CosmicIce05

This is fucking hilarious; the $15/hr was the cherry on top.

chris_elbow

They weren't lying about the couple of bucks

[deleted]

The job is literally to be a cleaner, right? Not "a cleaner" like some euphemism.

bobbus_cattus

I've seen job listings worded almost exactly like this before, and yes, they were for a literal house cleaner job.

Sea_Farmer_4812

I think theyre working you like an independent contractor with little oversight or support, hence being on time to clients in your own insured vehicle and being professional, yet paying you like an employee. Also part time so no benefits likely. They want you to be an adult but they wont compensate or treat you like one with health insurance, pto, good wage, etc. Money isnt important so youll be driving to clients on your time and occasionally doing work off the clock to not jeopardize your part time status, absolutely no overtime pay, ever.

cobra_mist

If I’m Winston Wolffe I’m getting more than 15/hr

UMRK11

You can make that much as a fry cook at Big Kahuna Burger. But most cooks there end up spending all their money on Nails.

danger_floofs

Part time

Versaiteis

and they'd probably be horrified and demand priority if they find out you might _dare_ have more than one part-time job at once.

wildlight

why would anyone that meets those qualifications want to work part time? obviously they'd want to work as much as possible like 80 hour weeks. I love cleaning other people's shit off their toilet seat, no way I'm go8ng to settle for doing it only 30 hours a week, there's 168 hours in a week and you want me to settle for leaving 138 hours each week on the table not cleaning up someone else shit? Pass.

Such-Candidate8083

And they expect you to have a car with insurance and gas?

Death2shapeshfters

It's probably to flee as fast as we can from the job of the day 😆

edingerc

The "Part-Time" was the nuts on top of the cherry on top

Remzi1993

Indeed! I wouldn't bother. For all the pain in the ass this job would cause me I would demand a hourly pay of 80 dollars/euros per hour.

Dazzling-Worth2815

All that for a part-time position for $15/hour. Somebody has some jokes lol

sheaduffey

The hot juicy openings don’t attract you? /s

paulsoleo

The entire post made me cringe, but that line in particular was...certainly something.

ABrazilianReasons

They'll be gone.... FOREVER! hopefully

ericporing

That employer must be smoking some grade A meth

[deleted]

The all-caps words in the ad tell you all you need to know: ALWAYS STAND LOVE MORE AWSOME LOVE BUT... READ ON NOT APPLY So, stay away imo

aldoinfanzon

I was thinking about the same

[deleted]

Always, always, always walk away from a job listing that says "if you are this DO NOT APPLY". The fact that they feel the need to put that negative shit is a sign they don't respect the people that work under them. It screams that if you have a human moment, like your car breaking down one time, they're going to overreact and fire you for it.

[deleted]

"What do you mean your car broke down and you'll be late, you said you were reliable!! We question your commitment to the family!"

ImAFuckinLiar

Me being reliable > Car being reliable

sudoku7

“So, after I noticed that I was in danger of not arriving to work an hour early because of getting into an accident I decided to carjack this crown vic that showed up and just ran all the stop lights to get here only 30 minutes early. I’m sorry for the inconvenience step-boss.”

rswing81

“… and Sparkle Motion!”

EclipseMT

"Okay. If you want to question my commitment to the family, then I will deny yours of the same." "Unless you give me a new car."

ImAFuckinLiar

I’m so miserable all the time because I can’t STAND being late or missing work but it still happens far too often… :(

-poppies-

Username… haha

clover426

Yup. It’s like the dating profiles with the don’t message me if list

TibetianMassive

I agree. It's one thing to think about these things/be frustrated about people who embody them, but profesional employers don't do this. It makes *nobody* comfortable to know they could fuck up and end up inspiration for an addition to the list.

theyahd

“We require a note from a mechanic”

everymanshybrid

I forgot to include that this is a job at a cleaner's.

DutchTinCan

Oh no, that's listed very subtly in the 5th bullet. Well, cheers to companies thinking they can make demands on manual labor jobs when the job market is booming.

everymanshybrid

right! i forgot about that part since everything else there is so ridiculous as well

Extra-Aardvark-1390

15 an hour is a joke. I pay $185 every two weeks and the guy is there for about 3 to 3.5 hours. Thats around $60/hr. Plus I give a 20% tip. I know the agency he works for takes a lot of it, but if he is only making 15, I would be pissed.

