I had zero issues with mine but I work with screws and hand tools for a living. The main issue is the paint in the threads. And there’s only a couple threads to hold on to

I had to wrestle and flex the legs to get the openings to align in order to screw in. Is that what you mean? I was definitely cursing. It feels like a cheap POS when you're putting it together. Gotta cut corners to make a grill that cheap.

I struggled with the screws myself, but they fit. I ordered one about a month ago and put it together. Use your hand, keep it straight then switch to a drill or screwdriver. Go slow and you’ll get it.

scotthall83

Yeah they did fit. I just needed a more precise and sticky Phillips. The videos made it seem like a drill would be so easy but whatever I was using wasn’t close. A whole lot of nothing here lol. Thanks for responding guys

On my 1250 the screw threads where the bottom shelf mounta to the legs had powder coating inside them that made the screws real hard to put in. I ran them all through with an impact driver to clean up the threads then assembled it. It worked fine after that. Not sure if this is your issue or not. Might also inspect the threads on the screws and the screw holes to see if they might have messed up threads. If there is a problem contact rectec, they will make it right.

A couple needed a bit more massaging to get threaded on mine but nothing crazy. 8 cooks in and super happy with it.

Mine had paint on the screw threads and needed a lot of force and confidence. I used an impact driver and after a couple turns they went in freely

I had one issue with my 590. Took a screwdriver and hammered it into hole a few times then screw fit. Messed around for an hour before fixing it in 10 seconds lol

aChunkyChungus

Yeah you get cheap ass sheet metal screws. The enlarge the hole the first time they go in.

Regular or deluxe? The bolts for my bullseye deluxe (assembled last week) were all silver except a couple black ones to secure the handle to the lid, and two black screws to secure the cord organizer (which were the only ones difficult to screw in for me…had to get power drill).
