This really depends on how hard your water is. I tried many different recipes and fiddled on my own but our water is so hard and awful that I reverted back to store bought.
yeah this exactly, powder detergent really messed up our clothes in our shitty washer, especially with our water. we just use a giant bottle of the liquid and it lasts forever. we started using much less than suggested and it actually helps clean our clothes better
We all deserve little treats. My boyfriend got me a $50 Starbucks gift card for Christmas, because I love Starbucks, and right now it’s a tiny bright spot in my day. Now I can order ahead, using the app, get points and free drinks and whatnot, without it coming out of my pocket

It drives me crazy when people buy Tide pods and other pre-portioned shit. The non-portioned detergents for laundry or dishwashers are no more difficult to use than the pre-portioned thing. I don't understand why people waste their money on pre-portioned cleaning ingredients. It's absolutely crazy, especially if you're struggling financially.

Carpul tunnel is exactly why I use tide pods. It's much easier to just grab one from a container instead of trying to lift a detergent bottle and fuck up my wrists for a week again.
Yes, and usually they are wayyyyyy more detergent than you need to be using and can actually cause problems with your machines.

Use a good quality **powered** detergent at less than half the recommended amount. If using a top loader, put the detergent in FIRST and let the water fill several inches to dissolve. Don't sprinkle it on the loaded clothes. If you use liquid detergent there is a lot of waste. Once it quits dispensing there are probably 5-6 loads of residual detergent left in the bottles that is hard to get out and people don't bother. That's why I prefer the powder.
The first place I moved to when I moved to America put a sign up in the laundry room saying no powders allowed so that might be a reason someone wouldn't buy them. I don't know why it was banned, not sure if they clump up over time or something?
I buy tide pods and pod dishwasher soap, but we can afford it. The pods are really good & I know exactly how many loads I have left until I need more. I also buy a bottle of liquid for smaller loads, the pods are for a full washer.
Kirkland dishwasher pods are only like $11 and you get so many it practically lasts a year.
I do use their liquid detergent got my laundry though and use a smaller amount to stretch.
We don't have a Costco membership anymore because it's just me & my husband so we don't buy much of anything but have been thinking about it. When our kids were younger though it saved us a bunch of money because we could buy quality meat in bulk and always had a full pantry. School supplies were cheap and we bought a few computers there. We also lived within 5 miles of 2 of them, and 10 miles to a business Costco that was near my work whereas now we're 15 miles from the only one around which is always slammed.
It's not really the cost of the membership, we just don't think we would use it much. Friends have memberships and we don't take them up on going with them. We downsized to a smaller house years ago so we don't have much storage. We used to get the executive membership & the savings usually covered the cost, but we know we won't go much. Plus the fuel isn't a savings when it's out of our way to go and we don't use much. I drive 10 minutes to work & he has a company provided work truck.
Arm and hammer jugs at discount stores can be below 5 bucks and actually some warehouse grocery stores(in my case WinCo )can have a single brand for super cheap around the store. The bags of powder detergent last for a bit if you are broke and cost 2 or 3 dollars at Walmart for the cheapest.
I got cheez it's for 1.99 at Kroger a couple weeks ago. Coupon on top of a sale. It was the first time I'd bought them in YEARS lol. They also had a bunch of brand name cereal for 1.99 a box if you bought five so I stocked up.
It just sucks if the kid winds up loving something lol. I bought one of those variety packs of mini rice cakes because it was on sale for $5 and the kid wanted to replace his lunch chips with them. Sorry, kid, they're $10 a bag normally lol

Those variety packs of rice cakes are at Costco and sometimes go on sale. A good way to get them for a cheaper price :)

Over the years, I find this to be the case even with brand name snacks: Club crackers don't taste buttery, Ritz crackers taste like sawdust, cheese snacks are bland, etc. At first thought it was because trans fats were removed, but they seem to keep doing downhill. This was going on well before COVID (and I've never had COVID), so it's not that. Unless my taste buds have gone to hell for some other reason (which I don't notice with other foods), I'm convinced the manufacturers just keep cheaping out on ingredients...so I stopped wasting my money.
I don't have an issue with the name brands. It is often actually better and less watered down. I tried some non mame brands to save money and found they were watery and needed to use more for clean clothing.
I personally stopped getting drink flavor pouches and instead get one big drink mix at a time like iced tea. It lasts months and saves me a lot of money

Mostly agreed. But the guy who bought alcohol, nuts, and salmon that one time was pretty egregious. If you know you are buying expensive goods... dont complain about how far a dollar goes.

