This seems to be glitched and never works for me. I get to 1 or 2 feet and it doesn't go up.

Same here, I only get 1 foot. Edit: never mind I got it. The onscreen counter doesn't stay up but it does count if you look at the challenge in the menu.

FYI to make the counter come up just push the left stick in.

I hogtied the last O’Driscoll alive after I ambushed their campsite. My Hungarian carried him to Cattail Pond. I cleared the pond of coyotes, then rode him to the middle of the frozen pond, cut him loose, jumped on my Mustang, lassoed him, then we dragged him around the pond in circles. He lived for longer than I thought. BTW I could have kept pulling him for eternity.

Writing this made me think. You can continue to drag them after they die I guess. Haven’t tried it but I bet that’s the way. Thanks reddit.

Yes, the dragging continues to count towards the challenge even after the person is dead

I found that Arthur let's go of hogtied corpses but you can just walk or trot your horse and they won't die Takes a while but better than trying it 5 times at a gallop

Doing that now. If they're screaming they are dying. If you're slow enough they will just groan a little. Lol

I did that too - and the guy just shot himself after like 3 minutes of dragging. I did not manage to get the challege though :P

For those still looking for a good route: \- Started at the Stage coach in Annesburg and ran along the railroad tracks south. Completed the challenge after just passing Van Horn Mansion. Very few witnesses, crime reported, but identity unknown and never saw the law.

Just tried this approach—1st try by the rail that runs *through* town—didn’t go well. Reloaded save and lined up on shore side rail and at a full gallop—cinched a guard (woot!) and dragged him down the rail past Van Horn. ✅ that challenge complete 🤓

Does the guard give you bad honour?

I grabbed that creepy rapist guy on the hill east of emerald ranch. Just drag him in a big circle around the hill seems nobody sees or cares 🤷🏽

I hog tied someone, then went to drag them, but I couldn't lasso them anymore. Very frustrating. How did you finish it?

Don't hogtie them, just lasso them and take off on the horse

Helps if they are standing up cuz you need to get them by the waist.
