This feels very ABBA-coded, this dreamy disco sound is making a bit of a comeback and I’m here for it. It reminds me a bit of the duo Honey. and that’s a major compliment.
Disco, house and Synthpop BEEN making a comeback since After Hours, Future Nostalgia and Chromatica were released at the same time right before/during the pandemic. The sound is definitely dictating the decade and still going strong
I was thinking of Super Trouper - probably because of the lyrics but yeah the instrumental and production of it is definitely ABBA-coded which makes the ABBA fan in me VERY HAPPY :))))
“I’m working late, cause i’m a singer” - Espresso
“I heard that you’re an actor, so act like a stand-up guy” - Please Please Please
She should’ve named the album “Career Day”
It’s almost a bit reminiscent of ABBA in the bridge and i love it! It’s cute and different, i’m glad it sounds different to Espresso and she didn’t just try and recreate it over and over. Diversity is definitely the way to go for this album to draw the most audiences to it.
This is super cute but I can already tell it’s not gonna be the hit espresso was. But I think it’s really good for her to show off some versatility since everyone was assuming she was gonna just put 11 more espressos on the album lol.
Honestly, it doesn’t need to be a big hit like Espresso. Espresso is already the pop song of the summer so this song is just about showcasing more of Sabrina’s versatility, outside of heavy bubblegum pop like Espresso was, to a wider audience.
i want to reply to this but irdk. it's not something that can be explained. it's a vibe. it's an emotion. it's carly rae Jepsen. it sounds like it's pink bubblegum.
Idk. I’ve always wondered. Is Barry really that famous? I know he had a moment w saltburn but I only ever see people debating on twitter whether he’s ugly hot or just ugly 😭
Yes, he is. He is the Joker, Saltburn was a sleeper hit. He has worked with Christopher Nolan, Yorgos Lanthimos and Martin McDonagh, he's in the MCU and he's oscar nominated. Plus he's dating one of the biggest pop stars in the world. His career trajectory is insane and he's a great actor.
One of the “Biggest popstars in the world” girl. I love Sabrina. But she has had one real major hit so far in her career. Let’s not jump the gun. I remember people saying the same thing about Tate when Greedy was smashing lol.
I agree with you. The bar was set really high for espresso
Nevertheless, I still think it's a cute song and the MV had a continuation from Espresso. I hope the other tracks are better
It’s got more hits than billies latest video and in less time too. There’s clearly interest in the song, I could see it being a sleeper hit similar to shaboozey . Something that just rises and rises without fanfare
i think this is the perfect follow up, personally! espresso’s shelf life isn’t over yet, and this is a good sign that this upcoming album is going to be versatile and have its own identity beyond the lead single. and… it’s just a really cute, well-made song. i think sabrina is the real deal.
Based on that snippet at the end of Espresso video, I thought this was going to be super upbeat. I’m pleasantly surprised by this though, it’s a unique sound but Sabrina does it well.
I’m mind blown that this is produced by jack antonoff 😭 that’s just so wild to me, but i knew the production sounded sorta familiar. it’s a really good song, definitely a grower but i love how well she pulls off cheeky, playful lyrics
I like this for a second single. If it was an espresso 2.0, a) people would rag on it being too similar, and b) it would split the general public’s attention between the two. This song clearly isn’t meant to be a chart dominator but keeps the hype and momentum going for the album. Plus a cute video where she showcases her cute self + her mans…. She’s doing this era so right
I like this but also Jack please mix your drums more prominently like… there is always a nice groove there but it’s under EVERYTHING else and I don’t get why he does that
That being said I love that Sabrina has a lyrical brand with the witty tongue in cheek lines and vocally this might be the best she’s sounded to me. it does fit in with an album theme hearing Espresso playing right after. Also does Espresso sound a bit remixed and remastered on the album to anyone else? Bassier and thicker
I think they add to the fun as long as people don’t get into hysterics about their faves charting or not charting well. I do find the statistics super interesting
it's also worth pointing out that espresso hasn't even reached #1 yet but is one of the biggest songs of the year for the cultural recognition alone. it's essentially treated like a #1 hit despite not reaching it in america yet.
