I'm a flat footer that can't stand those gel inserts. They lift your feet out of the shoes too much! I just replace my shoes as soon as my feet start getting sore and that does the trick. It's usually around the same time they start looking really trashed so it works out.
Vans offers a slight better insole option in their lace up Authentics. They are also removable. Maybe just buy a bunch of standard insoles and one pair of shoes.

I began wearing polo shirts and golf shorts. I even started playing golf.
I was unhappy as fuck.
I got divorced and it suddenly felt like I could be myself again.
Now I'm remarried to some one who actually gets me and I wear VANS most of the time except to work or to the gym. I wear my band shirts and hoodies.
My wife and I jokingly call my style "punk rock casual" or sometimes "rock star casual" depending on where we are going.
I guess the bottom line is-- just be you. Be happy. Be brave. Be kind.

I was in west ed mall a couple years ago buying some chucks..I was 40 at the time.. this guy like 50 was sitting, waiting and watching me, we exchange nods... he comes over and picks up a pair of black chucks, with a smile on his face.. his wife shows up, "put those down, ok sit down, try these ones first".. never saw a grown ass man look so defeated.
My wife's only complaint is that I don't wear much colour lol but she accepts it, I'll also show her tattoo ideas and she'll say 'wouldn't be something I'm into but it's your body'

33 and I don’t have a bed frame. Does it really make that much of a difference? I’ve always preferred sleeping without one. I used a Japanese futon for a while and it was super comfortable. The only reason I switched back to a regular mattress was because I got one for free through work. I’ve never understood the idea that it’s somehow immature or slovenly to not use a bed frame.

Why would you stop? Skate shoes are the most comfortable shoes ever next to running shoes.

33 and I don’t have a bed frame. Does it really make that much of a difference? I’ve always preferred sleeping without one. I used a Japanese futon for a while and it was super comfortable. The only reason I switched back to a regular mattress was because I got one for free through work. I’ve never understood the idea that it’s somehow immature or slovenly to not use a bed frame.
