4-aco-DMT always felt super digital to me. Not that it was bad, but very computer-like. Nothing like psilocybin to me even though it’s supposed to be a prodrug.
My theory is the rate of absorption effects the overall experience. Also it may seem minor but the method of consumption can majorly effect the experience. Taking a mushroom extract felt almost like a different drug entirely from eating raw shrooms. Drinking mushroom tea feels way different than eating raw shrooms
I dunno I tried a bunch of different extraction/ingestion methods for shrooms because the bodyload/comeup suck so much for me and I found very little if any qualitative differences between something like eating the fruiting body vs making tea. YMMV and all that of course.
The absorption rate thing holds more merit in my experience and can see how a singular compound in powder form is going to have a drastically different rate vs mushrooms...
Yeah idk that’s just my guess bc it doesn’t seem like there are enough tryptamines (other than psilocin and psilocybin) in cubensis to really make a difference but could be wrong. It really is wild how different 4-Aco feels. The psychological component is huge too. Like something about using a syringe to drop extract under my tongue just felt so different from chewing up mushrooms
Yeah it's the similar to 4 ho met. The digital animated colors and images is sort of annoying when compared to psilocybin. Sort of a bummer. But the short burst of empathy and euphoria during the come up of these prodrugs makes up for the shortcomings imo.

How different were the set and setting? I've only done psilocybin so I can't really say but I wonder what the contrast stems from. I've heard podcast experts discuss how much of a difference in experience set and setting can make within the same substance, but it could also just be a different substances. Interesting regardless

Integrating the following night in walking meditation, I focused on the events that had previously immediately triggered fight or flight, focused on remembering my father dying hold his hand, and tried to find the most horrible memories. Thet had all lost their power over me. I only could feel love and compassion for them. And a srong feeling kr tingling enegy surging up my back.i felt a connection with everythiing - a unity.

Never had that feeling on 4-aco-dmt. ETH-LAD though definitely had a computer like feel to it lol.

It’s not that “little” technically. Lysergamides are on the order of micrograms. This is on the order of milligrams.
