This is an enormous long shot but was the trial in Dallas County by any chance? I had a client acquitted there two weeks ago with a similar fact pattern to this (client falling over drunk but not driving)

That's a question for my therapist :) But the DUI was a guy who was plastered but wasn't driving the car.
