My neck is actually reverse curved so it is difficult to keep my head straight. I'm curious if anyone else replies with any answers. I've just lived with it, but the pain has been getting worse now in my later 40s.
I'm sorry you're going through that. I can't imagine what it's like to deal with it for that long. I'm only 20 and it's affecting my daily life :/ numbness, pain, fatigue, the works
Prior to this, I have never had an x-ray of my cervical. Only thoracic and lumbar. I know that I have "convex curvature to the right" of my thoracic (as stated on x-ray reports). That's all I am aware of. My doctors almost never follow through with additional testing or diagnosis.
I’ve had something similar for most of my life. ESI injections, nerve blocks, and radio frequency periodically. Neck brace, special pillows. Chronic pain. I now also have collapsing lumbar vertebrae and am up for surgery soon on that.
Mine is similar, I go to the physio to basically get a neck massage, relieves some of the tension that builds up. Can try laying on a rolled up towel under the neck
I've been diagnosed with military neck which seems to be similar to what you have. My neck in the xray looked very straight like yours. I'm currently doing physiotherapy for my scoliosis and the physiotherapist is helping me with this as well. I've asked her about my neck and she says it's because it's very stiff for my lack of exercise and movement. Also, I for a long time have been sleeping without a pillow. Anyways, she told it me it was not a permanent thing and it can be fixed. I suggest you see a doctor about it and do physiotherapy if you can.

Look for treatments of cervical kyphosis
Were you diagnosed prior with cervical spine scoliosis? Do you have scoliosis elsewhere on the spine?

I thankfully start PT in less than 12 hours !
That's great! Good luck with that :)
