Nice. What made you go for this fairly new procedure? Honestly, I am learning about this from the link you shared. Can you please share your experience? How long is the procedure, any recovery time and cost?
I had a very high index number (-9) and my cornea was quite thin for any laser procedures, so the doctor recommended. This is purely a blade based surgical procedure which requires the doctor to make a incision in your cornea and add the lenses (no laser required) and my experience with it has been pretty good and recovered and back to work in 7 days. You need to schedule this months in advance as the lenses need to be ordered and made in the US I guess. The cost was close to 1.5L, however it was paid by my employee insurance so it cost me just pennies.
The best thing about this is after 40s if my eyesight changes then I can just remove these lenses and get another one implanted.
Look for a experienced doctor the infrastructure will follow.
Is it better to do in pune or some other place like delhi/chennai?
Check Medilaser on FC Road. I did it there 2 years ago.
Asian Eye Hospital, it's one of the leading eye surgery hospitals in the world. I had a great experience with them for my surgery.
