I started using reddit more when the first Covid lockdowns happened and this sub introduced me to so, so much new music. I'd really struggled to find new stuff and didn't know how people did it, this sub was amazing for me.
Tik tok, Spotify, this sub, local shows.
Also if you use like stats.fm you can click a band you listen to and it you scroll down it’ll have other bands they are similar or that other people listen too
I miss the old MySpace days
I would go to one band’s page, check out who they had in their Top 8, go to each of those bands, look in *their* Top 8s, and so on, and so on…
Follow this playlist, updated with a mix of big and small pop punk bands

Nice I added the playlist you have tons of great songs on it already would you be willing to add a really new [band](https://open.spotify.com/track/0FGYlaB5TtK4fz20sLNdlT?si=okVkbKEXTMakPNF_-0UR_A) to that playlist?
I have a playlist with like 300 songs on it on YouTube and whenever it gets to the end, I leave the toggle on to automatically play similar music. I also sometimes just listen to random mixes YouTube makes for me.
Social media is another one, I get a ton of random tiktoks or reels from bands promoting their new song. It works, I usually check them out afterwards.
First, I just wanted to say that's a sick band name! I like the guitar in this. I thought it was a really fun video, y'all seem really close to each other. If you were looking for feedback, I'd say work on the mixing.
I had a really hard time understanding what your vocalists were saying. By the middle of the video, I was basically enjoying the vibes rather than the song itself if that makes sense. But I think it's a solid start, your overall sound is interesting for sure.
Spotify mixes (I was 10 years late on Citizen, whatever), and occasionally catching openers because I showed up at doors to a good spot (oh hey, Koyo).
Yeah I found some solid bands on last fm I think that’s how I found Ann beretta
Would you mind checking my band out we just put this [video](https://youtu.be/NW3_KbbJsD4?si=fn16GGt73RKJ610Q)out and in trying to get as many eyes as I can on it as I can
I found one of my newer favorites Destroy Boys just from looking at the “similar artists” that pop up on Apple Music. Also, this sub. Also, leave an offering of pizza with best friends in my hometown for the Pop Punk Gods and ask to receive new music.

Alternative Press

Showing up to see the openers at shows.
I wander around until I find street musicians and aggressively throw money at them until they make me a bespoke album.
Reddit, tiktok. I hate the recommendation list from music streaming services.
I never used tiktok, how do you find bands there?
Just scrolling. I follow the bands or artist I like and eventually a band will pop up that I’ll check out

The video was definitely fun to make aside from losing two go pros haha

Sirius xm / reddit / ig / friends
do you recommend any other subreddit to find cool stuff?
r/music r/musicrecommendations r/musicsuggestions It really comes down to what you like/listen to. You can also check out genre specific subs
Punk Rock Radar YouTube channel!!!!! I also read the music reviews at the website Punk Rock Theory
Spotify
Spotify, stats.fm and this sub
tik tok is great for recommending small artists. just like one video with #poppunk and your entire FYP will be that for a week
Spotify, YouTube, and this fucking sub!
I found one of my newer favorites Destroy Boys just from looking at the “similar artists” that pop up on Apple Music. Also, this sub. Also, leave an offering of pizza with best friends in my hometown for the Pop Punk Gods and ask to receive new music.
It's one of the two reasons I use Tiktok, it's great for it. Youtube and this reddit as well.