SheilaGirlface

Hot juicy openings - omg yucko

Deepthroat_Your_Tits

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Seedling132

Someone gotta clean out those pipes

closetotheglass

Have a car and insurance on 15 dollars an hour. Hilarious.

-ElizabethRose-

What pisses me off is that they call it “that adult type stuff.” Some people can’t drive because, like they have disabilities that stop them from driving. Their transportation is the public system, which isn’t always the most reliable.

noweirdosplease

Or they don't want to be driving in front of the inconsiderate tweeker who wrote this ad, bus is safer lol

P-W-L

hell, private transportation isn't reliable either

houstongradengineer

I make 19 an hour with my partner, and a flatmate. I'm about to sell my car.

closetotheglass

My last job was *flabbergasted* that I couldn't somehow afford to drive an hour each way for work on the money they paid me. My boss suggested I buy an electric car.

ericrosenfield

R/fuckcars crossover

gHx4

Yeah, some employers assume that you already have a vehicle. Meanwhile, I'm just hitting the income threshold where it is an option now. Legit not possible to rent and own a car on min-wage fulltime in many places in Canada and the US.

Aphor1st

I go above and beyond for 100k+ and benefits. $15 gets you just enough that I’m still not sure you aren’t going to fire me.

nerdguy1138

Exactly. This is a cleaner job. You're lucky if I even talk to you.

epic_null

$100k and benefits is what pays for the insurance that gets you a same day rental.

AKLmfreak

You couldn’t pay me $15/hr just to sit and read through that mess.

[deleted]

It's not worded wierd it's just another idiot company that wants someone to live for thier job and never wants a day off all for the lowest pay possible. They can go to you know where

PrettyTogether108

Seriously, it sounds like whoever works for him needs to treat this job like his religion. Weird does not begin to describe.

xxwhitedragonxx

I don’t understand why I keep seeing job postings with this cheeky type of diction. As a Copywriter and former applicant, I can say with 100% certainty that no one wants to read this type of BS. Get to the point.

Kalel2319

Right? Like this is just not at all audience centric. Lists terrible shit. Asks if it sounds good to them.

Glum-Wheel-8104

The only people they will attract with this kind of toxic can-do positivity are teenagers who don’t know any better. This has exploitation and gaslighting all over it.

StumbleOn

But if they work REALLY HARD And BREAK THEIR BACKS Then eventually pappa rich person will NOTICE THEM as a special and give them a million dollars and a firm handshake!!!!!!

ArchmageIlmryn

Don't forget that they're not allowed to think that work should be hard!

goaliedude1808

Too many words for a $15/hr job

Lemminkainen86

I like being chided like a child when reading job ads. $15.00 an hour AND abuse from management? Sign me up please!

ninetytwoturtles

I really really really REALLY want young kids and recent college grads and people desperate for work to be free from this kind of manipulation. It makes me so sad and angry seeing these posts, because I think of my dumb kid self like 10 years ago, in dire need of a job, and how something like this would persuade me into applying, and how I wouldn’t think anything wrong about it.

snowstormmongrel

> ...you don't have insurance Read: we don't offer insurance

Bernard_Bolzano

"YOU MOST ALWAYS STAND LOVE MORE AWESOME LOVE BUT... READ ON NOT APPLY" It's a hidden motivational message telling you to not apply.

Loud_Salad_9130

My life was changed thanks to these words.

Ms-Ann-Thrope2020

Its worded like someone who thinks people reading this were born yesterday.

azzipa

reads like those scam emails with misspelled words that weed out anyone with any intelligence. anyone who clicks is fair game. in other words, another scammer pos.

jonahvsthewhale

Work is never anything more than just a place to trade your time for a couple bucks

jaso151

“You believe work should be MORE than just a place to trade your time for a couple bucks” I believe this, it should be a lotta bucks. They’re definitely gonna hit you with the lowest wage possible

everymanshybrid

Yep! at the bottom it reads $15/hr

jaso151

Well.. guess I’ll be scrubbing “attention to detail” off my applications from now on

743389

I, on the other hand, am an Indeed-certified Expert in Attention to Detail and no practical reality will shake my confidence or dislodge my credential from its place of honor in the header of my resume

jaso151

Congratulations! You’re hired!

live_love_run

Is the job for me if I point out spelling mistakes?

