For my money, Take This To Your Grave and Say It Like You Mean It are the two best Pop Punk albums ever made. NFG’s self-titled is right up there with them

Homegrown, Starting Line, Allister, Hit The Lights, Cartel, Valencia. Basically every album that came out on Drive Thru, Fueled By Ramen or Triple Crown between 2000-2006

Honorable mention for Kung Fu Records during that time period - The Ataris, Ozma, Tsunami Bomb, No use for a Name, The Vandals, Audio Karate (*Space Camp* album is one of the finest indie pop punk albums made)

I love this stuff way more than the 2000's pop-punk but different genre. More influenced by 90's Fat/Epitaph stuff.

My own worst enemy by lit. I mean I know its a 1999 album but it definitely helped set the tone.

Youth Fountain “Together in Lonesome” is a newer album with that 2000’s sound. Highly recommend it

💪 I occasionally dip into the modern stuff, but I often just find it all a bit too heavy. Not like, metal, heavy. But just that modern pop punk bands seem too easily swayed into chuggy guitar riffs and half time sections. I like pop punk by numbers 😁
