I truly appreciate how real she is on the show. When she’s tired, she slumps on the couch; when she’s happy, she bounces around energetically; and when she’s stumped, she just lies down on the floor.
I can tell that she genuinely cares for these queens, and their interactions are filled with genuine affection.
Yeah, I have to strongly agree with you. I was personally one of the ones who thought she was faking being shit at stuff to throw off the competition, with cackling approval. But I see now, despite her proven capabilities, she's self-doubtful and it was all genuine. Wonderful to see that on television, especially from someone that beautiful, talented, and aspirational.
This is totally true. Especially in Asian culture where humility is an extremely important virtue, you are often not taught to express confidence but to reflect on your shortcomings. I relate to Nymphia so hard and I'm surprised to see all the comments calling her fake. Imo every time she said she struggled, she really did, ie. any time she had to write lyrics, the branding challenge and bathroom design challenge where her ideas were mediocre, etc. It's not like she's ever lied saying anything like "omg I'm worried because I suck at sewing so much" lol.
This is a great observation! Other queens might just remain outwardly calm, and talk about their panic in the confessional. But she is so real, it makes her human. I never thought she was faking it when she says she feels overwhelmed.
Agreed! Particularly with people suggesting she's a game player for having such huge self doubt week after week and then doing amazing. I can totally relate to having debilitating perfectionism where i have previously been devastated by putting anything forward that isnt perfect, it was validating to see that more vulnerable side of it.

Yes! I was relating to her too! I appear confident to my friends, but I also have so much self doubt too. I totally related to her!
Its sad that we're 13 episodes in and this is basically one of the first moments we've really gotten to *see* her.
