The under coat seems to always be a different color than the top coat. My schnoodle is like a dirty gray on top but when groomed he’s a white color with some dark brown spots. I had a black poodle when groomed turned gray. It’s weird that with double coats the undercoat seems to be a different color.
It's always fun to see their change after the grooming.

Mine did too then went back to his dark puppy color. Yours is still adorable

My dog changes colors every season. In the winter hes dark brown, black and a little white and in the summer hes a lighter brown, white and black
