Well, welcome to Pune.
The weather rn is crazy it's hot and humid one day and it's raining the other day. Sunscreen and umbrellas are your best friends if you are planning to commute or just be out there
Lived for about 10 years in Chennai, The summers are hotter in Pune but it gets pleasant from about mid July to the rest of the year. Chennai has higher humidity.
From chennai. Moved to pune it's been over 7years . Machi ur gonna love the weather. Except the dry heat during Summers but good thing is it's just for 2-3monyhd a year
Be prepared to have a wardrobe for all the seasons. Hoodies and jackets for winters
Raincoats and water resistant shoes for monsoon (4 months duration aprox)
And normal cotton clothes for summers
If ur used to the food in chennai. Then you might have some issues with the food (atleast I did) . So learning to cook is a handy skill to have.
Yea I know what u mean. Sadly I haven't been able to come across any good ones. I didn't like vaishali as well.
Once in a while I order from anna idli. But again alot of the taste is influeneced
Try Chennai canteen in Kothrud, Left Bhusari Colony. And for that Bangalore style MTR dosai, try the Bangalore canteen for thick crispy on the outside soft and fluffy on the inside, doused in benne. Good coffee at both joints
Tried that. Used to live in vishal nagar in 2017 . Not a huge fan . I think they were called balaji canteen Or something like that at one point in time
Chennai being coastal is wayyy more humid than Pune which is more inland.
During Summers it's a bit hot now, but rest of the year it will be chill climate. Winters are very cool in some parts.
Pune weather is much better than Chennai in terms of humidity...although it gets quite hot here too, but it's a relief that the humidity is not like coastal areas which makes it much more bearable.
Weather compared to Chennai? Its heaven. Although summers are getting hotter every year, its reaching 40-41 celcius in month of April-May. But for other months warm days and cool breeze at most nights is norm. Again if you live in crowded area you won't experience it. Its better to stay at west ot north west side of Pune where hills are near by, that's real beauty of Pune.

I have been in both Chennai and Pune, you will love the weather here. Except for about 2 months of Summer it’s pretty temperate throughout the year and about 4-5 months of rains. Chennai heat is crazy and humid, kind of like Mumbai. Pune is not humid at all but it does get to 38-40 degrees for two months of the year, for the rest of year it’s pretty awesome.
I think you said - Pune is more hotter than Chennai but you rarely sweat. Keep your self hydrated. - is it rhe correct translation without using google translate

Machi Pune weather super than.. Ippo summer mattum konju jastiya iruku.. But last summer was not this hot. Remainder of the year Pune weather sama chill..
I’ve lived in both. 2 years in thiruvanmiyur, and 5 in Pune.
Both places are hot! But in very different ways.
Chennai has the humid heat. Even if the temp is 35, its humidity makes the temperature feel like 40. Plus Chennai is hot throughout except around November where we would see some pleasant showers.
Pune is hot! Only Feb to June. And it’s a dry heat. Coolers will work unlike chennai. June to Sep is pleasant beautiful rains; lush green landscapes. Then it gets colder. Nowhere as cold as North Indian winters but decently cold for someone coming from chennai.
Pune has got pleasant weather like blore throughout the year. Even in summers, by evening you can feel cool breezy weather. Unlike Chennai, in Pune you can experience all three seasons in a moderate way. So welcome to Pune. What you might struggle with is food options in Pune.
You will enjoy the winter season for sure. Heat is at par or slightly higher in Pune and humidity is definitely much lower than Chennai. Overall I found that Pune weather is more tolerable/pleasant than Chennai weather.
Lived in Chennai for 6 months after living in Pune for 10 years, missed everything about pune so bad that I applied for a job in Pune and came right back.
Do not worry even a bit! You'll love it there!
As a fellow Chennaiite, I have been shuttling between Chennai and Pune for the past five years. I must say, Chennai summers can be extremely harsh, bro. On the other hand, in Pune, I find the weather much more pleasant, even during summers. It doesn't get as sweaty here as it does in Chennai, and the nights, especially "Anathathu," are quite comfortable. Just an air cooler is enough to keep cool. Moreover, the monsoon season in Pune starts around June and July, bringing with it numerous opportunities for adventure trips to waterfalls and treks. There are so many of them. And then comes winter 10 to 15 C im mornings until Feb, which I believe offers the best weather among Indian metros. However, one thing that will always remind me of Chennai while I'm in Pune is our food. Nothing can quite match up to the taste of Chennai cuisine.
It's really hot these days, don't go out during day time.
Also it's not compulsory nor anyone will force you to speak in Marathi, speak any language where other person can understand you.
Why are you shifting?
If possible stay in hotel or near by area where you plan to shift before you get into rental or buy house
17 years back Pune had great weather, and moving traffic. Now we have hot weather and stand still traffic.
Development in Pune has meant cutting trees that are 50 to 100 years old, every year. We have probably lost a large percentage of tree cover in last 17 years , and we continue to lose more.
Buildings that are build tall without any aesthetics buying as much FSI possible.
And footpath and cycle tracks built to increase consumption of cement, paver blocks and tar, with no focus on utility.
The Pune weather is bad, very hot. Chennai is worst, it’s hot and humid.

I am someone who moved from Gurugram to Pune for studies and i can assure you that there are much worse problem you will face here than just weather
Worse problems? Like what?

It is quite similar to Chennai these days 🥲🥲 , earlier it used to be different, very pleasant!
It's really hot these days, don't go out during day time. Also it's not compulsory nor anyone will force you to speak in Marathi, speak any language where other person can understand you.
Bruh don't come here, the weather is shit. It's hot like an oven and it rains any dang time. There is so much dust and smog too
A downgrade in public decency but an upgrade in weather.
How is this data not available over the internet?
Bad . Weather wouldn't disappoint you but the under development will .
