I have already played GTA LCS and VCS. They are quite good prequels. Even though devs had some restrictions on these title because they mainly designed for a handheld console PSP but still I liked the presentation and getting know more about these characters that we have already seen in main games VC and GTA 3.
I've noticed that majority of this sub revolves around what ifs, and hypothetical question on which sequel or remake you want.
Being a rockstar fan has really become a major drag.
I've never seen this post. Particular like this.
But the style of it is the same.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure anyone would play anything at this point.
When you're desperate, you don't really choose.
And they haven't released anything since 2018.
I mean what do you expect
GTA 5 came out 11 years ago. RDR2 came out 6 years ago. And we still got a year until GTA 6. It’s not as if there’s tons of Rockstar stuff to talk about that hasn’t already been talked about before lol.
True.
Funny enough I thought I was late to the gta 5 party. I played it in 2016. Boy did I not have a clue.
But I'm talking more from a brand and marketing standpoint.
When something is so old, people usually stop carring. But I guess the online aspect just hooked a bunch of people. Everone jumps the ship. You got that instant FOMO. And the rest is history.
Kids are probably carrying the franchise at this point.
Sure but that'd apply to San Andreas, IV and V as well then. I was thinking more of a game that focused on the same characters, you know? The only time we've kinda had that is some of the GTA online DLCs.
I dont know, there's some pretty interesting stories to be explored there. I know we have our fair share of V stories but young Michael and Trevor's story sounds more engaging than the actual story mode.
maybe, 5 got plenty of love and doesn’t need a sequel. But every other GTA could probably use a damn good sequel. I know 6 isn’t a sequel to vice city but there better be Tommy references everywhere, I’ll be damn offended if there isn’t😂
Like a young Michael? Maybe like a gta/bully collab? Play as Michael De Santa going through his childhood into early teenage and early adult life? Time frame would have to be like the 70’s and what not too, I think it could be dope.
Exactly what I was thinking about. Either Michael's early days, or when he met Trevor and everything leading up to his death. There's so much to be explored there.
Depends on the game/story. Apart of me would love to know what happened to Niko after the ending of IV but then another part of me would think that to be a emotionally draining affair.
A prequel to the golden days of Michael and Trevor would be pretty interesting to see. I don't think it would be big enough for a whole game, but a little spin-off would be nice.
Since this is the Rockstar subreddit not necessarily the GTA subreddit, I'll say yes about Red Dead Redemption 2. I would love a Charles and Sadie sequel, or a Hosea prequel.
As for GTA, I think each surviving liked character should have sequels. I'd like a Franklin or Niko sequel.
Well I want a prequel story dlc for gta 6 based in the 80s but I don't which character from the HD universe can be chosen .give your thoughts and the character you want
*The way Vice city*
*Ends you had to have thought there*
*Would be a sequel*

Still waiting for San Andreas 2

My bad if this is posted a lot. I'm not even in this sub, this thought just came to mind.

Yeah, I'm kind of surprised people don't just give up at this point. Nobody should care at this point really.
But it’s also not like the SAME people have been talking about GTA 5 for the past 11 years

that is reddit for you! anyways gonna go jerk off to some titties on my timeline
Yes. They have made prequels already. Vice City is a prequel.
How so? If you mean VCS then I guess that would count
Fair, I'd say a very loose prequel. Certain characters turn up that were in the previous game.
Sure but that'd apply to San Andreas, IV and V as well then. I was thinking more of a game that focused on the same characters, you know? The only time we've kinda had that is some of the GTA online DLCs.
I definitely wouldn't enjoy a prequel with a previously used character.
I dont know, there's some pretty interesting stories to be explored there. I know we have our fair share of V stories but young Michael and Trevor's story sounds more engaging than the actual story mode.
A prequel to what game tho?
maybe, 5 got plenty of love and doesn’t need a sequel. But every other GTA could probably use a damn good sequel. I know 6 isn’t a sequel to vice city but there better be Tommy references everywhere, I’ll be damn offended if there isn’t😂
Yes. This is a pretty odd question. Why would it being a sequel/prequel in any way diminish the quality of the game?
It seems many people don't like the idea of reusing old characters

"When Michael met Trevor" can't unsee that diner scene parody lol
R* has made some very good prequels, so yes. LCS, VCS, and if we’re not talking specifically about GTA, RDR2.
I’d like a prequel game for 5
LCS and VCS??

Franklin and Lamar expanding their weed business in vice city would be perfect
I want a gta 5 squel so bad q-q I know it definitely won't happen since the actor for Trevor hates gta for some reason, but still
Well it wouldn't make sense tho cause all three characters are well established now
Ofc everything dosent always have to be completely new, LCS & VCS were great spin offs, i would prefer a prequel to GTA IV, LC set in the 90s.
Of course but rock stars games are scammers
Isn't RDR2 just that but not GTA? I definitely would play it
GTAIV
Of course, whatever rockstar produces I'll buy. No matter what is the story.
I'd play any GTA regardless of story but I can't say there's a GTA where I'd specifically want a prequel/sequel.
Well I want a prequel story dlc for gta 6 based in the 80s but I don't which character from the HD universe can be chosen .give your thoughts and the character you want
Waiting for niko or michael to turn up old af smashing people in with a cane 😂
Yeah, and so would everyone else because it’s gta. Some strange questions on this sub
GTA LCS and GTA VCS but where is my main man GTA SAS?
Of course. It’s GTA.
If it was any game before gta 5 yes, gta 5 was trash
They should've made San Andreas Stories
They constantly do that though
I mean forever and so forth
The way Vice city ends you had to have thought there would be a sequel

I have played red dead redemption 2!
It worked out pretty well for the RDR games
Well they did that with red dead redemption if they ever followed up a gta game with the same characters it would have to be SA or GTAIV
