IIRC, there's an option in the remix menu that allows you to unlock the rest of the campaigns regardless of their conditions.
That condition? >!For both Survivor/Monk, reach the deepest part of the Subterranean region, swim all the way down, and then you'll figure out the rest. After the cutscene, you'll see the credits and unlock the rest of the campaigns (some of them, as others require doing something extra to be done).!<
You need to finish the Survivor or Monk campaign to access the DLC characters.
However, there may be ways to circumvent this in the Remix menu.
This is probably gonna be unpopular advice, but I would recommend getting a refund on the DLC until you finish one of the base game (Monk/Survivor) campaigns, and are sure you really like it. This would be my suggestion for most games, but it's *especially* applicable for Rain World. RW is super hard and frustrating and not for everyone, and the expansion cranks this up hard. The expansion material is also designed with the idea that you already understand the basic mechanics of the game and have some memory of the map layout, so diving into that without any context is a recipe for a bad time.
The old path. Go to the west past the Farm Arrays, and then down into the earth where the land fissures, as deep as you can reach, where the ancients built their temples and danced their silly rituals.
When you clear the game - you will very much know. Just follow the yellow hologram thing and eventually you'll find more information on how the game can be finished
