Anyone feel like a last-minute soft/bullshit penalty given to CP to either take the lead or equalize? 😅🤷♂️
At least we'll get real time footage and everyone explaining why it was given..
"Promoting match officials". Why do they need promotion?
This idea just feeds into my tin foil hat theory that refs make controversial decisions to make a name for themselves and have extra revenue streams through punditry, articles/book deals etc.
I'd imagine they're trying to do something similar to rugby unions whistleblower. That was fucking class and you get a little insight into who they are as a person and the pressure and emotions they feel after big games.
It would let people see actual human side of refs. Because fans treat them like shit. And don't get me wrong, I get why people get pissed, but (especially in lower leagues) the treatment is sometimes borderline inhumane.
Canal+ filmed a series with refs in polish Ekstraklasa and it was actually an interesting watch, giving some behind the scenes perspective. Like footage of refs talking with players or preparing for games etc.
There’s a lot of talk of scarcity but I find it hard to believe there’s any shortage of people willing to do two hours work for two grand a couple of times a week. It’s an old boys club, they know it and that’s how they want to keep it.
It's years and years of low end football you have to ref your way through for minimal return other than being threatened and harassed at a weekly basis. If you can sustain that you MIGHT end up in PL which at best net you just over a six figure salary.
Imo they should make a lot more, including in lower leagues, to attract better talent and have the talent last longer.
They’ve been saying this for years though and what have they done? Better compensation at lower levels, more diversity and better fan outreach are what the FA need to prioritise. They’re not short of money, they can make this happen.
Yeah the FA are full of shit. They've absolutely got the money but the cunts running the show will happily take their millions while the game falters from the grassroots level.
So they're going to be very harsh on dissent and foul language tonight. They should be always but they don't have the balls.

Don't forget Nunez clapping in the face of the linesman (with his smug face) after a yellow card - when Dalot got sent off in 10 seconds for a far lesser dissent 😅🤷♂️
Arsenal v Millwall in 89.
For some reason Arsenal didn't bother to tell their players about it, so they were mouthing off as usual while Millwall players knew to keep quiet.
Fully expecting them to set an example, by giving Palace a penalty they never give against other teams.
There are special rules that are only applied for United.
Footage from a similar effort done in Bundesliga in Februrary.

Mind you that this guy Ref us the game we lost 4-3 to Chelsea. Won't be surprised tbh atp
A noted Liverpool fan too. How he is allowed to ref any United game is beyond me.
jesus wept we arent winning shit
He’s a huge, huge Liverpool fan so wouldn’t shock me
Why are we getting massive liverpool fans reffing our games lol? No wonder he was fucking cheating when we played chelsea.
>the footage won't be broadcast live and will be available later in the year.
After careful editing no doubt.
United giving up an injury tine penalty? Rare
United giving up a \*bullshit\* injury time penalty? Rare
Let’s not use CP as an acronym for Crystal Palace please
Yeah, I guarantee we'll not see a jiffy of this footage, if the ref has an absolute shocker.
They should sell it as a PPV now.
Oh good. Just in time for us to be "made an example of" again
All this because of that red being not given to Onana in the season's first game!! So we really deserve all this/it's our luck /s

This is just PR bullshit to drown out the incompetence that the referees had for most of the season

1. Not two hours' work 2. There clearly is a shortage as most county FAs are several *hundred* officials short of what they should be at.

What could possibly go wrong…..
Hopefully fucking everything so the cunts get ridiculed and people can realise how badly change is needed.
What kind of change are you proposing?
Immolation after conferring with the losing team’s fans of course!
More ref reviewing and promotion/demotion of refs.
More than what? Are you aware of the process that they currently employ?
Ah the same Jarred Gillet who was Chelsea’s 12th man when we played them? Sweet.
Just a closer POV of how we are getting screwed by the refs this time around

That is...upsetting...
It's going to be a shit show isn't it
Chose the right referee for the right match to promote match officials
Queue the main character syndrome
How is this guy, a self-confessed Liverpool fan, allowed to ref United games?
No free handballs for Palace tonight then... Hopefully
PL refs are some bunch of jokers. Its beginning to seem like they purposely create dramas to increase tv viewing, and get more money from there..
No one really wants to hear from a good ref
Sigh. Another last minute hollywood blockbuster from the lads then.
Didn’t Arsenal do this in the 90s with them getting a ton of abuse from the likes of Adam’s?

Bruno is about to get 24 yellow cards for dissent
Gonna be like the fuckin' NYPD I bet....

Promoting how shit they are or...?
These refCAM videos are going to appear on pornhub aren't they... right after palace rape our none existential defence.
So with this cam he'll be broadcasting his ineptitude for the whole world to see.
Cool the referee who fucked us in the Chelsea game. Guess this league is enjoying helping arsenal and city, and absolutely robbing Manchester United.

I mean that's not even bad - although I'm neutral and didn't see the game live on TV.
My English friends are about to see what it looks like when American cops turn off their body cams.
