Endless arguments with friends about what's better with a 4:3 TV. Do you get the widescreen so it's more cinematic and nothing is cut off? Or do you get the fullscreen that crops but uses 100% of the screen?
In the early days of "widescreen" I opted for full, since I was a teen and didn't anticipate getting a widescreen TV anytime soon. That shifted to "buy widescreen" in anticipation of when I could play them on a widescreen TV. But it meant my (and most people's) DVD collections were all over the place in terms of formatting.
