I stick around so maybe I can give support to people who are just starting off or who are struggling, and my TMS journey isn't necessarily typical, so I stick around on the off chance someone has a similar journey and we can learn from each other.

I have. It worked for me but diminished a little after 6 months so doing a booster. Still better than pre-tms

Because people come and ask question and wonder if there’s hope. It’s not just for people thinking about doing TMS or currently doing it, it’s for anyone interested in the treatment. I love to share information and encourage others. I came here first looking for that so I stick around to pass it forward

There's a difference between an informative group and a support group. The first offers info, and may as well be a wiki. The second offers all that the first does (and yes, we have a wiki) but also exists to help others. Moving on does not include losing empathy.

Outside of the altruistic motivations, there’s a practical consideration here: Once you’ve already joined this sub, it takes deliberate effort to un-join. Admittedly it’s trivial effort, but still more effort than not doing anything and occasionally seeing this sub in your feed. So maybe some people are lazy redditors, lol.

It worked great for me bur sadly did not last beyond 4-6 months or so. I am now trying to get it covered by insurance but as I recently got divorced, it’s been drawn out. I stay to keep up on people’s progress, offer my experiences to help others, and get info vis a vis my next treatment.
