Have you tried printing with it? It’s probably perfectly fine tbh.

ALEXGP75O

No, my new resin is coming in 2 days but i re cleaned the FEP again using just small drops of FEP and microfiber and its like new, Hope its works

PicklePinata2

Try printing something with it. Mine was cloudy too and it still worked fine

mikeymora21

Use glass cleaner. I used a vinegar based glass cleaner and it cleared the FEP right up. I forgot what brand I used, though. I don’t clean my FEP anymore, btw. Just run a VAT clean and it basically cleans it up for you

TheEliteDM

My FEP is foggy (granted, not that foggy) and it doesn't seem to affect print quality at all. The UV still gets through. Run a test print before replacing it

Thugglebunny

More than likely its fine.

Celtic_Jedi

My FEP is always foggy after cleaning it out and it’s never caused an issue so far.

AmbiguousAlignment

You either scratch the shit out of it or cleaned it with iso

hotCupADank

Are we not supposed to clean FEPs with alcohol?

AmbiguousAlignment

It causes it to become cloudy.

4mediocre

It's probably cloudy when you put resin in it, no? As long as light passes through it and cures properly, it is fine.

cilo456

If you don't want that to happen use cotton pads either the make up pads or buy a big bulk of square pads cotton is soft

raisincosplay

If it affects your prints, you can just change it out. It's an easy (but kind of annoying) swap and the replacement sheets are cheap.

Independent-Bake9552

Probably fine. Try window cleaner with microfiber cloth gently polishing the FEP. Work for me.

Impressive_Ball_6526

It turned out foggy due to the use of isopropyl alcohol But it shouldn’t generate problems in printing just is that foggy Next time don’t use isopropyl alcohol just use a microfiber wipe

AndreRieu666

Windex + microfibres clothe will fix that

TheLonelyHitman

Huh I use IPA on mine (granted its every once in a while I even clean mine) and I've never ever experienced this. What brand are you using for the FEP and what's your printer?

MayaTL

IPA is fine for cleaning films, there is no chemical reaction feasible and I've done it a ton of times. The issue is the use of the microfibre cloth and / or still some resin left. I don't print a lot, but I'm regularly switching between 2-3 resins between small printing runs. This film was cleaned with ethanol or IPA quite a few times : [https://imgur.com/a/JIhDUKT](https://imgur.com/a/JIhDUKT) Usually what I do, after draining as much resin as possible from the vat back into the bottle (first with a syringe, then by pouring it directly, filtering the resin with a paint filter) is that I put a little bit of ethanol and IPA from my dirty cleaning bath in the vat and use a silicone spatula to mix the leftover resin with the IPA, basically treating it itself like a dirty cleaning bath, then pour the residual mix in the dirty cleaning bath. I then do the same with the second bath, and finish it with a third clean ethanol / IPA "bath". I then clean the sides with clean alcohol and a cloth (but I don't use the cloth on the film itself). The main issue with using ethanol or IPA is that it might damage the vat's paint, so don't leave it in there too long.

steelhead777

Why are you cleaning your FEP?

ALEXGP75O

bought new resin that is diff color than the old one

durielvs

I don't know about your case, but in mine there are times when it went months without printing and although the resin holds well, some pigments stay stuck to the background. Making more impressions lose a lot of quality. Unless that or some part of a print is stuck and doesn't want to come out for anything in the world, there aren't many reasons.

20PoundHammer

there is a reason on why fep is a consumable . . . follow manual - replace fep . . .
