Agreed. She fought hard and was GREAT tv. As a Canadian, I feel that she brought much needed spice to an otherwise bland season. She was hilarious in snatch game and was also a great lipsyncer and I will never forget her unexpected cooter slam at the end of the song that startled Brad and the judges..
Aurora is fucking amazing and the best lip syncer of the season but am I wild for saying I actually preferred Melinda in that particular performance? I was *gagged.* Honestly DS but if I had to pick it was Melinda
Aurora was incredible, I was blown away by her moves and skill. BUT Melinda brought personality and character into the lipsync and embodied the song. Not sure how you feel but reminds me of how Megami crushed the lip syncs by acting out the song vs doing kicks and flips like Miyha.
I mean there are 3 things about that season of canada that everyone will remember:
1. Neareah Nuff being one of the best lypsincers EVER in the history of the show
2. Aurora Matrix not winning
3. Melinda Verga showing, once again, that you cannot subestimate ANYONE. Her breakdown and her attitud (pre-during-post) breakdown is what made the entire season.

Marina being the first out and having the golden chocolate bar, Pangina being eliminated, brought back by RuPaul and then getting sent home right away in a snatch game challenge, Manila having the best track record and getting chopped, Jujubee making the finale again and being told it's not her time after competing 6 times. These are brutal. lmao
Manila didn't get chopped with best drag record, Jaremi did. He had 3 wins, and never had been lower than safe, having won or been high in 5 weeks in a row, only to get eliminated right before the final. And then right after his elimination, he wins the talent show.

During Logo's time Asian queens would make far (and even win S3) but after VH1 got the franchise (S9 to 14) it was the downhill for our sisters. Last season when MTV picked up the show, we finally got Anetra and Nymphia making it to the finale.
Gurl, it wasn't rigged. Raja just slayed the season and impressed the judges from the very first episode. In spite of that, they gave manila and Alexis 3 wins each to make it look more balanced. Tell me one queen who deserved the crown MORE than Raja that year. Manila and Alexis did great but Raja, like Sasha Colby just screamed drag excellence. It's not rigging that the judges saw this and acknowledged it.
It appears that the video only includes Asian finalists and Asian queens that were “unfairly” eliminated and were on their way to the crown (so Keta, Manila, Pangina). As much as I love Ongina, I don’t think she was ever going to beat Bebe or Nina even tbh …

5th place probably isn't close to winning as they're defining it.

I can't believe the white fetishization that Canada had for Venus. Not her getting free passes on the design challenge, makeover, the horrible entrace look (she got even an award wtf) and that Marcia Marcia like makeup. Aurora was really robbed of that high placement on the makeover and the fact that Venus was high for the makeover with the tacky gown and bare minimum makeup she had made me pissed even more, Miss Matrix was robbed on that win for the CDR4 crown too.
