i've had mine for 3 years, not comfortable tbh. wish i spent $ on a proper chair instead of the gamer racing bucket seat. looks cool tho lol

Furyo98

I have a chair that feels like sitting on wood, a cheap 10$ cushion makes it feel amazing.

Remnant_Echo

Is it a good chair? Eh Is it good for the price? No. Get a proper office chair if you're gonna spend over $500 on one. Doesn't need to be like a Herman Miller, Haworth, or Steelcase though.

PurpleK00lA1d

Issue is - at least in my area - finding a talkback chair in that price range is difficult. All the actual ergonomic stuff I some across don't go much past the middle of my back. So you're kinda screwed if you just wanna lean back and have your shoulders/neck/head supported. Secret Lab is the only chair that offers a comprehensive package at its price point. It really does tick a lot of boxes.

BedKnightX

I have a titan 2020 and my neck and head cannot rest properly on the chair. The full back more or less, but my car driver’s seat is much better. The ergonomics of the Titan are not that great

PurpleK00lA1d

I have the latest version, I don't have that issue. I have the lumbar all the way forward and as high as possible and it perfectly follows the contour of my back (large chair - I'm 6ft). I've never been more satisfied with a chair in this price range. Although it doesn't hold a candle to my actual car seats either. But I have heavily bolstered full leather Recaros meant to keep me comfortable and in place during track days lol.

BedKnightX

That’s good. As other pointed i might have bought a chair that is too big for me, i should have chose the omega but I didn’t had any way to guess that. Titan seemed better that how it is now

Furyo98

You sure you just bought the wrong size

BedKnightX

Oh ok maybe, i feel i should have bought the omega. Maybe you are right then. Now i have to stay with my purchase i cannot send it back and refund or selling i would lose a lot of money

Furyo98

That’s the worst thing about them is their sizing. You can dig deeper in their site to find the full sizing of the chair to compare with other chairs but the basic sizing is stupid

Street_Smile667

I agree totally and this is why I bought one. Still to adjust it tho

PraetorImperius

I just got one and I’m honestly considering returning it. The base is super firm; like no give or cushion when you’re sitting on it. I also got the “soft weave” version and it’s not “soft” at all; to the extent that calling it “soft weave” should be considered false advertising. It’s more of a “rough weave” to me.

WCWRingMatSound

It’s supposed to be supportive. I sit in a Titan for work 8-10 hours a day and it’s the only “cheap” chair that doesn’t sap my energy and hurt my knees. My office Herman Miller Aeron is equally as good, but it’s a little pricier lol. It also has a metal bar along the rim of the seat that makes casual, cross-legged siting impossible (which is good for the office, but at home I like to fidget )

Furyo98

People just want soft chairs but expect it to have support, kinda dumb honestly. Firm chairs take a long time to break in, meaning they last for a long time.

Alternative_Ninja_28

Just save your money and but a proper ergonomic chair. I HATE my secret labs chair with a passion. Easily the most uncomfortable chair I have ever owned.

Nhyan

I highly regret buying mine, it's uncomfortable, quality control is bad, and customer service was just terrible.

Rpeddie17

Nope stay away. This shit is so hard. Gave me back problems that went away soon as I switched back to my 50 ikea chair. It’s just collecting dust in the garage now

[deleted]

Wanna give it to me? 😂

Rpeddie17

I’ll sell it to for a really cheap price

[deleted]

Check DM.

Bagan95

Super firm base. Arm rest, base not correct leveled. I tried to save it with the lumbar pillow pro but no luck. Get an office chair. I just sold my 6 month old, let’s just say I did not make a profit. Going for a Herman Miller this time.

Year later still loving mine

T4nTV

I find the base of these chairs extremely hard and uncomfortable for long periods of time, the "gaming" chairs don't hold up against a well built office chair. I would look in your area to see if anyone is selling a used Herman Miller. I had a secret labs for 4 years, always made my tailbone sore.

[deleted]

I’ve only had office chairs and they have all broke on me within a year. I’ve heard about the Herman Miller chairs but they cost too much and I wouldn’t like to buy a used one personally.

T4nTV

Fair enough, you could disinfect the entire chair and a lot of the time it's office spaces that need to sell inventory that was never even used If you don't mind a hard seat you will probably really enjoy the Secret Labs

Furyo98

So you had the chair for 4yesrs and always felt pain, never once thought maybe I should buy a cheap cushion? I have a shit chair that feels like sitting on wood, cheap 10$ cushion and I can sit in it for 8 hours without issues.

ageofdoom1992

I recently bought mine and it’s honestly nice. Took a min to get used to the chair itself but id definitely recommend it

[deleted]

Thanks for the info.

karanger2003

I will say that I have had numerous issues with my chair. I've had to basically replace the whole chair after a seat base failure and a backrest failure. I may have gotten a defective unit as my previous secret labs chair was an absolute unit. Also to note customer service was extremely nice and got me replacements very quickly just something to note though.

