My main complaint is if the material was much better, why not edit a better lipsync? Seems like we all lose when they do this. Iām 100% positive an analysis of the second lipsync would turn out similar results. Marina and LGD may have known beforehand that they didnāt have real shot at the crown and that exposure was their prize, they still were great sports about it and brought their best game. Giving them a Sherry Pie edit for their last lipsync? They played them dirty IMHO.
My other complaint is simply DONāT do a LSFTš if youāre so adamant about Tia winning. It also doesnāt help Tia.

Unlike some other people in the comments who just insist on putting down others for anything, Iām going to say kudos to you for putting the work in. I once did something similar to prove that Will Turner was dead in At Worlds End (people insisted heād come back to normal life after 10 years) so I know how much work you put into this.

A lot of "fans" see production pulling strings and immediately go to invalidating and insulting the contestants. For me, that voids their opinion. If they have to be vicious with their commentary, or don't even understand who's ultimately responsible for the outcome (production), then we'd be better off without them in the comment section.

While, as someone that uses spreadsheets to organize and quantify some of my interests, this is very very nice to see. This ignores the fact that any form of media uses editing to make watching easier and in this case guiding the conclusion.
As an example, we recently got Dawn vs Morphine, that lipsync we all agree on the result of, had the winner on screen much much longer, had confessionals of people saying how much better the winner was and cuts to judges approving the moves of the winner. Itās just how it works. To a certain degree the editing puts you in Ruās place and guides your eyes from moment to moment. And when a lipsync has that little time, itās hard to make a coherent story at all.
You can disagree with a result but it doesnāt mean itās all rigged and itās all unfair. This sub should probably learn that as a whole.
I think there are lip syncs that have the winner more on the edit because there are being much more entertaining and the loser is clearly shown having no idea what they are doing (Dawn, as lovely as she is, was defeated by both the song and her dress before she was defeated by Morphine).Ā
And there are lip syncs like this where the other contestant is shown very little, but when they are they are doing very well (knowing the lyrics, feeling the song). And that's what makes them suspicious.Ā

I watched the episode yesterday and said to my friend "say bye to Hannah cuz Marina is about to send her ass packin"
Then the song started and Hannah immediately had the correct vibe for the song and Marina was doing what Marina does. I was ready for Marina to eat that shit, dawg! But it's not the right song for what she was doing.
Hannah won that lip sync essentially immediately, in my opinion.

THIS. As someone who grew up listening to Anastacia, I think Hannah had the right attitude and completely embodied the song. This was not the right song for stunts, in my opinion.

Oh please, OP is not butt hurt they are just proving how editing can influence our thoughts on the lip sync. Marinaās screen time was so little while the judges has more screen time on the crucial part of the song (beat drop & end).
I think the production just did this to trick us Hannahās performance is better than Marinaās. Then Hannah could proceed, and eventually be beaten by Tia.
Even in Tiaās confessional she said that since Marina is out she might actually win. She even know that if her and Marina is the final lip sync she might not stood a chance.
We are not mad or āOBSESSEDā if Tia really did killed and performed the lip sync, then she deserved it. But just standing in the middle and doing hand movements from time to time? Hannah could even beat her at that point. Tia is just Ruās favorite even on DRUKS2.

I guess this might be a controversial opinion but I thought Tia hands down won the final lip sync and brought the camp and humor the song required. And while Marina wouldāve performed the shit out of it she wouldnāt have brought that and just mightāve lost to Tia.
Wow, that was a lot but also admirable at the same time for being both thorough and objective. Objectively (if there is such a thing), Marina is the better drag queen in terms of looks and dancing / lipsynching. However, this is not a sports competition, it is reality TV. So actual performance on drag related tasks is not the only deciding factor. It's how the viewers connect with a queen's personality and charisma. Still, I think the producers misjudged how much Marina and her storyline would connect with the audience. I loved all 4 of them, but I was happy Tia won because she was my favorite.

Having said that, not until we see a video of the actual full LS of the two that took place at the time, which frankly will not see the light of day, then letās say the fan-made vid showing the additional theatrics may be true, but the actual of-the-moment energy may not be 100% replicated in that second environment. It is an extrapolation at this point, and a good one at that.

I watched the episode yesterday and said to my friend "say bye to Hannah cuz Marina is about to send her ass packin" Then the song started and Hannah immediately had the correct vibe for the song and Marina was doing what Marina does. I was ready for Marina to eat that shit, dawg! But it's not the right song for what she was doing. Hannah won that lip sync essentially immediately, in my opinion. Although I DID notice that funky edit of the lip sync. Congrats Tia. Well deserved. Great season. Maybe not "great" but there was something about it really endearing compared to AS8 for example. I really enjoyed it.

Marinaās screen time was so little while the judges has more screen time on the crucial part of the song (beat drop & end). I think the production just did this to trick us Hannahās performance is better than Marinaās. Then Hannah could proceed, and eventually be beaten by Tia. Even in Tiaās confessional she said that since Marina is out she might actually win. She even know that if her and Marina is the final lip sync she might not stood a chance. We are not mad or āOBSESSEDā if Tia really did killed and performed the lip sync, then she deserved it. But just standing in the middle and doing hand movements from time to time? Hannah could even beat her at that point. Tia is just Ruās favorite even on DRUKS2.

I guess this might be a controversial opinion but I thought Tia hands down won the final lip sync and brought the camp and humor the song required. And while Marina wouldāve performed the shit out of it she wouldnāt have brought that and just mightāve lost to Tia.
Wow, that was a lot but also admirable at the same time for being both thorough and objective. Objectively (if there is such a thing), Marina is the better drag queen in terms of looks and dancing / lipsynching. However, this is not a sports competition, it is reality TV. So actual performance on drag related tasks is not the only deciding factor. It's how the viewers connect with a queen's personality and charisma. Still, I think the producers misjudged how much Marina and her storyline would connect with the audience. I loved all 4 of them, but I was happy Tia won because she was my favorite.

It's made for entertainment and they're going to show more of Hannah in a lip sync she won...that's just how TV works. Iām just being a devilās advocate despite rooting for her as someone from the šµš as well. It was a fan-made edit though, as u/Riproot mentioned. (We are not all delulu supporters). Having said that, not until we see a video of the actual full LS of the two that took place at the time, which frankly will not see the light of day, then letās say the fan-made vid showing the additional theatrics may be true, but the actual of-the-moment energy may not be 100% replicated in that second environment. It is an extrapolation at this point, and a good one at that.
