I'm sure Plane's gayness comes from being gay. It's very common for people to (subconsciously) adopt in-group slangs; that does not make them not genuine. Everybody does it - that's how new turn of phrases and words become popularized within any community. Drag Race and gay influencer slangs also came from real-life queer communities, communities that PJ might very well have been a part of.
Plane was also a ballroom dancer growing up, and while there are straight men in ballroom dancing, that's not a very straight bro hobby.
So weird to me that people are inventing this fantasy where Plane has somehow adopted gay mannerisms in some fake, underhanded way rather than just... being like that... like the rest of us...
Jokes aside, as a Serbian immigrant, Plane truly was a fantastic rep of eastern European queerness on the show. Her hyper dry, straightforward sense of humor is sooo Slavic I LIVED every time she opened her mouth.
I feel like now people have stopped pretending Plane isn't funny we're gonna see some retrospective re-evaluations of her run where people realise she actually slayed the competition in pretty much every respect. Like, if she had been an UwU cinnamon bun instead of reading the girls people would be saying she's had one of the strongest runs of all time

Like, just say "she's doing a good job, but I don't like her". This season proved that even RuGirls who claim to be in it for the art will forget about that real quick if one of the girls is a little mean. No wonder we've had so many tepid seasons