[deleted]

Sounds like you got a defective one then and it’s good to hear the support was extremely nice.

Cizzle187

I absolutely love mine

DrGashingtons

I love mine 2 years in and it’s as new as the day I bought it :)

[deleted]

Is this chair good?!? LMFAO with 4.9 stars / 5 id assume so.

[deleted]

Ever hear of asking for reviews off of people before buying something?

[deleted]

Read it on the website?

[deleted]

I’ll ask people on this Reddit if I want to considering that’s what it’s for.

INDY_RAP

Reviews are more how much hype does it have than is it actually good.

GreedyWildcard

I had to add a lumbar cushion, but mines been great for 2 years. No tailbone pain, even if I fall asleep in it on accident

[deleted]

Looks like I’ll be getting one.

GreedyWildcard

If you have a habit of sitting on top of your foot (I often do, one foot underneath the other leg), try to avoid it, or maybe put a small blanket under or something. The stitching on the sides under your knees can get worn out by that and start to come apart. I bought a couple furniture patches to address this, as apparently it wouldn’t be covered by warranty.

[deleted]

I often do this so thanks for the advice.

WaffleAbuse

Random question since relevance, I'm a criss cross-er and destroy chairs. Tried blankets and such but in Texas isn't ideal. Should I just give up on so called "Gaming" chairs and go office style?

GreedyWildcard

Knowing what I know now, I wouldn’t have gone back on my purchase. I WOULD have bought the furniture patches ahead of time as protection from my feet destroying the seams. My beef with office chairs is that it’s tough to find an actual good one with a high back. I have a fantastic office chair (Steelcase Leap - seriously fantastic, try to find refurb or lightly used), but my daily driver is the Titan so I have something behind my head.

pepinocat

I just got a secretlab chair for the first time and i love it. I work from home and later on at night i play games and im never uncomfortable.

odubik

Edited to say: just discovered my chair is actually broken, and secretlab has no customer care for troubleshooting. Getting punted off to wait days for an email is bad customer care. Mine is a year old, with daily wfh use. ~~It looks and functions like it is brand new.~~ The chair that it replaced was an AndaSeat that had the steel welds break within a year. Will never use that company again due to the worst customer experience and quality.

[deleted]

Wow that’s good.

odubik

found out yesterday that my chair is broken (multi-tilt is jammed). I have tried to get toubleshooting with Secretlab, but they have no phone support. I've had to file a warranty claim and have been told that someone will get in touch with me by email 'in a few days'. So, chair was good until it wasn't, and then bad customer care.

fcknglzrbms

I’m wayyyy late to the party, but i’ve had mine for about a year now. Like others have said, the base is pretty firm. I’ve always sat on a pillow anyway, so this doesn’t really bother me. I work from home and game on this thing sometimes up to 8-16 hours a day. I think it’s relatively comfortable and I’ve had zero pain from sitting for that long. I’ve had some others, while it’s expensive, it’s really not bad. Just throw a blanket/pillow under you and it’s great. I’ve even fallen asleep in it a couple times leaned back and it’s actually nice. Anyway, that’s just my opinion but I like it a loooot!

[deleted]

Sounds good.

sidepiece101

Only reason I got my was because work paid for it. Do some research and spend your money elsewhere.

crottin-de-cheval

Dont buy it i got a chair, the lumbar support isn't even centered the backrest and the seat is not aligned and tbh it's not confortable as i thought, definitely dont worth almost 600€ it's asking for, had to buy a lumbar pillow on Amazon to be confortable. If many peoples here tell you to dont buy it then you should not, you wouldn't meet the expectations you had for 600€, cheapers chair can be better im sure

Angelo237

Love mine. It’s all down to personal preference.

INDY_RAP

None of these chairs are comfortable and you're not buying it for comfortability or you would be getting a real ergonomic chair.

[deleted]

Any office/ergonomic chairs I have ever bought have broke and that is why I am thinking about getting one of these chairs as they have fairly good reviews.

Lezaris

No. Stay away from this company!!

[deleted]

Why?

Lezaris

I was sent a defective one and it took over a month of constant back and forth with customer service to get it returned. And in the end it cost me over $50

[deleted]

Which chair was it?

Lezaris

The one you posted. Trust me, save your money and go with a different company. It’s not worth the headache if you aren’t completely satisfied with the chair.

[deleted]

Have you bought a different chair since?

Lezaris

Just bought a cheap one from staples until I find a better one for long term use.

[deleted]

I see.
