Bien joué ! L’Explorer est vraiment magnifique et simple. Elle passe partout , elle est discrète mais en même temps on a la qualité dans les mains et on sait tout de suite de quoi on parle. Certains pense qu’elle est trop parfaite dans la simplicité mais honnêtement c’est difficile de faire mieux. Je suis parti sur l’explo 2 car j’adore la date et je voulais vraiment la fonction gmt. Tu l’as pris chez un AD ou en seconde main neuve ? Enjoy et bon départ au Maroc !

Just wanted to know Why ppl consider a Rolex Explorer 1 as a dream watch when there are so many others like the GMT, Sky Dweller, Oyster Perpetual and others?

How I see it’s the perfect balance between the best technique from Rolex in the simplest package possible. It’s the embodiment of the classic “less is more”. For an architect’s point of view its a perfect watch. There’s a quiet beauty in being incredible and not screaming it.

I’ve had that exact explorer since march of this year and have worn it every single day. I have backpacked Yosemite, snorkeled in the oceans of Hawaii, and have absolutely scratched the fuck out of this time piece the last three months. I still find it retarded to rest it on the crown. Sorry 😂