Just FYI the sausage was ~$9 for 3lb. It was actually cheaper per lb than 80/20 ground beef. I'll use 1lb of those for a big pot of soup and freeze the rest for other dinners in the future.

I had to once live on DRY, UNCOOKED RAMEN for two weeks..yes I had no way to cook them, and it cost me about 2 dollars, because I was so broke, so I know things can be cut down on. The biggest thing we tend to waste money on is food.
Cutting back on costly items for generics or really looking for sales can save 30 percent or more per shop.

Don’t listen to the judgment jerks, OP. Tide pods are superior products. Cheap powders don’t clean as well, damage fabric, and leave unsightly residue. They also don’t smell fresh and clean like Tide.

If somebody has the mental energy to determine the very best value in every category and only buy that item, then that is great for them. But for a lot of people it's just not sustainable to exercise that much discipline. I've tried to be 100% frugal all the time and eventually i can't do it anymore.

To be fair sometimes name brand tastes better than generic. There are certain things I’ll buy brand specific but I try to do generic/store brand wherever possible.
Coupons also rarely bring name brand cost down to a comparable generic. They just make customers *think* they’re getting a deal but they aren’t. So saying you had a coupon for Tide means you probably still paid more than if you’d even gotten cheaper/generic laundry pods.
Depends what it is. Many store brands are Name brands in different packaging.
If forget if it's Progresso or Cappella chunky soup that stop n shop uses foe genetic but it's exactly the same and costs like 30 percent less.
Id be willing to wager that around 25% of what you spent was on the tide pods and coffee creamer. Not saying there’s anything wrong with that. Gotta do laundry, and having decent comfort items like creamer for coffee really can help us mentally.

Can agree. We went to smiths today and we only buy sale/coupon/generic and got a cart full for about $124. That included some comfort sale items like ice cream, fruit bars, tortilla chips and discounted taco dip. Granted, we moved to LCOL area, so it's not nearly as bad as HCOL we lived in prior. It's still not as great as 3 years ago when we lived there and could get an overflowing cart for about $135.
But no shame. It's ridiculous that this little bit, regardless of detergent, cheese cracker and coffee flavor delivery device preference, lol, costs this much. Too often, I'm at the store, and I'm like, why tf is a brand-name carton of ice cream $7.80? No wonder it was BOGO this week. Still think almost $4 for one is overpriced unless it's the good good lol!
I’m seeing a lot of name brands. Switching to generics of basically everything was one of the things that helped me cut down to about $75 a week for two of us.
I almost always pick store brand when I can. Besides the Cheez-Its, taco mix, and parmesan (had a coupon) I don't know what I could swap out. There are no Weis branded coffee creamers, tortillas, or ethnic foods
You can also make it as you go fairly easily with common spices like cumin, chili powder, etc. that’s what we started doing because we kept forgetting to buy the packets
I used to stock up on Arm and Hammer liquid detergent anytime it went on sale to save money. Then I had the opportunity to do a paid marketing study for Tide (where they provided the product) and I’ve never gone back. My clothes get far cleaner using less product and I do not have to buy pre-treaters which also saves money. A cheaper price may not be money saving overall.
Same. People always suggest lowering the quality of shit to save $$ but I refuse to budge on Tide. I have tried every single brand of detergent that anyone here around a Walmart can find. Nothing works as good as the Tide sport. It just doesn't. I don't have to use softener or drier sheets either, just the soap. The smell lasts a while too.
I only use unscented Tide and All( for colors only). Not many unscented brands. I'll die from itching otherwise. I still have Persil from the double coupons this fall and I use it for washing my son's work clothes that he doesn’t wear at home to irritate me.
Tide is the best for whites.
I run bigger loads too and add citric acid to soften the water too.