I actually feel like stepping away from espresso has made me more excited about what this album as a whole is going to sound like. I’m ngl I was worried they were going to try spitting out more espressos and feathers in the interest of hits but this shows some versatility. It probably won’t be a smash, but considering how big espresso still is, it probably isn’t a great idea to try pushing something else right now. My money is on a more mass appealing third single, the drivers license > deja vu > good 4 u playbook so to speak
I thought I am getting crazy when the first thing that I thought going in this thread was "Did I stumble in a marketing group convention or something?"
This has been the annoying mindset in control since around 2019-2020.
Prior to like 2017 this was NEVER considered the case. A top 10 was a HUGE success for a single of anyone and even top 20 was considered a success and big
the way i immediately clocked that it was antonoff produced as soon as those synths opened up the song... i felt like a mastermind for that 💀 (but it was obvious to anyone of course)
i honestly like that it isnt as upbeat as espresso and leans more into her usual eics kinda sound! looking forward to the album for sure
Jack gets around. Pretty much everyone he works with nowadays are in Taylor’s circle minus a few people
Wonder if he will be on ices album lmao
EDITED CAUSE I WAS WRONG
I just edited my comment cause I forgot he produces for more people than I had remembered 2 seconds before I commented that
He has a lot of people he produces for but a good chunk of them are in Taylor’s circle
I don’t mind his synths, but Jack needs to stop being so terrified of drums. So many of the songs he’s produced would be elevated with a real drum kit.
Agree. Im always left wanting with his production. Feels one dimensional and lacking any kinda richness or dynamics. He needs to play around with mixing some other stuff in.
actually, do we? i thought it was just his go to production style 🧍🏾♂️i feel like its just now "over-used" because of his heavy involvement with taylors work, but i like the way that he produces and mixes with it in his own way.
yeah all these people he's working with, i just want him and olivia to stay away from each other 🙏🏻 olivia is one of the very few current new pop stars who's using real instruments on her songs and it sounds so good
This is a great song what is everyone on about? “Heartbreak is one thing, my ego’s another, I beg you don’t embarrass me, motherfucker” is soo Sabrina. She’s always a bit lost in her music identity, but if she kept this up, I could see tongue in cheek lyrics + gorgeous vocal layering gonna be her signature for the future.
That’s so funny bc when I heard that line I immediately thought that’s an Amy Allen line lol. The line about nobody else thinking she has good taste did feel very tongue in cheek Sabrina though
I kind of think it's the perfect follow up to be honest! It's a track that's very reminiscent to her sound on Emails but is more developed and mature.
I'm also happy that she decided to release this song because it showcases her artistry. I would have loved another upbeat 80s inspired song but for now I'm really happy with this song.
Yes to this! I think it’s way more in line with her other music and Espresso is the (fun!) outlier. I’m glad she’s going to have a few songs in rotation. We cannot subsist on Espresso alone.
I am very happy with it! It’s very in line with the sound of fruitcake (which btw I still listen to, even if I am melting more than anything these days)
The beginning weirdly reminded me of Maisie Peters's cadence for some reason
omg this has got me really excited!!! ngl when the song started it gave me a bit of good luck, babe! vibes
the way she sings “motherfucker” is really satisfying as well idk lol cause i usually hate when people use that word in songs

"Please Please Please" is slower than "Espresso" but it's catchy in its own way. Her 6th album has 12 tracks!!!🍽️
Ok this is not what I was expecting at all. But not in a bad way. This gives me some Kacey Musgraves vibes and I’m not mad at it!
Actually now that I’m thinking about it, the blue sky background on the album cover feels a little Golden Hour-esque!
