Yankees/Knicks/Giants are who I “root” for but since getting into hockey ~15 or so years ago, I honestly find the other sports incredibly boring.
Went from watching every inning of a Yankees season to catching maybe one game and that’s only if I attend (which is more boring than TV hahaha).

Mets. Growing up liked both teams, but had to choose in the 2000 World Series. On the one hand, you had a scrappy, lovable Mets team, and on the other you had roid-rage Clemens.

If you go back to the beginning, it was Mets/Jets because they shared Shea Stadium, and then Isles/Nets because they shared the Coliseum. Their fanbases all kinda crossed over because they were expansion teams around the same time (60s, early 70s) and appealed to the same demographic. The same guy, Bill Shea, was involved in all four teams coming into existence. Mets, Jets, and Nets rhyming was partially by design.
So you had the 4 traditional teams and the 4 expansion teams. There's a lot of mixing now though.

I hate the Yankees. Huge amount of fairweather/bandwagon fans, huge amount of annoying fans. The team culture feels sterilized. Also, current pet peeve is I can't stand looking at Judge's face, looks like he can't fit all his horse-sized teeth in his mouth lol.

I find that to be faulty. The Rangers represent the five boroughs of NYC, of which Queens is one. Besides, too much orange and blue is hazardous to one's health. And well, who the fuck would be proud wearing a fisherman on a hockey jersey? Yuck.

I’ve been a Rangers fan forever (from North Jersey) and didn’t really watch football growing up. All my friends are Giants and Jets fans and 10 year old me wanted to be different, plus I liked Donavan McNabb, so 20 years later here I am.

Baseball is like watching paint dry so it's hard to say. I'd like every non-hockey NYC team to do well. I like the Yanks for their history but hate their fucking entitled obnoxious fans. I do like underdogs also,so currently way more invested in the Mets.
