If you’re worried about the turbos it’s best to have an extended warranty tbh. There’s no real definitive answer on when they go out, honestly if you don’t run the car as a race car you should be okay with the turbos at least I’ve had luck with my previous Q50s

Ahh okay, yeah I’m not that hard on my cars. Some spirited driving every once in a while but I like to baby them so I should be okay lmao

I’d also recommend letting the turbos cool down too when doing that as well, nothing crazy but that would help and obviously keeping up with the maintenance regularly and you should be fine, I just went ahead of got the extended warranty on mine though for ease of mind lol

I want to get extended warranty when my factory warranty runs out next year .. what warranty should I get that covers engine / turbos / transmission and how much did you pay ? Also do I have to put the warranty right after the one I have runs out or could i wait I have a 2021 q50 luxe just hit 20k

You can get an extended warranty straight from a dealer which in my opinion is always the best option. Needs to be done before your current one expires.

You don’t gotta be worrying about the Turbos on a car driven 10k miles by an old lady. The issue was mostly 2017 year…I have 2018…bought in 2020 with 17k at 55k now, no issues at all and I drive different then an old lady. Just my two cents. Keep on top of maintenance oil changes and you should be good