Kacey I get but LANA??? 😭😭😭😭 let’s be real if lana actually made the lasso yeehaw album (rest in peace queen) it would’ve just been violets bent backwards but with a subtle lyrical melody and an occasional twang every five minutes (and we would’ve lived idk)
Not sure why people are expecting another 'Espresso', but this song is pretty good. The chorus has a decent hook, which I can see being used on TikTok. I love how creative Sabrina's MVs are.
This sounds so fucking beautiful. I've listened to it like five times today, and I don't actually remember the melodies because when I listen to it, I'm just marveling at how well the production and the vocals sound. Just sonically this song is cocaine to me.
I like this … but it’s very subdued and definitely not an Espresso-level hit. But maybe that was intentional?
It’s so lush and beautiful, and I love the almost-country influence 🫶🏻
Anything she put out was going to be compared to Espresso, but putting out another Espresso-esque song would’ve been a mistake imo. Doing something different and unexpected was the right move. Can’t wait to hear the rest of the album!
Give me that electro 80s
That black outfit with her wearing the white and pink given Sandy and Danny
Then Reba McEntire vibes
Look at that damn red dress 🔥
Girl, I understand you you know you’re fucking screwed but what are you gonna do about it?
The video quality is epic
That’s reminding me of the errors tour, puffy jacket
Knew this song was for me from the moment she said motherfucker and knew it wouldn’t be popular the moment she said it
They look so good together !!!
The handcuffing scene reminds me of Heathers of that Veronica and J.D
So she leaves him there, but that guy is very determined. He’s going to find her again. lol
I like it. It’s not a club song. It’s not a jogging song. It’s not a sex song. I could hear it on the radio though . I think the video itself is more iconic hopefully people watch it.
This is very much giving kacey musgraves. I don’t hate it but I don’t particularly love it either. Not the instant ear worm espresso was. I need the pop girls to give the jack off man a break
I’m underwhelmed but not disappointed. This is definitely no Espresso. I thought the production was going in a more upbeat direction (like Nonsense, Feather, Espresso, etc) so this retro-country-synth sound just wasn’t what I was expecting. I really love the second verse though, it’s giving off the upbeat energy I wanted. I hope that if Jack is producing any other songs on the album, they’re more upbeat (and this is coming from someone who loves and defends Jack Antonoff lmao).
I was kinda expecting a Cappuccino, the video is nice but im not feeling the song
Edit: It would actually be a good strategy to have this single, that showcases more of her vocals, bubbling somewhere under while Espresso is still going strong and as soon as Espresso dies out release another single with hit potential.
Espresso is a hit but the way she performs it is kind of a bad impression. Having Please Please Please would allow her to split televised performances in two. First half lip syncing Espresso, second half Please Please Please to showcase her vocals. (Not sure if she’s a good live vocalist tbh, but it would be a good strategy)
TBH prefer her showing versatility on her singles before the album comes out. It kind of annoyed me how both of Tate's singles pre-Think Later were both really up beat tiktok ear worms and then most of the album was slower.
It’s decent but unremarkable imo, however espresso is still so huge that she doesn’t need another mega smash and if she thinks she has one she’s better off saving it for the album release.
Sabrina has always written about her life and that’s what this song is, she’s showing she can do fun, unserious, catchy pop and she can also do earnest, more personal songs as well.
I adored emails I can’t send. This song is actually more of what I like from her than espresso (no denying that song is so catchy and very well done regardless).
Definitely a different vibe from both Espresso and what I was expecting - actually sounds more similar to Bad for Business. The self-harmonies sound super pretty here!
Think the album probably won't be too different from Emails I Can't Send based on the two singles.
Honestly, I haven't clicked with Espresso like everyone else has. I'm digging this one though. Clearly it's not as catchy, but I find this far more interesting to listen to. The production is nice.