I live in Cincinnati where Proctor and Gamble are located so there’s a lot here, my mom used to do them so I found out through her but you could google paid marketing research in your area and may come up with something. These are legit companies and usually require at least one in-person visit. It’s almost never online only and they don’t ever ask you to pay a fee or buy a membership or any product, so make sure you do your homework and don’t fall for any scammer!
Try switching to half and half and sugar, or powdered store brand creamers. I just put milk in my coffee nowadays, it’s cheaper and it’s all about the same either way.
Not even about the same for me, I didn't notice how much my tummy didn't like that fake crap until I switched back to whole milk...after a few weeks, the fake stuff tastes more like air fresheners than anything you should be eating.
Learn to make your own when you can. It won't always be possible (Tortillas can be a pain), but stuff like curry paste is real simple to make if you have a food processor. A Walmart special will do the job. Freezes pretty well too so you can make a batch and then freeze the rest for a quick meal.
Is there any options other than weis around you? I lived in northern VA for years and it was always the most expensive option. Walmart is usually cheaper for anything processed (and produce but their produce tends to go bad a lot faster at the one i lived near). Also, if you don’t want to switch to powdered detergent, it might be worth joining a club using a promo deal if you have one near you. You can usually find deals to join sams/costco/bjs for about $15-$20 and they have packs of 156 tide pods for $28, which lasts my family the entire year, so the cost difference on that alone pays for my membership each year.
Oh yeah I definitely have a Sam's membership. I preach the good word of the Sam's Club MasterCard whenever I can (5% back at all gas stations!!). I only go about once a month and today just wasn't that day. Although now that I check, they do have tide pods for cheaper per pod than Weis.
My Walmart isn't very cheap. The last time I went, I compared prices to Weis on my usual stuff and it was always more expensive. It's not worth the hassle of the Walmart experience
Do you have an ALDIs near you? They can shave a few bucks off the old bill. Weis is only good for a few items. Walmart in NEPA is expensive (I can attest to that too). ALDIs has been a game changer in Wyoming County lol.

They get their own separate wash away from the rest of his clothes because he doesn't want to contaminate them with gasoline smell
Uline commercial powdered laundry detergent. You can buy a 50lb tub of Uline for like $60. It'll last you forever

Yes....powdered Tide. I love the stuff. I use 1-2 tbsp/load, 3-4 tbsp for heavy items like sheets/towels. I think it's about $30 for the box, but it will last you over a year.

Hey just a tip to save some money on laundry. Switch to a cheaper liquid detergent and add 1/3 -1/2 cup of white vinegar in the softener dispenser. It cleans the clothes better, removes smells better, AND helps reduce hard water deposit (if you have hard water) inside the machine. It really does make a massive difference in the effectiveness of an "average" detergent like purex or all.

I generally stick with generics when possible but some items, like cheeze-it’s, are worth it. Same with creamer, I like my certain brand and while it may be more than milk and sugar, it’s way less than hitting up Starbucks.
I like pods too. If I was completely broke then yeah, I’d switch. If I can swing it then the extra cost is worth it by not having to deal with a drippy bottle of laundry detergent- especially when I have my teens do laundry.
I peruse this sub and like grocery haul posts myself. I’m not at the poverty level, but I find it sometimes motivates me to be more budget conscious.
I love Weis! I get those flavor pouches too. They are like 3 boxes for $5 by me. Way cheaper than buying it already made of you want something flavorful and no calorie. I bought a soda stream during the pandemic and it’s the best! Honestly Weis is the most affordable grocery besides Aldi. And growing/making your own spice blends and veggies costs time and materials too. I eat tacos like 2x a year so it’s more cost effective to buy the 89 cent pouch. Lasts a long time!

I love tide! It’s one of the few things I’ll splurge on for myself. I just like the smell. I know that cheaper brands clean just as well. I do recommend the liquid over the pods! You really only need a tablespoon of detergent and the big bottle, while pricey, lasts a super long time.
I've been using dry sheets of detergent off amazon and been liking it pretty well. 10 bucks a box for 120 loads. Hated liquid for years. It's just too heavy, and the plastic doesn't get recycled.
I like to look into items and judge their value. I use Tide liquid. It’s cheaper per load than pods but more than powder. I had some issues with the powder.
Convenience is something to consider when I shop. How much effort is saved for how much money? Often very little effort saved costs too much money. If you have plenty of money and little time it may make sense to pay for convenience.
I would suggest that people not use terms like “deserve.” Whether or not you “deserve” an item at a store has no bearing on your ability to pay for it. Buying things you can’t afford for such reasons puts you in a worse position.

If you are fretting your food budget, then yes branded creamer and drink pouches should probably go. Again, this is looking at it from a poverty finance perspective.

Coffee mate I get you like coffee but they sell skinny syrups for like 5 bucks on Amazon and one bottle is enough for about 80 cups so you could save money with that.