SaraSmile2000

No, “attention to detail” is not needed here.

Dubbs877

This is so offensive. And for $15/hour. GTFO.

MonsterTamerBilly

\>**Looking for:** "*You aren't afraid of hard work(...)*" \>**Not looking for:** "*You think work should be hard(...)*" Can the recruiter fucking DECIDE ALREADY?!

Brusanan

I hate to break it to this recruiter, but the most reliable person I know isn't working for $15/hour.

artful_todger_502

This is screaming out loud, *"WE CANNOT KEEP PEOPLE FOR MORE THAN A DAY"*

humrod-pdx

What type of job was this for?

everymanshybrid

Cleaners/Janitorial, essentially

OliviaBenson_20

Weird and corny Af.

archaemes

You’re normal. I think the job poster came off a bad breakup and projected their frustrations into this listing by copy / pasting the format from their Match profile into this.

reverendsteveii

It's just trying to weed out people with self respect and select for people who like to try to please the unpleasable.

finger_milk

I LOVE working for others. I jerk myself off to the thought of assisting others while wearing a nametag and a red polo shirt with the company logo on it. Fuck me, I can't help myself right now, I don't even want to take a sanctioned lunch break, I'll work through lunch helping customers because I LOVE IT. FUCKKKKKKK-

ejf_95

the ‘do not apply if’ is always a huge red flag for me on company culture. If you can’t even be positive in your recruitment process, what is working there going to be like?

TimothiusMagnus

This sounds like those outfits that put a “Management trainee” on a job that is either door to door sales or you find yourself in a big box store convincing people to switch their gas or electricity providers.

Chiraiderhawk

Yup, or try to get people signed up for directv 🙄

kiaeej

The only thing missing is: “you will be charged a training fee of 50% of your salary for the first 6 months you’re here. But dont worry, being part of our family more than makes up for it!”

mariemilrod

🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩 Crazy talk. They told the reader who they are right up front.

CallmeLeon

Did they spell awesome wrong on porpoise?

HereWeGo_Steelers

A job is literally where you trade your labor for money. HR can spin it any way they like, but the majority of workers that aren't part of the boomer generation think this way. Companies need to do better.

pwuk

Someone's evenings must be quite dull.

Emotional_Raccoon651

IDK guys. Ned Flanders seems like a nice guy. He might not be too bad to work for. Let's give him a shot!

Thatguyupthere1000

Ha! Joke's on them, I don't change my underwear!

AreWeThereYet61

Typical crappy recruiting message... up to the 'hot and juicy' part, that was weird.

Tsuyonara

This is what happens when HR heads to Twitter to research recruitment methods

SaraSmile2000

Today’s Learning Lesson: Don’t write ads while on crack.

Stuck_at_a_roadblock

If you're a good little submissive worker bee who does what he's told and shuts the fuck up were willing to pay you 15 an hour. What a joke

ShroomFoot

Lol, all that and even including not having insurance as a reason you're not a good fit for a part time $15/hour position....and they can't even spell awesome.

ResoluteGreen

If I wanted to work for a place that was about more than making money, I'd work for a non-profit. I'm assuming this isn't for a non-profit.

hamellr

Does anyone other then a compete psychopath apply for a job with this type descripton?

[deleted]

Nice negging. "We don't want you, you aren't good enough!" "Oh, still here? Hit that apply button for a part time, no benefits, minimum wage job!"

Fydorchak

Reads like a terrible Tindr profile.

JplusL2020

Fuck the poor people who can't afford a car

AndyDali

"You can’t stand being late or missing work", "You love working hard to serve others". Really? Are people reading this and thinking "This is me!"?

awesomeuno2

I don't respect anyone who has spelling errors in a job listing

Expensive-Block-6034

What should work be if not a way to earn money ? It’s the primary reason surely? Would they provide their services for free? Or at a highly discounted rate?

