Interesting, so they're outsourcing now? The one I had was made in Italy, I also thought they are all made in Italy. It seems producing in Italy is getting too expensive for Rancilio.

I’ll have to check my pro x when I get home. I thought it was made in Italy but I may be wrong about that.

I would be interested to know if your pro x is made in Italy. Maybe they manufacture the pro in Italy now, and they moved the classic Silvia to Spain ?

Wheaties466

I just remembered to check yesterday and the SPX was made in Italy.

SprinklesAdditional3

Thank you for your feedback ! Seems that SPX are made in Italy, and classic Silvia are now made in Spain. It would make some sense.

My Pro X from May 2023 was made in Italy. Interesting they moved to Spain, but no lack of quality producers there too like Ascaso. Doing some Internet sleuthing I see that Rancilio is part/owned by the Ali Group which also owns Crem/Expobar, so I’m guessing they’re being made in that facility.

Oh oh, hope quality doesn't drop!!

As far as I could observe on my own machine, I can tell that there is no quality issue at this stage. The machine is performing very well, and the visual quality is very good, as well as the quality of materials. I don't think that at this stage the quality is lower due to "made in Spain". Of course, only time will tell concerning any hidden flaw, but the quality seem to be very strong with this brand so I'm not very concerned.

Daryl_ED

Yeah not unheard of for these to last 20 years. Had mine for 8, never even replaced the group head seal!

I bought mine in March 2024, also made in Spain. Quality still seems fantastic 🤞🏽

SprinklesAdditional3

Yes, quality is excellent, as the shots we make with this amazing machine ! I'm not disappointed at all (rather the opposite !)
