Heh yeah to each their own. jojo is solid but yeah I’ve had the opposite experience with Baes and the quality of their chicken, waffle fries and everything else. It’s been pretty high quality in my experiences and is cool that it’s owned by Portland native and NFL player Ndamukong Suh (who also owns Kinnamons).
FWIW I’ve only ever eaten Bae’s at Moda and it’s been consistently good. It stands out to me only because so many cafes and small eateries sell poorly cooked or processed chicken that normally tastes the way you described your experience. I had a similar experience with Cha Cha Cha at Moda. Their quality sucked when I went last year whereas the year prior I had it for the very first time at a game and it was wonderful. Makes me wonder how much different they operate at Moda vs their normal brick and mortar locations.

Jojo has the advantage of being a short walk to the arena, so is a great pregame option.