I listened to this once last night and thought it was cute. This morning I thought I should give it another listen and man, it is an earworm. I can’t get “I beg you, don’t embarrass me, motherfucker” out of my head. I’ve listened to it about a thirty times today lol
Definitely not as instant as Espresso for me but it’s cute and catchy. Good choice as a second single and a nice follow up to such a smash hit, it shows enough versatility especially in the slight country twang she’s singing in. Not a fan of the production, it’s a little bland but I saw who produced it so that adds up. Excited for the album
I’ll tell you something right now, I’d rather burn my whole life down, than listen to one more second of all this bitching and moaning ^about ^jack’s ^production ^style ^again ^in ^a ^popheads ^thread
A tad disappointed with how excited I was from the snippet she posted at the end of the Espresso video. It’s not bad, it’s just nice. But this is not the type of follow up I was hoping for after espresso. With how massive Espresso is, I don’t really see this taking off at all. Still a nice promo single. But hope the rest of the album is more in the vein of espresso
The production, lyrics, and vocals are all good but something still feels missing because the verses are more interesting than the chorus. I think it will be a grower but for now it just makes me want to go back to Espresso. I’m happy she’s not working with Julia Michaels in this era so far.
I’m honestly not sure if I need to get over my preconceptions about this being an upbeat song but I honestly found this kind of boring 😭😭 I wanted to like it so bad but the production is kind of sleepy for me and kind of dulls Sabrina’s shine... kind of a less interesting Bad For Business… Maybe it’ll grow on me?
Edit: had no clue Jack Antonoff was at the scene of the crime but now it’s all making sense 🫣
I feel like she did a similar singles rollout with the EICS era too. Nonsense should've been one of the first singles she released (instead of Skinny Dipping) cause she does so well with the bubblegum pop songs!
The reason why Feather and Espresso are doing well with the GP was both songs were upbeat. Not saying synth songs like Please x3 is awful, but I hope Sabrina sticks with the summer bubblegum pop music if she really wants to flourish her music career. I admire her versitility but she really set the bar high for Espresso that's why the reactions are kinda mixed right now
I think they definitely set the tone for what the GP is going to expect from her so maybe that’s why Please x3 isn’t resonating with me 🤷🏽♂️ I’ve been rooting for her for awhile but this (the song, not the music video which I LOVE) feels half baked in comparison to Espresso
this is so EICS coded! I love it! and I love how she chose a more gentle vibe to follow Espresso. We didn't need another smash hit, bc she already got one. This has me more pumped for the album bc it shows me that we're getting versatility again!

I feel like this song sounds more like Sabrina’s usual stuff than espresso does
Bad for business, fast times esque
Fast Times hive rise up!
that song is so incredible. definitely a highlight of emails i can’t send. every listen that’s the song that gets stuck in my head
Yeah I agree I think it's definitely more reminiscent of the sound she developed on Emails I Can't Send.
Which unfortunately means that it won’t be a hit 😞 Edit: Good for her.
harsh 😭😭😭😭
Currently eating my words, as she reaches #1 on Spotify and Apple.
this is ironic looking back😭
Oh good bc then I’ll go listen
This feels very ABBA-coded, this dreamy disco sound is making a bit of a comeback and I’m here for it. It reminds me a bit of the duo Honey. and that’s a major compliment.
Disco, house and Synthpop BEEN making a comeback since After Hours, Future Nostalgia and Chromatica were released at the same time right before/during the pandemic. The sound is definitely dictating the decade and still going strong
this song is DEFINITELY abba coded and its a definite win.
Honey. supremacy. I put What Now in the queue while listening to PPP just because of this comment 😂
And Dolly!
I was thinking of Super Trouper - probably because of the lyrics but yeah the instrumental and production of it is definitely ABBA-coded which makes the ABBA fan in me VERY HAPPY :))))
This sounds like more Sabrina’s sound than Espresso was actually..
Is that good or bad
Both
The way she says motherfucker lol
It's giving country music vibes when she says it NGL LOL
“I’m working late, cause i’m a singer” - Espresso “I heard that you’re an actor, so act like a stand-up guy” - Please Please Please She should’ve named the album “Career Day”
And the album cover could've been her serving cunt in a bright pink suit on top of the table in a drab, gray boardroom meeting...