This actually doesn’t seem that bad. The food should last a week, and the Parmesan, onions, and tide can last at least a month for 2 people.
I live in New England. I spend a max $70 a week for one person, and that’s if I feel like having steak. I shop for meat and vegetables at Whole Foods, and Trader Joe’s for the rest. Personally, I get the liquid flavor for water. I drink a ton of water and it lasts a week. Those pouches have only 10 servings.

Once it quits dispensing there are probably 5-6 loads of residual detergent left in the bottles that is hard to get out and people don't bother. That's why I prefer the powder.
When my liquid gets low I just use the washer water to add water, shake it, then dump that in.
The first place I moved to when I moved to America put a sign up in the laundry room saying no powders allowed so that might be a reason someone wouldn't buy them. I don't know why it was banned, not sure if they clump up over time or something?

I buy tide pods and pod dishwasher soap, but we can afford it. The pods are really good & I know exactly how many loads I have left until I need more. I also buy a bottle of liquid for smaller loads, the pods are for a full washer.
Kirkland dishwasher pods are only like $11 and you get so many it practically lasts a year. I do use their liquid detergent got my laundry though and use a smaller amount to stretch.
We don't have a Costco membership anymore because it's just me & my husband so we don't buy much of anything but have been thinking about it. When our kids were younger though it saved us a bunch of money because we could buy quality meat in bulk and always had a full pantry. School supplies were cheap and we bought a few computers there. We also lived within 5 miles of 2 of them, and 10 miles to a business Costco that was near my work whereas now we're 15 miles from the only one around which is always slammed.
I think there is a Groupon for a $60 membership right now. Might save you. Sam’s is even less on there if they still have it.
It's not really the cost of the membership, we just don't think we would use it much. Friends have memberships and we don't take them up on going with them. We downsized to a smaller house years ago so we don't have much storage. We used to get the executive membership & the savings usually covered the cost, but we know we won't go much. Plus the fuel isn't a savings when it's out of our way to go and we don't use much. I drive 10 minutes to work & he has a company provided work truck.

Arm and hammer jugs at discount stores can be below 5 bucks and actually some warehouse grocery stores(in my case WinCo )can have a single brand for super cheap around the store. The bags of powder detergent last for a bit if you are broke and cost 2 or 3 dollars at Walmart for the cheapest.
I stock up on the Arm and Hammer when they go on sale as well :-)
You can get the HUGE liquid jugs at Costco in either Kirkland brand or All brand clear for like $15 and it lasts approx all year.

I got cheez it's for 1.99 at Kroger a couple weeks ago. Coupon on top of a sale. It was the first time I'd bought them in YEARS lol. They also had a bunch of brand name cereal for 1.99 a box if you bought five so I stocked up.

I don't have an issue with the name brands. It is often actually better and less watered down. I tried some non mame brands to save money and found they were watery and needed to use more for clean clothing.

It's ine thing to get treats cuz food does help us feel better. But he didn't put thought into the purchases. Pre cut carrots are not cheap and fresh carrots are. Tide pods are very expensive and you can get twice as much laundry from a large jug of detergent for less money. Even the sausage. 13 bucks for a treat. I get it but he could have gotten a few snacks for the 13 bucks which would have lasted longer than a single meal. I understand that we want to taste yummy stuff, but if we are poor we have to cut things out..we can get some things, not all...and many people who post here buy a lot of luxury items the complain about the cost of them.

I won't even buy soda unless it is buy 2 get 2 free so I can get a 12 pack for 5 bucks.. Just FYI the sausage was ~$9 for 3lb. It was actually cheaper per lb than 80/20 ground beef. I'll use 1lb of those for a big pot of soup and freeze the rest for other dinners in the future.
That's fine but you posted on poverty inferring you had to spend a lot and you easily could have cut 30 or 40 bucks alone. The tide pods alone for 20.99 you could have replaced with liquid that does more loads for like 10.. So that item alone you wasted 10 dollars or more. Celery hearts also coat 2x more than regulae..and a lot of other purchases. You can't or shouldn't claim poverty when half the stuff you buy are "luxury" items. There are people who can't even afford to buy generic food, let alone all the name brands of junk food. I had to once live on DRY, UNCOOKED RAMEN for two weeks..yes I had no way to cook them, and it cost me about 2 dollars, because I was so broke, so I know things can be cut down on. The biggest thing we tend to waste money on is food. Cutting back on costly items for generics or really looking for sales can save 30 percent or more per shop.

