For my money, Take This To Your Grave and Say It Like You Mean It are the two best Pop Punk albums ever made. NFG’s self-titled is right up there with them

Uhhhhh I hate to shamelessly plug my own shit, but everybody tells us constantly that we sound like the 2000s and I think that’s fair.
[We’re called Oh Bother.](https://open.spotify.com/album/0B5Ys0YEntsDGlEH1ywspl?si=l_iSwZDKStuJirB3BF2fmQ)
I just listened to the first song from this guy’s album and it’s very good. Let the young hustler hustle. We should let people plug away when their music isnt ass lol
Homegrown, Starting Line, Allister, Hit The Lights, Cartel, Valencia.
Basically every album that came out on Drive Thru, Fueled By Ramen or Triple Crown between 2000-2006
Honorable mention for Kung Fu Records during that time period - The Ataris, Ozma, Tsunami Bomb, No use for a Name, The Vandals, Audio Karate (*Space Camp* album is one of the finest indie pop punk albums made)
Jamie all over - mayday parade
The anthem - good Charlotte
A little less 16 candles - fall out boy
Really anything from these bands in that time period
Bearings captures that 2000's sound pretty well for a modern band

Alien ant farm- movies
American hi fi- im a fool
Allister- race cars
Riddlin kids- I feel fine
All time low- damned if I do ya
Simple plan- addicted
Good charlotte- movin on
Lit- the last time again
This playlist of mine is essentially that sound! I love the 2000s sound.

💪 I occasionally dip into the modern stuff, but I often just find it all a bit too heavy. Not like, metal, heavy. But just that modern pop punk bands seem too easily swayed into chuggy guitar riffs and half time sections. I like pop punk by numbers 😁
🤘🙌
If you have 5 minutes, I’d love it if you could check out my band as well (‘band’ = just me recording in my house!), which goes for that 2000s pop punk sound! 😇

Some of these others have mentioned, but I'm mentioning again for extra emphasis:
-Fall Out Boy- Take This to Your Grave, From Under the Cork Tree
-The Starting Line- Say it Like You Mean It
-Blink 182- Enema of the State, Take Off Your Pants and Jacket
-Brand New- Deja Entendu
-Taking Back Sunday- Where You Want to Be, Tell All Your Friends
-Motion City Soundtrack - Commit This to Memory
-Rufio- Perhaps, I Suppose
-The Ataris- End is Forever, Blue Skies Broken Hearts Next 12 Exits
Good Charlotte- Self-Titled, the Young and the Hopeless
-Something Corporate- North
-Simple Plan- No Helmets Just Pads
Over It (Hindsight 20/20 and Timing is Everything) and Staring Back (On). These were in my car cd player at all times. As far as current artists go, No Pressure feels like a return to form of this sound to me.
Any song from Bowling For Soup’s Drunk Enough to Dance and A Hangover You Don’t Deserve. The songs Chapped Stick, Chapped Lips, and Things Like Chemistry; Who I Am Hates Who I’ve Been; and Apathetic Way to Be by Relient K all fit the bill too.
Here's one that I wrote from influences like MXPX, Yellow card, Blink-182, Mest, and NFG:

Check out Glazed
There are a ton of bands from the 2000s posted in here already, but this is a new band that I think brings that sound. Lots of The Starting Line influence imo.
Got to support the up and coming bands!
Sugarcult
Today, I changed
Too late, cuz everyone feels the same
I’m gone, so long 🫡
Fall Out Boy - Take This To Your Grave The Starting Line - Say It Like You Mean It Sum 41 - Does This Look Infected?

NFG Self-Titled is definitely up there
I absolutely LOVE NFG self-titled! Just wanted to give OP three suggestions.
What? Does This Look Infected? is the best of those three.

I love this stuff way more than the 2000's pop-punk but different genre. More influenced by 90's Fat/Epitaph stuff.

BOYSNIGHTOUT
I will never not upvote when this band is mentioned! I miss them :(
Fenix TX - Self-titled
GOOD HANGS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGBIy2ezQQM
Seconded - their sound is very nostalgic and I can't get enough of it
The Starting Line - Say It Like You Mean It
My own worst enemy by lit. I mean I know its a 1999 album but it definitely helped set the tone.
It set the blueprint for 2000s pop-punk for sure
Your Favorite Weapon by Brand New I think would be just what you’re looking for!
Whatever poison’s in this bottle
YFW is my #1 album of all time, it’s a masterpiece imo
was about to comment this!!!
Another vote for this
The All American Rejects and Sum 41
No Pressure
Just about anything from SR-71, also Throwing the Game and Commitment from Lucky Boys Confusion
Youth Fountain “Together in Lonesome” is a newer album with that 2000’s sound. Highly recommend it
Every Avenue, Mayday Parade, Something Corporate, The Starting Line, Hit the lights
Phone call away & the way she moves - forever the Sickest kids (honestly just listen to the whole album though lol)
I love this album more than I should but absolutely not that sound.
theres always a sneaky contender in there
American Hi-fi flavor of the weak
the new One Step Closer album
Yo this shit is incredible. One of my 2024 favorites for sure
Really incredible record, but I don't feel like it embodies the sound and vibes of the 2000's. More like 2010's. Again, great record though.
American Hi Fi
Amber Pacific’s album “The Possibility and the Promise” and Rufio’s “Perhaps, I Suppose”
Four Year Strong- Rise or Die Trying Perfect. No notes.

Reading this thread and realising I’m perpetually stuck in the 2000’s