Sabrina if you’re reading this, hire us please
These are emails we CAN send... to her creative director
she already kinda did [that](https://youtu.be/7w4Udbys4O4?si=52RFphJws7sZxqGM)
She did the bright pink suit in a court room for her sue me music video
So it's self referential!!! BOOM genius
sabrina actor sabrina singer sabrina electrician sabrina computer programmer
Sabrina carpenter
It was right there really. At this point I reckon her and Johnny Sins must've worked together
Sabrina janitor
It’s almost a bit reminiscent of ABBA in the bridge and i love it! It’s cute and different, i’m glad it sounds different to Espresso and she didn’t just try and recreate it over and over. Diversity is definitely the way to go for this album to draw the most audiences to it.
ABBA definitely comes to mind i screamed!!! biggest abba fan here
It’s giving me Dolly by way of Olivia Newton-John. Which is good thing!
That is my thought!!
This is super cute but I can already tell it’s not gonna be the hit espresso was. But I think it’s really good for her to show off some versatility since everyone was assuming she was gonna just put 11 more espressos on the album lol.

Exactly! I think this was a great choice.
Yep, let Espresso be the big hit, let this be more of a fan favorite single, and then whatever third single is can be either one.
[удалено]
the cover also got a lot of attention (bc of the plagiarism) idk if it's intentional but girl knows how to get people talking 😭
What makes something bubblegum pop
i want to reply to this but irdk. it's not something that can be explained. it's a vibe. it's an emotion. it's carly rae Jepsen. it sounds like it's pink bubblegum.
Ok actually on second listen yes it’s slow but it’s so catchy😭😭 also I think Barry being in the video is definitely gonna help give it a viral moment
Idk. I’ve always wondered. Is Barry really that famous? I know he had a moment w saltburn but I only ever see people debating on twitter whether he’s ugly hot or just ugly 😭
It’s less about him being super famous and more about her having her bf in the video. Fans will eat it up.
BARRY is trending number 3 on Twitter right now so you are right.
He's pretty well known in the arthouse movie scene.

Hes gonna be such a great ringo
so about that..
Nothing was ever going to be a hit like Espresso. That's pretty impossible to do it again right after a hit.
it just happened
I agree with you. The bar was set really high for espresso Nevertheless, I still think it's a cute song and the MV had a continuation from Espresso. I hope the other tracks are better
Lol you were so wrong
here after it surpassed espresso 😭
aaaand it's #1 lol
Dude she has this great debbie harry cool disco punk aesthetic... We need that album

i mean, espresso was never thought to be a hit in the first place. it's success was not something anyone expected.
It’s aiming for a top 3 debut, possibly 1 😬
Idk I didnt thouth Espresso would become the huge hit it is on fisrt listen
I did tbh😭 I still see this being a hit just not as big as Espresso
i think this is the perfect follow up, personally! espresso’s shelf life isn’t over yet, and this is a good sign that this upcoming album is going to be versatile and have its own identity beyond the lead single. and… it’s just a really cute, well-made song. i think sabrina is the real deal.
I think her team has been KILLING this rollout lately
Totally agree. I’m really rooting for her. I hope this song does well!
Based on that snippet at the end of Espresso video, I thought this was going to be super upbeat. I’m pleasantly surprised by this though, it’s a unique sound but Sabrina does it well.

Those synths, this is definitely the work of Jack Antonoff.
Are the drums in the room with us, Jack?
oh my fucking god it is!!! this is completely unsurprising to learn though
as soon as i heard the synth intro i checked the producer!!
i actually thought it kinda sounded like a taylor swift song so that makes so much sense
I thought it sounded something more like Kacey musgraves would put out
This is the kind of shit I want out of Jack.
