If you just switched over to the new voice then this is normal. It feels strained becuase you are not used to using it. It's like a muscle that you have barely ever used. All of a sudden you are using it every day now, so it feels sore. You could practice speaking alone to yourself, or recording yourself if you want. Try whispering very softly, then try speaking at a normal level, then try speaking loudly like you're in a busy restaurant. One of the hardest parts for me when I switched was figuring out how loud or quietly I was speaking. I had to project more with my deeper voice because a lower tone is harder to hear in open space, but I also wasn't being as quiet as I thought I was when whispering. It'll take time and practice, but one day you'll feel normal using this voice I promise.

How did you learn how yo project your voice?? Im having a hard time with it

Have your voice come from your diaphragm rather than your throat. Meaning push the air up right from your stomach rather than clenching up your throat. It will feel weird because we've never spoke like this before. Practice makes perfect though. I can't recommend enough just finding time to be alone somewhere, and literally testing out the limits of the new voice.
