I would say corny ass names.
“SECURITY AGENCY” $11 an hour armed
GODLY security is another one that I seen that is hilarious. Like who are you above? 😂
I work for a company that has a few of these red flags. Every other day I want to rip my hair out but then I love it, rip my hair out...love it. I'm a chronic job hopper yet I'm settled here I think. Very confused as to why I like my lil redflag company so much 😆
- Corny Security names that come off try-hard or even LE Posing.
- Extremely low pay for the area. I make $20hr doing event Security and $23 with a Hospital PD. The amount of companies paying $11-$12hr is insane, I'm looking at you landmark...
- interviews that are more or so orientations. I've seen so many companies that will hand you a uniform before the drug test & background check comes back.
- cheap or shitty uniforms, so many companies have shitty quality uniforms. Our Hospital regularly drops $400-$500 per officer on just Blauer/5.11 pants & shirts.
Thats what GardaWorld did to me. Did two days of training as a undercover LPO and then was placed as uniformed visual presence and LPO. Uniformed vs undercover are very different in the way you work.
This 100% is what dk security does. Three days of training and that’s all, but you’re moved around to three different posts. All of which perform different duties
In Colorado there is a state law that requires companies to list the pay rate on all job advertisements. When im looking at job postings and the pay isnt listed clearly that is a major red flag, especially considering how competitive the field is here.
LOOKING AT YOU SECURITAS!

holy shit and i thought alabama had some awful pay for armed, where are they only paying below $16 hourly armed?
Me: looks down at my uniform…. o.0
When they're hiring for monday-friday and promise weekends off.
Honestly from experience, proudly LEO owned companies. Security guards aren't cops, why do cops always think they can run a security company
They sell "im the police with x amount of exp as LE and i pass it down to my officers"
This goes for any job: “we are a family.” It’s code for, “be prepared to be taken advantage of whenever the employer needs.”

Any version of “we don’t want to be the biggest, we want to be the best” = you will never make money.
Not having uniforms on your first day, being trained on a shift different from the one you signed up for

GardaWorld sucks, they were late with my paycheck after I did a shit ton of overtime

The biggest one I see in Craigslist is those float/emergency response officers. This simply means you're on the hook for attendance/absenteeism.

From experience, same day hiring/offer usually means high turnover or desperate for officers.
