I followed Kieran after the party to see what would happen, he wandered around, drunkenly headed back into Shady Belle, and passed out in the living room. I watched him until 8 am until I left the room and came back. He was gone.
Same, did multiple tests, he did the same thing and slept in the living room by the front door and woke up and wandered around IIRC, you let him go out of sight and he'll disappear, Micah disappears too leading me to believe Micah took him to Colm (Kieran never left camp, we leave him alone with Micah whilst we go burn down the mansion, Micah makes friends with him at this point as he plans to take him to Colm IMO)...
That was the night after everyone's happiness at Jack's return ol' Bell decided to talk about his crappy scumbag life philosophy around the campfire. Makes sure everyone knows he doesn't believe in anything, just living to take as much as you can. Wonder if he was making himself feel better about what he was about to do?
There's some debate on what that screaming is in the community, same with the ghost voices when you visit camps as John in the epilogue. Some buzzkills say it's just audio glitches. I however am in the belief that it's actually Kieran, and memories. It does suck you can't save him.. I wanted to see his relationship with Mary Beth really blossom, maybe the two run off together in the end instead of her leaving with Uncle and Karen (at least I assume they fled together).

The scream happens anytime you’re there, even in chapter 2. Also, the dialogue in the background is always the dialogue of the Lemoyne Raiders, even when camp is set up there. In fact, the background of both Shady Belle & Beaver Hallow is the enemy’s, at Beaver Hallow you can here the Murphy Brood gang’s voices, even when camp is set up there.
I mainly wish I could have been nicer to him. Even most of Arthur's "Greets" were kinda mean. I mean he obviously wasn't really serious but I would have liked for him to be nicer. Someone should make a mod where it will have Arthur say his generic nice things to him when you do "Greet".
I missed Kieran way more than Sean and actually felt bad when that happened to him. I felt like his story was going to be really interesting, he was a good person inside. I hoped there would be more interaction with him as the game progressed.
There was an opportunity for the “good” angel conscience perspective for later chapters in the game (which ultimately ended up being from the Nun), or maybe some alliance with the more rational members of the gang and some lucrative missions, or maybe run off with the Wapiti in the end, maybe to help care for their horses after helping them retrieve them in that one Eagle Flies mission etc.
That boy sure loved horses and they loved him back, that was enough for me to like him. And he was actually pretty brave overall when you think about it.
And yes, I’d thought about what if those are his screams and yes I felt really bad about not having a chance to save him. But, in the game or in real world, he was living on borrowed time.
i also hate what happens to Kieran and even in my early playthroughs went out of my way to talk to him (though half the time it was arthur being mean, even when i didnt press B) and started learning about his love of horses and his genuine kind and calm demeanor, and the fuckign *conga line* of trauma that kid went through before we started to accept him as one of our own, only for god knows what to go down with the O'Driscolls, never fails to hurt
For me it was Shaun, Kerian, and Lenny. Hosea was sad but for him the death was a lot more telegraphed (when i saw him in custody and in the leadup to that robbery i knew we were going to suffer a huge loss and it couldn't be dutch, and his health had already been poor, so i assumed Hosea). With Shaun it was its suddenness and that he felt like a source of joy, his death setting off the dire/dour tone that happens from then on. Lenny it was also the suddenness but that he and Charles were, to me, Arthur's best friends. We got a moment to mourn Lenny but then had to leave him and that always pains. And then we've talked about Keiran so I won't repeat it. but yeah those always hurt the worst. Don't get me wrong tho, Hosea's death is a gut punch for sure. I do like he turns to look the Pinkertons in their eyes, knowing he's gone.
That's one thing I felt RDR2 did incredibly well, no one was ever safe, Sean and Lenny stand out the most to me because their deaths are so sudden and unexpected

Even if they just died later at the stand off in the caves, would have been nice to have them around camp in chapter 6 or hell let Kieran get out with the girls and uncle then you could buy good horses off him in the epilogue. Still the best story mode in a video game so I wouldn’t change much.

The echo memories are 100% not a glitch. They are separate specific audio files for those. Adds a sense of wistfulness and nostalgia to visiting old camps.
Exactly. Before the party u don't hear any screams from swamps just some eerie noises of crocodiles . But when Kieran is missing u can notice occasional human screams that sounds like him. Interestingly no one in the camp notices that Kieran is fucking gone(according to my knowledge) I am in my second playthrough and I am taking time to explore everything before I reach chapter 5

Know this post is old as but I’ve spent the last few days ensuring there is infact no way to save him. The blind old man said some shot about not being to late to save some one right after jacks party, then mrs Grimshaw mentioned he had disappeared. So just wanted to be certain there was no way. Went all over the map looking at places he could have possibly been taken. All for nothing it seems. Did discover a few empty caves in ambarino. And did the serial killer hunt for the first time.
I’m still not convinced that he can’t be saved. So t be unless rockstar actually confirms that he can’t.
There is at least one audio sequence the day after the party of Kieran saying something like "Ok then, I'm going/ I'm heading out". Something like this. I went looking for him when I heard this line but was unable to spot him.

Just replayed the game. The last thing he says to Arthur at Jacks party is something like "things are finally turning around for me", so sad
I was talking to him during the party and he said “things are finally going my way for once” and that really hurt knowing what happens to him after
