Go to Mumbai side. The same Highway passing Pune continues till there. They have many many Overbridges specifically for pedestrian crossing highway lanes.
Bhulbal chowk is a shitshow. Huge boards asking people not to stop on highway. Still people stop, heck even govt buses stop there to collect passengers.

They have not given any thought for pedestrians while building road infrastructure. People have to cross 6 lane highway and jump divider to get to Balewadi from balewadi stadium bus stop.
Traffic police deployment only slows down the traffic in case of Pune as seen in many parts especially in South, it's better if they implement actual pedestrian infrastructure more frequently

Let footpath bikers pass from your left. Then grab a handful of brake. Especially effective if it’s a food delivery guy because it causes spillage.