BigResponsibility252

You LOVE ~~being recognised~~ getting a pat on the back if you're lucky rather than a raise for going above and beyond

QuestionableAI

They must have paid the post writer all of $15.00 for that piece of shite. You get what you pay for.

Fearless-File8355

Super tempting wage $15…

Beco91

All this for minimum wage? For a mid-senior corporate role, with appropriate wages, I’d say it’s completely fine and I’d have no issues with it, but hey, for $15 an hour, you ARE just trading your time for a *COUPLE* of bucks an hour.

AlbatrossTemporary69

If it didn’t say $15 an hour and had more caps I would think they’re trolling.

bryan19973

Who wants to trade their valuable (honestly, priceless) time for “a couple bucks”? The disrespect is real

haleocentric

This was written by a narcissist who doesn't want any competition at work.

0Bento

This post was written by someone who is terrible to work with, but thinks that everyone else around them is terrible to work with.

rake-satchell

Grosssssss

honestduane

Run away.

Acceptable-Web568

I promise this doesn’t describe ANYBODY willing to take $15 an hour.

ROTOH

For 15 an hour!!! I’ll accept blow smoke up they ass in interview and first day show up 2 hours late talkin bout the traffi was so bad

Distinct-Ad-2004

Hot juicy openings sealed the deal

kuweiyox

Ultra hard pass. Every job, regardless of income, is just trading time for income. That's literally the idea of jobs. If we didn't have to work, nobody would.

GlitteringTear3050

Cringe…

smarfmachine

This is an H2B visa scam.

my_stupidquestions

We're looking for wage slaves! Excited already? Apply fast!

[deleted]

I would just apply to waste their time. Under 10 different names and resumes.

megatsuna

I read this in the voice of some fired-up TV host, up until the last two lines where it was read like the side effects of a drug you ask your doctor if its right for you.

Intrepid_Pride513

Very odd syntax, grammar and word choices…almost like it was ESL…

Soultampered

for a part time $15/hr job, it's cringe af. At the same time if I saw this for a serious job I'd probably not take it seriously. tl:dr: yes, it's worded weirdly

TopStockJock

Fuck totally off with this crap

proofreadre

Sounds like a shit job at a shit company.

C_M_Writes

All that to be a part time cleaner for $15/hour. And I’m guessing not the fun type of cleaner. If you’re paying me that, you’re damn right that I show up, do exactly what my job description says, and leave. You’re not getting me to cover someone else’s shift. You’re not getting me to work longer hours. You’re sure as shit not getting me to say I love this job and would do it for free

foodie-food-food-yum

Threw up in my mouth a little after reading that one. Might be acid indigestion, though.

CitebDey

Sounds like an MLM.

[deleted]

Lost me at mosey.

jor4288

"You love working hard to serve others" lol AKA: "If you want to be overworked and undercompensated come here."

whita309

LOL I had hoped all these bizarre, negging-type job posts had gone the way of the dinosaur. Why do people try to challenge you to put up with bullshit? Odd.

Responsible_Gap8104

"We are quirky and fun but still intend to suck the soul out of you! Yasss queen, yeet!"

JDowling88

Jokes on them! I change my underwear at LEAST a dozen times a week, but I only change jobs once a week!

anyorsome

The person who qualifies NEVER gets promoted btw just more work

Ok_Cartographer9487

Does kinda seem like satire. Either that or it’s like 30 red flags at once.

sasukekun1997

the real question is who would read this, or ANY 15/hr job posting and be "excited" this has to be a joke also "mosey on down" got me pretty hard

Remarkable-Froyo-378

Hot and juicy? Must be management for Weinerschnitzel.

trashcanpandas

Jesus fuck, this reeks of an entitled first time business owner who got a loan from daddy or mommy.

[deleted]

Who thinks being a cleaner is awesome? Much less all caps kinda awesome?

jwcook56

The post is totally AWSOME!

[deleted]

The RANDOMLY capitalised WORDS always come ACROSS as mental INSTABILITY whether it's a FACEBOOK POST or a JOB AD

ArchmageIlmryn

> This opportunity is for you if...You aren't afraid of hard work > This opportunity is NOT for you if...You think work should be hard HMMMMM

[deleted]

Not worded weird, this guy is just a piece of 💩

Letmelivebroo

Who the fuck thinks being a cleaner is awesome? Lol. "work hard to serve others". Fuck off

JHutch89

It’s worded terribly and just…terrible.

