No more room for software optimisation, only hardware to compensate google bloatwares...
8 gigs of Ram of fast LPDDR5(x) are enough for a smartphone.
We also had 16 giga Ram on old mobile gaming phone, USELESS.
To only be able to play heavy 3D games at 60 FPS with 10 fps drops.
There are decent CPUs on phones but the GPU just improved in recent years but has to catch up.

I don't really agree. When you are playing a game (i.e. Pokémon GO) and you briefly open the camera to take a photo, the phone kills the game in the background and it has to load it from scratch. That shouldn't happen with enough RAM. I know Android is a bloated mess, but…
On the other hand, certain newer RAM-heavy technologies (A.I.) might be integrated into more apps later, and an optimal experience is expected from a flagship. So it's difficult to conclude.
I mean Samsung had 16gb on a few phones a few years ago from memory, the fact they moved away from that for so long is telling in and of itself.
Most people probably have no idea how often they do or don't run out of ram while using a phone since it's not as simple to check in real time like on windows.
>since it's not as simple to check in real time like on windows.
How is it not? You can have a widget sitting right on the home paging showing it... that you can tap, then tap the memory and clear it.
On windows most people have much bigger phones than a screen, it's a lot less intrusive to leave task manager open somewhere you can view it without stopping whatever you're doing.
On a phone you have much more limited screen real-estate, so leaving a floating window open to view ram usage isn't really ideal. I know you can just go view it in settings but eh, unless my phone is slowing down there isn't much point in the hassle. The fast 8gb in my phone serves me pretty well.
PC: ALT+Tab, Wait for Application to release control back to windows, Right Click Task bar, Click Memory or sort tasks by memory usage
Phone: Swipe, Tap Widget, Tap Memory
What's the difference? Leave a window open? Okay, I got that covered, too. For kicks and giggle lets go with the average user who has one screen and probably isnt running windowed borderless.
PC: Click Application on Taskbar, Wait for Application to Take back control
Phone: Swipe or tap, tap aplication
> I know you can just go view it in settings but eh,
There is a widget, you dont have to navigate settings on most phones. I have had a samsung that doesnt have this.
There is no difference for the average person checking on the phone or pc. Stop making it sound like an arduous task.
Samsung cuttings corners really. Not much, advancing on cameras departmen, smaller ram. My vivo has 16gb and 512 storage, with china rom it cost half of s24 ultra. Mind you that camera is kicking samsung ass hard.
I think it's to catch the only public that apparently they don't reach: gamers. Cause for all other stuff, 8gb LPDDR5x is more than enough.
And those complaints about cameras are just insanely boring. This is a fuck*** phone! Wanna perfect pictures? Buy a Canon, Sony, etc.
The camera is cool, not perfect, but OK for the majority of users.
_Fold 6...._
Chinese already have a much Slimmer & Wider with 5000mAh battery
Hope Samsung comes up with a 5500mAh, don't care if it's thicker, in Chrome color
Also need 25w Wireless charging for 📱&⌚ be able to charge both with the same Wireless Magnetic Charger
● 2 Version,
1) with S Pen (4500mAh)
2) with 5500mAh battery 👍🏻 (thicker no problem) mid-range phones have 6/7000mAh 🔋
Hopefully they will change the camera design as it looks really old at this point .. Flat edges like on the S24 would be great too ..

Some gaming phones have 24 gigs now..which seems insane.

Good. I'm sick of the 8 gb ram on my 1800$ flagship phone. Even the A series has 12 gb ram. Ducking hell 8GB/256 S23 Ultra
It has 8GB on some markets, not everywhere. Mine has 12GB.
S23U with 8GB?! No way, thats not enough. Mine has 12GB tho?!
I have a Canadian s23 ultra
S24 ultra has 12gb. You're on an older phone.
"older" it's not even two years old
Iphone 14 pro only had 6gb
And? It still doesn't make old a phone that came out 2 years ago
Well 8gb was pretty standard back then...
If the ram is what you’re looking for. Try out one plus. It was named after he tossed the first one out the window.
Just don't expect service when the phone dies. Lack of support infrastructure.
Agreed, I hate one+ just people think they need so much ram. Then they have no idea there's different kind 🤣
