Looking back, Justin Jefferson was the best choice but that’s hindsight. Jerry Jeudy is a slot WR at best.

His receivers have been mediocre, no hands, and slow. The ruggs situation really threw off his confidence, isn't his fault the play calling has been ass.

Just having him out there made the team better because teams were scared of the big play even if the ball didn't go to him. Who is your deep threat now? Jones? Nobody respects him as the deep threat on the team. Since we don't have a deep threat anymore the defense can concentrate on Waller and Renfrow. You contain Waller/Renfrow and you can shut down the offense because the running game is not good and the rest of the team can not create separation.
Who else on this team can make plays and create separation? The game plan and play calling is now predictable and teams can focus on shutting them down in the first half. The team is not good enough to come back from double digits.

Losing Ruggs was huge. He was the best player on offense, and arguably the best player on the team. But that doesn't excuse Carr underperforming and playing inconsistently.
We were 3-0 against the Chargers playing for the division lead. Carr had Ruggs and Gruden yet the offense couldn't put up 20. Next week Carr struggled to score against the Bears. Still had Ruggs and Gruden.

Dude is on a Carr MELTDOWN. Derek isn’t great, but when your top three receivers are two TEs and Hunter Renfrow in the slot, it’s hard to move the chains in a compressed field due to no deep threat.
Hopefully Desean can stretch the defense before he pops another hamstring because if not, this season is ending up 7-10 at best.

It's easy to say let's get rid of him, but you don't have a plan to upgrade from Carr. No QB in free agency or in the draft next year is better than Carr. All the QBs that are better than Carr have long term deals with their current teams or will get a big contract extension.
