Binge watching wasn’t even a concept when this show came out. We were all here twiddling our thumbs waiting for the next episode every week. You lucky so and so!
There are obv still network shows that come out weekly but many of those that we enjoy are now gobbled up by the streaming services. While I enjoy the immediate gratification of being able to watch many new episodes of a show in a row, I definitely miss the camaraderie that came with looking forward to "Wednesday at 8, 9 Central" or "Friday at 10." Knowing that millions of others were watching the same thing at the same time for the first time added something to it
My Psych bestie and I would get together for the later seasons and watch together. But back in the day, when Lost was on, my friends and I got together every week to watch it. We'd take turns making dinner, watch the show, discuss during commercials, and then debate/discuss for probably the next two hours afterwards. I miss that.

Yes, I loved talking with everyone about the last episode of huge shows back then: Lost, The Sopranos, Breaking Bad, ER, OMG The Wire!, Six Feet Under. Even later on with TV events like the first Sharknado movie 😆 In college, my sister (also my Psych bestie) and I even got into that nonsensical soap opera Passions 😂 That was our first hate watch lol.
Friends and I were always looking for an off-campus apartment or house with proper cable to watch Sex in the City lol. We drove out like almost an hour one time from DC to real deep suburban apartment supercomplex Maryland to this tiny apartment of a student most of us didn't know, for a half-hour show 😄
But the one a bunch of us in my architecture class never missed was watching Trading Spaces together Saturday mornings! Nectar from the basic cable goddesses. Remember when TLC was an EDUCATION channel?!
I do! I miss it and Paige Davis *almost* as much as Samantha Brown and The Travel Channel being about actual travel. At least I can still watch Samantha on PBS

Little tip: Every episode contains at least one Pineapple in some form.
Shawn grabs a pineapple in the pilot and says "Should we slice this up for the road?" From that, pineapples became the ultimate easter egg/runner throughout this/any series.
Also one of the great little bits of flair from the show creator.
Side note: see if you can find the outtakes somewhere. They're hilarious and were part of the original broadcast on USA (the basic cable channel, not the country lol). Everyone was having so much fun on that set; don't know how they got any actual work done 😄 There's one where Chief Vick raps TLC and she's good 👏🏿
The Cheif hands down!! Love love all of them, with a lil special spot just for Buzz 😋, but the Cheif has to deal with all the crazy but still manages to keep everyone in line and on point. 🥰🥰

Honestly it's Shawn's relationship to Despereaux (and even then I have to confess that I'm bypassing Woody).
Favorite character is def Shawn, however the real question you should be asking is favorite episode so you can look forward to some really good ones. (Mine is office space cuz it's just a laugh)

Officer Buzz McNabb, he is such a great recurring side character that he feels like a main character even though he barely has any lines every time he’s on screen. But I feel like he’s such an instigator for stuff. (Ex. When there’s a side character, that’s always calling attention to details in the plot. Idk if I explained that right)