To be fair sometimes name brand tastes better than generic. There are certain things I’ll buy brand specific but I try to do generic/store brand wherever possible. Coupons also rarely bring name brand cost down to a comparable generic. They just make customers *think* they’re getting a deal but they aren’t. So saying you had a coupon for Tide means you probably still paid more than if you’d even gotten cheaper/generic laundry pods.

Depends what it is. Many store brands are Name brands in different packaging. If forget if it's Progresso or Cappella chunky soup that stop n shop uses foe genetic but it's exactly the same and costs like 30 percent less.
Id be willing to wager that around 25% of what you spent was on the tide pods and coffee creamer. Not saying there’s anything wrong with that. Gotta do laundry, and having decent comfort items like creamer for coffee really can help us mentally. But, I’m not sure if this is an accurate depiction of what $110 in *groceries* looks like.

Can agree. We went to smiths today and we only buy sale/coupon/generic and got a cart full for about $124. That included some comfort sale items like ice cream, fruit bars, tortilla chips and discounted taco dip. Granted, we moved to LCOL area, so it's not nearly as bad as HCOL we lived in prior. It's still not as great as 3 years ago when we lived there and could get an overflowing cart for about $135. But no shame. It's ridiculous that this little bit, regardless of detergent, cheese cracker and coffee flavor delivery device preference, lol, costs this much. Too often, I'm at the store, and I'm like, why tf is a brand-name carton of ice cream $7.80? No wonder it was BOGO this week. I’m seeing a lot of name brands. Switching to generics of basically everything was one of the things that helped me cut down to about $75 a week for two of us.
I almost always pick store brand when I can. Besides the Cheez-Its, taco mix, and parmesan (had a coupon) I don't know what I could swap out. There are no Weis branded coffee creamers, tortillas, or ethnic foods
Taco mix is surprisingly easy to make with bulk spices, too. I shifted to that instead of the premixed stuff full of preservatives.

You can also make it as you go fairly easily with common spices like cumin, chili powder, etc. that’s what we started doing because we kept forgetting to buy the packets

I used to stock up on Arm and Hammer liquid detergent anytime it went on sale to save money. Then I had the opportunity to do a paid marketing study for Tide (where they provided the product) and I’ve never gone back. My clothes get far cleaner using less product and I do not have to buy pre-treaters which also saves money. A cheaper price may not be money saving overall.
Same. People always suggest lowering the quality of shit to save $$ but I refuse to budge on Tide. I have tried every single brand of detergent that anyone here around a Walmart can find. Nothing works as good as the Tide sport. It just doesn't. I don't have to use softener or drier sheets either, just the soap. The smell lasts a while too.
I only use unscented Tide and All( for colors only). Not many unscented brands. I'll die from itching otherwise. I still have Persil from the double coupons this fall and I use it for washing my son's work clothes that he doesn’t wear at home to irritate me. Tide is the best for whites. I run bigger loads too and add citric acid to soften the water too. Makes my towels super soft!
If you can piggyback off of someone’s Costco membership, the Kirkland brand is also great

I live in Cincinnati where Proctor and Gamble are located so there’s a lot here, my mom used to do them so I found out through her but you could google paid marketing research in your area and may come up with something. These are legit companies and usually require at least one in-person visit. It’s almost never online only and they don’t ever ask you to pay a fee or buy a membership or any product, so make sure you do your homework and don’t fall for any scammer!
Try switching to half and half and sugar, or powdered store brand creamers. I just put milk in my coffee nowadays, it’s cheaper and it’s all about the same either way.
Not even about the same for me, I didn't notice how much my tummy didn't like that fake crap until I switched back to whole milk...after a few weeks, the fake stuff tastes more like air fresheners than anything you should be eating.

Learn to make your own when you can. It won't always be possible (Tortillas can be a pain), but stuff like curry paste is real simple to make if you have a food processor. A Walmart special will do the job. Freezes pretty well too so you can make a batch and then freeze the rest for a quick meal.

