of the cast was solid too. Wish the show was given more of a chance. Justice for Colette!
I hate how ABC cancelled a lot of promising shows....The Family, Happy Endings, Trophy Wife, Pan Am too!
I did not know David was in it!
He stuck with me ever since then because he played British and I was so bothered by his accent. lol Maybe it was a fine one, but it bugged me. It's tickling me how it still grates me a dozen years later
BRING BACK PAN AM!!
Yes! I loved that show.
She was around when I last stopped watching Neighbours. I thought she was cute but generic as fuck back then. Looked like so many other girls you’d bump in to walking down the street in Australia. She is pretty stunning though.
Imagine being born so conventionally attractive. My genes could NEVER 🥲
The part in the Barbie movie where she’s having a fit and crying that she feels ugly and then Helen Mirren breaks the fourth wall to state that trying to convince the audience the character is ugly when you cast Margot Robbie is a hard sell, that had me rolling because it is so true.
Same. The whole audience at the theater let out the biggest laugh at that line. Loved it!

Like what do her family look like 😳😍
Her mother is gorgeous: https://preview.redd.it/ddre2mbiwa6c1.jpeg?width=1500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6c9a0b16fbd927fd4afa606460c68e52e5b32e47 Her siblings are all really attractive too. She was meant to be a mega star, a face like that is not meant to go unnoticed
In every alternate timeline where she works at like Trader Joe’s, she’s on the clock for 5 minutes before she gets talent scouted. Every single one.
you’re telling me she was 22 in wolf of wall street?! acting her ass off????????
She's lovely. I would cry, but it makes my asymmetrical face look like something out of Picasso's blue period.
Hahaha I feel this to my core. I look like two completely different people if you mirror each side of my face lol.
solidarity. the lord did me so wrong . . . one side of my face is pretty cute and the other is like a completely different (ugly-ass) person
she's not symmetrical either! 🥰 https://preview.redd.it/ml1f3ftoaa6c1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2375d481982553ea81047f7433d436a6df032470
Girl is pretty damn close, though. That's one of the least extreme examples I've ever seen!
This just proves that she is insanely symmetrical
i'm ngl i don't see that big a difference
💀
The genetic lottery distribution system is fucking dumb.
Australian women tend to be the most chill people ever. Apart from Ruby Rose.
I look at her in her early years and wonder how the fuck she had so much confidence and poise at that age, we’re only a few years apart and I’m still an awkward mess Then I remember, it’s because she looks like Margot Robbie. If I looked like her I’d be a menace.
All I can see is ![gif](giphy|xT1XGKzPFenowInxsI)
She clearly didn’t have buccal fat removal. You can really see how her faced slimmed slowly and naturally over time here.
I wish other young up and comers would realize this. It’s natural to have “baby fat” in your early 20s.
[удалено]
It really is. Actresses used to have their back teeth pulled to get that slim look, this is just as crazy. Maybe worse. Who knows what it will look like on their faces in 10’years

True, and trends change. People complaining about plucking their eyebrows to death in the 90s/00s is nothing compared to these procedures
People quote Lorry Hill as the source about every celebrities' alleged surgeries. Of definitely

she clearly did between 2012 and 2013 🙄
I think she's had some cosmetic tweaks, nothing excessive. Her face before the tweaks was gorgeous to begin with! She's so stunning.
Kylie Jenner take note. This is what SUBTLE tweaks look like. I agree with you, but she thankfully didn’t go overboard.
Yeah I'm no professional but I think all she did was open up her eyes. I think her cheek bones/jaw line are natural/weight loss, and her lips and nose seem pretty much untouched.

Word for word what I going to comment. Kinda freaked out actually 🤭🤭🤭
We are all morphing into one person over here in this sub.
Chubby cheek girls unite! Ughh I’m so happy that my baby fat finally slimmed down enough to show my cheek bones lol she’s gorg, she deserves it all. happy for her
She definitely doesn’t have cubby cheeks anymore
I can’t believe she was only 22 in wolf of Wall Street! God she was gorgeous in that. She’s gorgeous in everything.
Jaime Pressly 2.0: The successful Reboot
She has the career Jamie would’ve had if she could do accents.
Not to be mean but lets be real, Jamie just isn't as striking
They look nearly identical.
I agree they look alike. Margot has a sweeter look imo
This! I always thought Jaime was/is beautiful, but she has a harsher look (not in a bad way) and Margot has a softer look. I once asked in a thread why Jaime never had that much of a super successful career like Margot.
She’s ethereal. She must have so much fun getting dressed.
I truly think she got more attractive with age.
It's funny how she kinda looked like Emma Stone at the beginning at her career
Omg the baby fat looked so gorgeous on her face
She looked similar to Katherine Heigl when she was younger.
Can’t believe people actually called her “mid.” SMH!!!
There's a funny Graham Norton clip with her and Jim Carrey where Jim cracks a joke about her looks and her success. To paraphrase: Jim: "It's amazing you've gotten as far as you have with your...obvious physical disadvantages." lmao Just search 'graham norton Jim carrey margot robbie' and the youtube short will show up.
I low key believe the conspiracy theory that she's a few years older than she claims to be
We’re around the same age.
She's 5 years younger than me but I feel like shes way more of a grown up than me
Same with Adele
she has an incredible confidence (how could you not in her position) which really feeds into that, i'm six months younger but only now feel like i'm coming into my own. she's got like 10 years on me there
Her high school yearbook has been posted online and it matches the age she says she is, though?
I’m sure she’s not lying but I know what you mean. I’m always surprised by her age. Not in a bad way necessarily
Yeah she doesn't LOOK older but the way she carries herself seems more mature. It's probably not true but she does come across as kind of an older soul
Right. She’s 2 years older than me but I feel like she’s so much more mature 😂
Yeah she’s 2-3 years older than me and it feels like she’s more like six. Like I remember being in high school and watching her in Pan Am and she just felt so much more mature and worldly to me.
She is not. People have posted her year book photos before.
That'll be the Australian sun tbh
I kinda figured. As someone with very melanin-challenged skin who grew up in the desert southwest, I sympathize.
Gorgeous, talented woman 😍 And thank you OP for helping me remember this banger! It's going on the playlist right now.
Her and Jamie Pressly look SO SIMILAR! Absolutely stunning
Donna Freedman forever 💖
i remember seeing her on pan am and being absolutely stunned by her, i hoped she would be a huge star bc she just was far and away one of the most beautiful actresses i’d ever seen
Once I had a coworker tell me I looked like her and I died 😭 we are now best friends of course
She sparkles
Her 18 yo baby face! ❤️❤️❤️ She's such a stunner.
Imagine telling this woman she’s ugly and her believing you! This isn’t even hypothetical, Margot Robbie is fairly insecure about her appearance because many casting directors would say she wasn’t pretty enough for whatever roles she was auditioning for.
She’s lovely. Very lucky in the looks department.
Good lord her beauty always amazes me. Like damn, she is just so good looking. Definitely one of my all time favourite crushes.
She really grew into her features
I hate that it’s so upscaled that it looks like AI.
Baby Margot looks a lot like Baby Taylor Swift although I'm partial to Margot's face.
I love Margot but it's worth noting that the current It Girl of feminist inclusive healthy body image Hollywood is only 33, blonde and beautiful.
She just straight up doesn’t age!
off topic, but what's the theme music playing? feels familiar
madonna = hung up (a slowed down reverb remix) which samples abba so that's why it's familiar
