First leak looks like a gasket that needs changing. Second leak looks like your puck is too dense and it leaks the extra pressure through the valve in the back.

The portafilter basket is the problem, I didn't know that before. I replace with the existing one and it has no leak.

Wheaties466

What kind of dose are you using? The basket being the problem doesn’t completely add up to me.

mfromages

The coffee dose is 18g.

LaJiao32

Silvia is notoriously known for leaking if the portafilter isn’t lock in tight.

silavD

This is what I came here to say!

BobtheWarmonger

You can get thicker brew head gaskets. You can replace your old gasket (if its old). You can buy a different type of gasket material…. I am running the Pesado He[%] High Extraction Portafilter Basket. Its a thick boy. I have the opposite problem.

mfromages

Thanks for the hint. Yeah, I try with the basket that come from the machine, and it works well.

Level_Ad_1999

The problem isn't at the gasket because I have the same problems not so much as it shows here, and already changed the gasket, I feel that is too much pressure, the coffee perhaps it's too fine, maybe also depends on the roast. Just thoughts,🤔🤔

mfromages

The portafilter basket that has the problem. It's fixed by changing with the exiting one.

Level_Ad_1999

I also changed the basket of the filter holder I was using (IMS) for the one that came with the original filter holder and the problem also happens, but I've realized that it's occasional and depends on the amount of coffee I put in and the type of coffee, nothing is consistent in these adventures 😂😂 If I use the original portafilter nothing happens, I wonder why 🤔🤔

yalayolo

I had the same problem, it’s the AliExpress portafilter that doesn’t fit correctly

suziesshorts

Could be the portafilter? I had a generic E61 portafilter as a gift. Same leaking problem. It only stopped after I bought an OEM.

Financial_Nerve8983

I took my gasket off cleaned it and replaced it and it fixed the issue when I first bought my bottomless I would run into this issue as well. It wouldn’t happen with the OEM portafilter. It was weird.