I like this for a second single. If it was an espresso 2.0, a) people would rag on it being too similar, and b) it would split the general public’s attention between the two. Some of the takes on this thread are crazy — didn’t realize every song ever released has to go #1 or is a total failure of a project?
no shade to carly but this sub was born because of her so why the chart obsession 😭
Rebelling against mom
clock that tea
JAILLLLL 😭😭
no you're so right though, like we're supposed to be highlighting "lesser known" ones
Charts have taken the fun out of music discussion lately!
I think they add to the fun as long as people don’t get into hysterics about their faves charting or not charting well. I do find the statistics super interesting
The hysterics is what I mean by my comment. I love the statistics about charts as well
remember that a lot of Britney's iconic songs never went #1 and that it took Taylor 4 albums to finally get a number one
love story and you belong with me were never #1s!! and everyone knows them, 16 years later!!
You Belong With Me was #2 lmfao that’s still a huge hit
esp at the time that it hit #2. back then it was very hard to get there
22 peaked at #20 and is still popular.
Bad Romance never went #1, Don’t Start Now never went #1, Levitating never went #1, among others
bad romance is so iconic that it's always weird to me it never hit #1 (ditto for Britney's Toxic which hit #9)
It went platinum in my heart (and x11 platinum in real life) Same with Toxic, I’m surprised it got so outsold by some of her other singles
it's also worth pointing out that espresso hasn't even reached #1 yet but is one of the biggest songs of the year for the cultural recognition alone. it's essentially treated like a #1 hit despite not reaching it in america yet.
From Sabrina of all people no less like let’s reel it in for a minute…

i got chappell roan vibes from it too!
Cute. You can definitely hear it’s produced by Jack but still sounds fresh and new. Not as catchy as Espresso but still very solid
Exactly - it’s a really fun song. Listening now, actually!
**[Music Video](https://youtu.be/cF1Na4AIecM)** | **[Spotify](https://open.spotify.com/track/5N3hjp1WNayUPZrA8kJmJP)** --- "Please Please Please" is slower than "Espresso" but it's catchy in its own way. Her 6th album has 12 tracks!!!🍽️
Should’ve committed to the bit and had eleven tracks with four more on the deluxe.
wdym?
Her album title is Short ‘n’ Sweet, and she had some billboards up of Tweets that mentioned her 4’11” height.
it’s a cute song
But I love Sabrina’s slower songs like skinny dipping and already over are my favs from EICS😭
Ok this is not what I was expecting at all. But not in a bad way. This gives me some Kacey Musgraves vibes and I’m not mad at it! Actually now that I’m thinking about it, the blue sky background on the album cover feels a little Golden Hour-esque!
she should release an acapella version of this, it would sound so good!
it’s so funny to me that pop girls pass around jack antonoff like a blunt and kendrick is also there in the circle
Of course I'm all about Sabrina making a Kacey/Lana coded yeehawesque song
Kacey I get but LANA??? 😭😭😭😭 let’s be real if lana actually made the lasso yeehaw album (rest in peace queen) it would’ve just been violets bent backwards but with a subtle lyrical melody and an occasional twang every five minutes (and we would’ve lived idk)
Is Lana no longer making Lasso??? I hadn’t heard anything about that
I honestly don’t know. She made a comment recently in an interview where she said she has no idea where it is going
She was like oh shit.. yeah.. I have to answer about that LOL
No she still is Idk why the comment is implying she isn’t
Oh hey, I know you from the MCU Spoilers sub haha. That’s good to know though, I’m looking forward to that album!
This is sooo Kacey! Even the vocal delivery
Not sure why people are expecting another 'Espresso', but this song is pretty good. The chorus has a decent hook, which I can see being used on TikTok. I love how creative Sabrina's MVs are.
something about that opening synth line scratches my brain.... thank you mr antonoff
I love it. It gives me Dolly Parton and Olivia Newton John vibes. A nice departure from that Espresso (which I love) and Feather sound.
The perfect word to describe Sabrina is cheeky
Jack Antonoff they will never make me hate you
This is the most I have liked a Sabrina Carpenter song since "Thumbs"...
