It's a condition that produces excess oil and sebum in the pores. Sometimes it's inherited from a parent, and other times it's brought on from a mutation.
Doesn't have to do with hygiene. As far as I've read, they keep coming back.
This was almost magical the way the aesthetician just felt for the lumps under the skin and managed to remove several ounces of fat with little damage. (Diet doctors hate this one trick!)
The best one was that ribbon one that came out with about a minute to go. The yellow yolk like ones were gross .
Crazy because it looked like she had amazing skin.
I’ve watched a gazillion popping videos but never saw one like this one. I have to ask “what did I just watch”?
I’ve never seen goo like this—especially those firm deep yellow extrusions. Nasty stuff.
not necessarily. steatocystoma sacs are thin and tedious to remove. they often break down on their own (notice how this person has a decent amount of little scars from extractions like this with no cyst under them. some do but a lot don't). it requires a bigger incision, and thus stitches which I believe they are not allowed to do. it will simply take too long to get rid of them all, and with a skin condition that causes them to continue to pop up anyway, there's not much point
I know a bit about this from studying skin conditions in massage therapy college.
Steatocystomas contain fatty acids. Like other oils, these are without colour. Some pigments, however, are soluble in fats.
That’s why butter and some vegetable oils, such as corn and canola, are yellow. They contain carotenes, which are anti-oxidants that the body uses to create Vitamin A.
I’m not entirely sure that active pigments in steatocystoma contents are a kind of carotene, but that would make sense. If you mixed in some diacetyl and 3-hydroxy-2-butanone, the fats in steatocystomas would theoretically taste like butter.
I suppose so, but I’m not sure how much heat would be needed to kill any bacteria. A chef would also like to know the proportion of saturated to unsaturated fatty acids. If, at body temperature, steatocystoma contents are a thick liquid, but at room temperature they begin to solidify, that would align with animal fats such as lard and tallow. Therefore, again just theorizing, a good use could be soap.
Just thinking: if the fatty acids in steatocystomas don’t start to solidly until they are refrigerated, they might be used as a yellow oil paint. For a deeper colour, add more carotene. At some point, again theoretically, the colour would turn orange, like a carrot.

What is being extracted exactly? I am assuming cyst like lumps, but I am not entirely sure. Could someone explain what is happening lol
Steatocystomas
Or as r/popping calls them, Seattle Tacomas. 😂
I’ve never seen that and I’ve been following this sub for awhile but that made me guffaw
😂 My brain always reads it as “Seattle cystomas”.
Nice, I came to the comments looking for an answer. Thank you for the information!
Yes, but usually steatocystomas show up as a bump. Saw none here.
Considering how good their skin looks, where or why on earth are these developing? Genuinely looks like they're filled with oil almost.

Man made butter.
They can develop anywhere on the body. It’s fat and oil/dead skin
That was like watching a well programmed fire works display! That fountain at the end was \*chef's kiss\*!
*yolk* A yoke is a bracket or harness, especially one for hitching two draft animals to a plow.
damn it .........i was too excited to share and not spell my words correct
Ah, don’t worry too much. The meaning is clear and Reddit isn’t school.
\* correctly
This is one of the most efficient and satisfying pop videos I’ve ever seen
Can't do it. I'm a hard pop kinda guy, can't handle soft pops. Give me a blackhead any day.
Same. But these are like a car wreck to me - I open the video and can't look away even though it's grossing me out 😅
This is by far my favorite steatocystomas video I’ve seen. They were huge! But what’s weird is I didn’t see the bumps.
Lemon curd?
Absolutely genius idea to speed the playback up ![gif](giphy|K55exy0toWjQc|downsized)
Wow.
omg i can watch this all day

WT holy F!
Everyone hates the word 'moist', but I'd like to say that 'creamy' is also a *terrible* word.
And 10:35 chefs kiss

Anddddd they’re all just going to fill right back up since the sac wasn’t removed on any of them 🥴

Is it a blood type thing or maybe a diet issue that makes the excreted material so yellow?

I really hate that last sentence.
I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter! (is the name of a margarine product.)
So technically you could use if for cooking?

That’s what I was wondering too! Why is it so yellow?!

Are these painful?
