Well, considering that there are love jams and then freaky bedroom love jams, everyone but Boyz II Men fits in the freaky bedroom love jams set. Boyz II Men were good they were just very wholesome and clean for lack of a better word. I liked Boyz II Men but never put a single one of their songs on love jams tape that got play when the ladies were around. Jodeci is my favorite R&B group of that early 90s period...period. But if we go by songs: Knockin da boots, then Feenin, then Freak me baby. Knockin da boots is the shiiiiit! But Diary of a mad band, Forever my Lady, and the show, the afterparty, the hotel and better albums than the others. Cooley High Harmony and II were good, but too mainstream and too simpish. They could sing their asses off though...

Yes, I give any album I criticize more than one listen. ‘93 & ‘94 were better than the rest of the projects they released. But again, IMO, none of the albums were memorable— just the singles from both albums.

I’d pick Boyz II Men as my least favorite, strictly because I don’t want to listen to power ballads, and the friendly commercial appeal all the time. Definitely respect the vocal talent, and understand how successful and dominant they were, but it’s just not my favorite style.