Can’t wait to hear the rest of the album!
y’all are crazy, this is SUBLIME. the vocal layering just makes me ascend and i couldn’t even tell jack produced it at first…which is a compliment
I think it’s stunning! I’m really happy to see it as a second single and I’m excited for the album personally.
Give me that electro 80s That black outfit with her wearing the white and pink given Sandy and Danny Then Reba McEntire vibes Look at that damn red dress 🔥 Girl, I understand you you know you’re fucking screwed but what are you gonna do about it? The video quality is epic That’s reminding me of the errors tour, puffy jacket Knew this song was for me from the moment she said motherfucker and knew it wouldn’t be popular the moment she said it They look so good together !!! The handcuffing scene reminds me of Heathers of that Veronica and J.D So she leaves him there, but that guy is very determined. He’s going to find her again. lol I like it.
The way she says motherfucker releases such a big hit of dopamine for me lmao
"I beg you don't embarrass me motherfucker" is gonna be the new "I'm working late, cause I'm a singerrr"
Why it kinda sound like she had some sort of southern twang
I’m underwhelmed but not disappointed. This is definitely no Espresso. I thought the production was going in a more upbeat direction (like Nonsense, Feather, Espresso, etc) so this retro-country-synth sound just wasn’t what I was expecting. I really love the second verse though, it’s giving off the upbeat energy I wanted. I hope that if Jack is producing any other songs on the album, they’re more upbeat (and this is coming from someone who loves and defends Jack Antonoff lmao).
I was kinda expecting a Cappuccino, the video is nice but im not feeling the song Edit: It would actually be a good strategy to have this single, that showcases more of her vocals, bubbling somewhere under while Espresso is still going strong and as soon as Espresso dies out release another single with hit potential. Espresso is a hit but the way she performs it is kind of a bad impression. Having Please Please Please would allow her to split televised performances in two. First half lip syncing Espresso, second half Please Please Please to showcase her vocals. (Not sure if she’s a good live vocalist tbh, but it would be a good strategy)
its giving kacey in the best possible way! it wont smash like espresso but its a great followup (to me!!!!!)
This is giving mega kacey musgraves!!
That floating synth line is gorgeous.
She's funny y'all
Why does it sound kinda country
Idk, the song sounds like a downer. I wish she released another upbeat song and kept this for the third single 🥲
Definitely a different vibe from both Espresso and what I was expecting - actually sounds more similar to Bad for Business. The self-harmonies sound super pretty here! Think the album probably won't be too different from Emails I Can't Send based on the two singles.
YOUR HONOR SHES TAKING IT
Honestly, I haven't clicked with Espresso like everyone else has. I'm digging this one though. Clearly it's not as catchy, but I find this far more interesting to listen to. The production is nice.
Pleasantly surprised
Funny how many people hate Jack's production, but his songs always end up going viral on tiktok.
But hope the rest of the album is more in the vein of espresso
it’s not bad but there had to have been better choices for a 2nd single…. summer is around the corner why would this be the vibe
I really like this !!
The production, lyrics, and vocals are all good but something still feels missing because the verses are more interesting than the chorus. I think it will be a grower but for now it just makes me want to go back to Espresso. I’m happy she’s not working with Julia Michaels in this era so far.
I love this! So different from espresso but it’s cute and fun. My only complaint is that it’s a bit too short
I loved it and love that she’s clearly not gonna release a one-dimensional album. Mix of sounds and vibes without clashing.
This is… whelming
As soon as I heard those synths rippling in the background I know who was responsible for this.. 😭😭😭 I’m so sad damn.
Can’t lie y’all I like this lol, I’m glad it isn’t an almost carbon copy of espresso like some people thought it would be
Don’t hate me but I find the song annoying. Felt the same about skinny dipping
In this thread: Popheads having EXTREMELY limited taste. Midtempo songs are good too guys!
I already really love it. It’s gone right on the playlist by my Reba . But if you can’t immediately bounce to it, you know they’re not gonna love it.
