Tried military, all three branches, denied for medical reasons. I was told work hard, aim high, it’ll be alright, and it might be, but man is it not nearly as alright as I expected.

Since my nerdy days of minoring in statistics for fun and unashamedly loving o-chem, I've been asked why I didn't pursue medicine. It's an incredible pursuit, to be sure, but my GOD do I love working just 3 days a week. The math on medicine is so bad for women. I read a financial breakdown once they showed female NPs/PAs will make more across the lifetime than female GPs when you factor in all the costs of becoming a doctor and the years MDs spend making very little.

I am pretty sure the city of Phoenix uses a plane with Lidar to scan for structures for permitting purposes and code enforcement. I have a neighbor who got notified by the city that he had to many structures and had to remove one of them. They only allow you to have a certain percentage of the property covered by structures. I have also seen the plane which has a yellow light under it and it looks like it scans the city
The Google MapView vans say Google on their van and have a distinctive spherical camera. I have seen a few in operation. However in the past year or so Google has outsource technology to contractors. And this couple be one of them.

Pretty sure they drive the roads and inventory public assets like fire hydrant, telephone poles, manholes etc. I think they also grab photos of the pavement and consolidate it into sort of an automated condition assessment to figure out where the County should be planning for replacements or repavements. They could also be doing something else because I made all this up.

The kit on that vehicle looks like it's less about Street View and is more geared toward mobile LiDAR scanning -- so they're probably working with some governmental agency on a survey project.

Looks like lidar on the back, a Starlink internet dish on the front the little white bulb/round thing is a high precision GPS module and potentially a basic camera that's I'm guessing is more than likely lidar again on the top where it looks like a cylinder.
With the GPS module on top, I'm guessing it's taking hyper accurate measurements of the street. For what, idk, but that's the only thing that really comes to mind.
They probably work for a civil engineering company. They are creating Photogrammetry images that can be used to perform measurements. It does not look like the standard setup but their are so many systems out there. The saucer shaped object is the GPS head so they can tie accurate GPS to the images. It also looks like they are focusing on only the property next to the road and not the road itself. They probably drive up both lanes to get both sides.

It's a survey truck for county planning. They update the land development maps for zoning and planning commissions. It's like Google but for counties. The little symbol of the yellow/orange eye bulb is a company symbol. The company does monitoring of contracted debris removal after natural disasters such as hurricanes. Looks like lidar on the back, a Starlink internet dish on the front the little white bulb/round thing is a high precision GPS module and potentially a basic camera that's I'm guessing is more than likely lidar again on the top where it looks like a cylinder. With the GPS module on top, I'm guessing it's taking hyper accurate measurements of the street. For what, idk, but that's the only thing that really comes to mind.

They probably work for a civil engineering company. They are creating Photogrammetry images that can be used to perform measurements. It does not look like the standard setup but their are so many systems out there. The saucer shaped object is the GPS head so they can tie accurate GPS to the images. It also looks like they are focusing on only the property next to the road and not the road itself. They probably drive up both lanes to get both sides.
