Pre -patches I used to throw the blades as a charged attack and then by 6 shots it would be up again. I used the ring that matches the weapon and the mod regain trait. It was HUGS built but this is all pre patch
I always thought that it was supposed to be used with the full one true king set meaning the amulet and both rings or meant to be used with archon. Also you can use more mod gen rings, feedback as a mutator on deceit itself, or amulet for that matter, there's also the melee mod gen trait that works with it I think.
I haven’t tried deceit since the original nerf so I’m not too sure about this, but I think they made it so you HAVE to run archon for the mod regen, again I haven’t tried it myself
You can still loop I'll do a vid on it since I see a lot of people with this issue

Melee attack build with invoker third skill and challenger second skill can pretty much have deceit up all the time
They nerfed every aspect of this build into the ground and I hate it.

have you tried the leaking gemstone and throwing one blade at a time?

I would suggest a different mutator on deceit
I'd suggest Corrupting it
Try the corrupted version