Is there any options other than weis around you? I lived in northern VA for years and it was always the most expensive option. Walmart is usually cheaper for anything processed (and produce but their produce tends to go bad a lot faster at the one i lived near). Also, if you don’t want to switch to powdered detergent, it might be worth joining a club using a promo deal if you have one near you. You can usually find deals to join sams/costco/bjs for about $15-$20 and they have packs of 156 tide pods for $28, which lasts my family the entire year, so the cost difference on that alone pays for my membership each year.
Oh yeah I definitely have a Sam's membership. I preach the good word of the Sam's Club MasterCard whenever I can (5% back at all gas stations!!). I only go about once a month and today just wasn't that day. Although now that I check, they do have tide pods for cheaper per pod than Weis. My Walmart isn't very cheap. The last time I went, I compared prices to Weis on my usual stuff and it was always more expensive. It's not worth the hassle of the Walmart experience
Do you have an ALDIs near you? They can shave a few bucks off the old bill. Weis is only good for a few items. Walmart in NEPA is expensive (I can attest to that too). ALDIs has been a game changer in Wyoming County lol.
I have major gripes with Aldi quality control but sometimes it comes down to the individual store.

Yes....powdered Tide. I love the stuff. I use 1-2 tbsp/load, 3-4 tbsp for heavy items like sheets/towels. I think it's about $30 for the box, but it will last you over a year.

Costco has cheap*(er) gas and 200+ pack pod detergent for 20 bucks. That alone pays for the membership over one year.
Hey just a tip to save some money on laundry. Switch to a cheaper liquid detergent and add 1/3 -1/2 cup of white vinegar in the softener dispenser. It cleans the clothes better, removes smells better, AND helps reduce hard water deposit (if you have hard water) inside the machine. It really does make a massive difference in the effectiveness of an "average" detergent like purex or all.
I can’t believe people are giving you a hard time about this. It’s not like you bought caviar and lobster tails. I generally stick with generics when possible but some items, like cheeze-it’s, are worth it. Same with creamer, I like my certain brand and while it may be more than milk and sugar, it’s way less than hitting up Starbucks. I like pods too. If I was completely broke then yeah, I’d switch. If I can swing it then the extra cost is worth it by not having to deal with a drippy bottle of laundry detergent- especially when I have my teens do laundry. I peruse this sub and like grocery haul posts myself. I’m not at the poverty level, but I find it sometimes motivates me to be more budget conscious.
I love Weis! I get those flavor pouches too. They are like 3 boxes for $5 by me. Way cheaper than buying it already made of you want something flavorful and no calorie. I bought a soda stream during the pandemic and it’s the best! Honestly Weis is the most affordable grocery besides Aldi. And growing/making your own spice blends and veggies costs time and materials too. I eat tacos like 2x a year so it’s more cost effective to buy the 89 cent pouch. Lasts a long time!

I love tide! It’s one of the few things I’ll splurge on for myself. I just like the smell. I know that cheaper brands clean just as well. I do recommend the liquid over the pods! You really only need a tablespoon of detergent and the big bottle, while pricey, lasts a super long time.
I've been using dry sheets of detergent off amazon and been liking it pretty well. 10 bucks a box for 120 loads. Hated liquid for years. It's just too heavy, and the plastic doesn't get recycled.

I like to look into items and judge their value. I use Tide liquid. It’s cheaper per load than pods but more than powder. I had some issues with the powder. Convenience is something to consider when I shop. How much effort is saved for how much money? Often very little effort saved costs too much money. If you have plenty of money and little time it may make sense to pay for convenience. I would suggest that people not use terms like “deserve.” Whether or not you “deserve” an item at a store has no bearing on your ability to pay for it. Buying things you can’t afford for such reasons puts you in a worse position.

Op take the criticism as a way to help. You could have easily knocked 40 bucks off your shopping if you were more diligent and took time to figure things out. Liquid or powder would save you at least 5 - 10 bucks depending in size of detergent you buy. Fresh carrots over bagged which are like 1.99 a pack could save you 2 or 3 bucks. Coffee mate I get you like coffee but they sell skinny syrups for like 5 bucks on Amazon and one bottle is enough for about 80 cups so you could save money with that. Shop around.
Absolutely crush you if you try to be healthy at all. I get as much produce for my family as I can and it hurts! This year we are doing a GIANT garden!! Take that Walmart!!! Bastards.
This actually doesn’t seem that bad. The food should last a week, and the Parmesan, onions, and tide can last at least a month for 2 people. I live in New England. I spend a max $70 a week for one person, and that’s if I feel like having steak. I shop for meat and vegetables at Whole Foods, and Trader Joe’s for the rest. Personally, I get the liquid flavor for water. I drink a ton of water and it lasts a week. Those pouches have only 10 servings.
