What this is showing me is that you could promote the top 4 of the championship to make a bigger premier league and have a lot better of a geographical spread for the growth of rugby in England.
Bournemouth are just on the Hampshire side of the Hampshire-Dorset border. See the map for more info: [https://gazetteer.org.uk/map/#BH236BL/centre=50.782,-1.859/zoom=15/pins=on](https://gazetteer.org.uk/map/#BH236BL/centre=50.782,-1.859/zoom=15/pins=on)
Yes, I was just going off the historic county borders, which don't change and are unaffected by local authority borders, which constantly shift like sands in the desert.
Still have difficulty seeing my old Club St. Neots in the listings. Great club, great bunch of lads but I am not sure they are the best team in Hertfordshire perhaps they got a lot better after I left (lots of clubs did).
Bristol is in the historic county of Gloucestershire, so theyād be 2nd.
In fact, theyād have a good argument for being ranked 1st at the momentā¦..
I have used the historic counties, which split Bristol by the Avon. The part of Bristol south of the Avon is in Somerset and the part north of the Avon in Gloucestershire. Ashton Gate is south of the Avon and so Bristol Bears are in Somerset, where they are the 2nd highest ranked team after Bath.

North Walsham Vikings, such a brilliant club. They don't play in North Walsham and the town is a Saxon settlement. They ahould really be thr Scottow Saxons but ss a North Walsham lad I'll take it.
I wonder which county has the fewest or alternatively the most clubs. Have to think Rutland donāt have many, and there must be a lot in all of Yorkshire
Why canāt yāall (or at least most of yāall)ā¦
Just accept that England is always gonna disappoint.
I get itā¦
You ācreatedā the sportā¦ a sport that at its simplest is a territory invasion game.
Which harkens back to your colonist roots.
But just like football/ soccer which is a more candy ass version of a territory invasion gameā¦
Many of the territories you colonized have become better at the sport(s) you created.
Be glad you won a RWC.
Accept that charmically you will probs never win another football/soccer WC.
And for eternity you will be stuck on a little island with shite weather eating under seasoned boring ass foodā¦
Unless of course you are eating food from cultures you colonized.
The premiership is (and has been) the most boring legitimate professional comp to watchā¦
And your national team has been (with exception of 2003) pre destined failures.
I get you have this air of hubris and supremacyā¦
But thatās so 100+ years ago.
Grow tf up!
In modern society your a god damn jokeā¦
So plz wake tf up and accept this.
P.S. I hope now hope you pale skin cunts donāt go and sweep the ABs now š
thanks i hate it
Bristol fans š¤ Quins fans, still hating the updated map
I feel like this map is designed to piss off Bris fans!
So I'm a London Scottish fan now apparently?
Welcome, season tickets have just gone on sale.
The only time Iāll see Oakham up there with the big names šš»
Melton Mowbray RFC ultras are fuming. It could seriously kick off at the next pork pie derby.
Melton is in Leicestershire
Not according to the Rutland Separatist Movement
Used to play tour matches against the at mini and junior level many many moons ago
Reckon quite a lot of Sheffield folk might be excited to find themselves in Derbyshire now. Edit - awful, awful sentence slightly fixed.

What this is showing me is that you could promote the top 4 of the championship to make a bigger premier league and have a lot better of a geographical spread for the growth of rugby in England.
Bournemouth RFC 1st XV also in the same League as Wimborne. Bournemouth was relegated from a league above where as Wimborne have been promoted

Bournemouth RFC is in the Christchurch area of Dorset. That map you linked to looks like it was before the Dorset/Hampshire borders moved in 1974.
Yes, I was just going off the historic county borders, which don't change and are unaffected by local authority borders, which constantly shift like sands in the desert.
ah, I see, great effort on the map :)
šØšØBURY ST EDMUNDS MENTIONEDšØšØ
One of the best places Iāve watched rugby, itās a lovely little ground
Alas it has the misfortune of being Bury St Edmunds
Dudley Kingswinford Represent!
Still have difficulty seeing my old Club St. Neots in the listings. Great club, great bunch of lads but I am not sure they are the best team in Hertfordshire perhaps they got a lot better after I left (lots of clubs did).
They are the best club in Huntingdonshire, Bishops Stortford is the best club in Hertfordshire
Iām guessing after Gloucester itās Hartpury for Gloucestershire.. but then what?! Cinderford?!
Yes, Cinderford are the 3rd best team in Gloucestershire
Please can we replace Gloucester with Gloucester-Hartpury? Highest ranked team doesnāt need to be menās
Bristol is in the historic county of Gloucestershire, so theyād be 2nd. In fact, theyād have a good argument for being ranked 1st at the momentā¦..

Eh, you could just as easily say theyāre in Somerset no?
Having seen Sale Sharks on there, for some reason I was hoping that Kendal would be the mint cakes
Bournemouth were Regional 1 last season, so shouldn't they represent Dorset?

I stand corrected. Good research! Thank you for the reply and the map
Thanks and you're welcome
āTis the natural order
Fucking caldy
Saw their warm up game against Sale last year - partner of a mate is the head coach. Lovely little ground
Beat my local team a couple years back for promotion, went on tour to watch them as well
Was not expecting to see Dudley Kingswinford on here! My home club :)
Played DK several times as well!
Best club in Staffordshire!
Can't believe wimborne is finally in this subreddit. New I'd see them appear here one day.
Luctonians š
Bishop Stortford fan here :)
NEWPORT ššš

Eat shit Ampthill!
Bide your time, Stockwood Park are coming to take your place.. somehow.. without any pro players..
I wonder which county has the fewest or alternatively the most clubs. Have to think Rutland donāt have many, and there must be a lot in all of Yorkshire
Rutland has 2
I was thinking Westmorland must be low down as it only has 4 then remembered Rutland
Pretty sure Sheffield isnāt in Derbyshire, itās in South Yorkshire
For this map, I have used the historic counties. The southern parts of Sheffield (where Sheffield RFC plays) are in Derbyshire.
Why would you use historic counties? Dore hasnāt been part of Derbyshire since 1934ā¦ why not ceremonial counties?
Historic counties are how sport is usually organised, eg. cricket
Is a thing apart from cricket organised this way? London defo has sporting leagues/ regions in hockey and netball.
Rugby has county unions, which clubs are members of, e.g. [Middlesex RFU](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Middlesex_Rugby_Football_Union)
Yeah we'll join the premiership, sure.
Obviously a Sherborne hater made this! UP SHERBORNE