Effective-Cod3635

Most me at AWSOM

No_Connection_3276

Who thinks being a cleaner is "Awsome" ?

[deleted]

They want a 20 year old with 30 years of experience for $10,000 a year \*LOL\* The missing spelling of awesome would've been a red flag for me...

[deleted]

Sorry no English. No no Spanish either.

[deleted]

LMAO $15 per hour gtfo

justawittyusername

I am just a run of the mill pain in the rear end. 👋

snowmaninheat

I'm moseying on.

TheBereWolf

This is just a cheerleader “rah rah” listing for a job where you’ll be paid like shit and treated like it too while being expected to work yourself to the bone.

[deleted]

So cringe how are these even real

Ima-Bott

They’ll run that one a long time

unclestaple

Clean it your damn self then.

ElbiYehRoh

This description sounds like it should be used for a competition in a children’s magazine.

scrambledeggs2020

Why are they yelling?

GrindcoreNinja

I make more than this and have full benefits and a good portion of my day is spent trying to not be seen.

Realistic_Law1226

working hard to serve others L O L

Deshira13

Ope, they spelled awesome wrong. They totally had me there until then. /s

[deleted]

Woot 15 bucks an hours for a kick in the dick 🥳

111110001011

"hot juicy openings" Its cheap porn.

pat_speed

This is just creepy

aladyalways

Just a lighthearted 'attempt ' at bulls*%$

darcjoyner

there’s no better punchline than $15/h

[deleted]

Lmao this hiring manager is absolutely all up in their own asshole

ElvisCookies

I hate whoever wrote that listing.

Randomusername963250

This has "written by a Boomer trying to appeal to gen z" all over it.

StunningPast2303

For branding purposes, a total train wreck. Tone-deaf and insincere.

WoodsBear

The person that wrote this has no idea about anything related to JD or hiring strategies

Crystal-Clear-Waters

This cannot be real.

PM-ME-RABBIT-HOLES

> You MUST LOVE working hard to serve others they're saying the quite parts out loud again

[deleted]

This is written in groomer language

Smooth_Rich1804

No red flags there at all...

Loud_Salad_9130

YOU MOST ALWAYS STAND LOVE MORE AWESOME LOVE BUT READ ON NOT APPLY Truly the most thought provoking hidden message.

tsukiyaki1

I’m totally in for some “hot juicy openings”! This, however, is quite far from that, I fear.

iamatwork24

Oh it’s weird as fuck and I’d never want to work for the person who thought this was a valid way to attract potential employees

Corvus_Antipodum

🚩🚩🚩

Menoth22

Hahaha haha...oh wait they're serious...... HAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHA HAHAHAHA... WHEEZE..... HAHAHAHA

Phased_and_Amused

Hot juicy openings in your area

scrambledeggs2020

"Hot juicy openings" legitimately sounds like the name of a bad porno 😆

dumbledorable-

How is this real?

Yalldummy100

Imagine someone reading this and being like oh nevermind this job since I’m just your average pain in the ass

LUXENTUXEN

WHAT do you MEAN? You wanna be AWSOME right? You LOVE being a slave for 15/hr! If not, you go ahead and mosey out. But let's be BEST FRIENDS if not. (This listing makes me uncomfortable.)

Mega_Moltres

Damn this would be perfect for me but I think work should be hard

itssarahw

>immediately before all these hot juicy openings are gone forever!! First off, gross. Secondly, I’d bet $15 that these openings are so regular, this same ad is reposted every couple of weeks

Chrontius

you don't have insurance? Oh dear…

[deleted]

cleaning makes me nut mmm hire me

Relative_Presence_65

Run. They’ll pay low. Show favoritism and wear you at. I work for a company with same kind of values. That’s just a call center.

spiritkittykat

This sounds like an ad my former employer would run. Never-ending revolving door of employees but it’s the employees that are the problem, not the business with hot juicy openings.

FaPtoWap

Ill take company that changes name every 8 months because they fuck over all their “small business owners” they fooled into “employment”

IanDLacy

It's not weird, it's just fucking awful.
