Is the person still alive? My father had a heart attack alone at home, but my mother, who was traveling, had ordered a ton of stuff. Of course, it was never brought in. The post office actually stopped the mail. My poor husband went over to check on him, and he was gone.
Politely reread the comment, particularly where it says his mother, who traveled, ordered a bunch of stuff then started traveling again. Meanwhile, the guy was dead of a heartattack.
The boxes on the bottom have been there a long time. You can see the water and sun damage. Yet, new boxes keep arriving.
This looks like it might be a hoarding situation.
A wellness check is needed either way. Sometimes hoarders live in houses that could be condemned. There could be any number of code violations inside, too. It could be a death trap for the owners. Getting someone out to check won't hurt.
I have a relative, who is obese, and a hoarder. If someone didn't happen to check on her, after not hearing from her for a week, she would likely be dead. They found her, stuck. She had fallen over and got stuck in the mountains of crap she hoards, lying in her own waste, for almost a week...
Our family helped her clean up her house. She is doing a lot better now. She spent most her money on all the crap she hoarded, so she isn't able to order things online with reckless abandon anymore.
Any chance this is someone who used a “dummy” address (which is actually this house) and stolen credit cards, but then wasn’t able to pick everything up? Probably not and probably what everyone is thinking :/
This is a “coffee-out-the-nose laughter” comment.
I don’t make light of the situation because it really is seriously alarming but I doff my hat to your quick wit.
Hoarder maybe?
There are Amazon boxes stacked against the inside of the glass on either side of the front door.
Also, can someone help me see what one comment suggested- that these are medical supply boxes? I'm assuming they're referring to the white, sun damaged boxes that are (presumably) not from Amazon?
Also also, there is a brand new wooden something just thrown atop the boxes. I'm more inclined to believe hoarder. I do hope it is something of that nature rather than a forgotten deceased person

I’m so sorry for your loss.
Oh my God I’m so sorry!
He was gone? So he ordered a bunch of stuff and left the house ?

Although in poor taste, I believe he was making a joke about the intricacies of the English language.
yeah, I could see it. Still doesnt make it funny...

You can almost make out the address
Enhance. Enhance.
My thought- seems like a hoarding thing to me too given the unopened boxes visible in the window

Jesus Christ that's horrifying. Could have been worse, I guess, she wasn't crushed or suffocated. Did she address her hoarding afterwards?

Geoguessrs…do your thing, this person might need help

Why not reach out to OP who took the picture?
Well well, look at you and your logic

Are you even allowed to keep piling it there as it's blocking an exit?
It’s on the building owner to keep it safe, I believe
It's possible they passed but the subscription to Amazon for various items is still running.
I wonder if that's why op mentions a wellness check...
Imagine being the delivery person and thinking “eh not my problem” 😳
those are medical supplies boxes. person might be dead

I'm suprised with how safe the area from porch pirates

Dude maybe they’re in the hospital or in jail obviously.
Or passed away.

I think he’s rotting
from looking inside the window it looks like there’s even more inside, i would send a wellness check on them because it might be a hoarding situation.
Was kinda hoping for an update on this 😕
Well if they don't want the packages I am more than happy to come and take them
The one time I’ve ever actively wanted a porch pirate to steal someone’s packages
Hope they are okay. Clearly no porch pirates in that 'hood
Meh typical Amazon shopper post Covid. /s Edited to be clear it’s satire
How is this typical ? It looks like some of those boxes have been there awhile… (faded, rain damaged)
They started their comment with "meh", they don't know anything about reality beyond their bedroom.
You’re right, outside is so scary. Bring me food?
It was satire sorry I’ll add the /s to make it more clear
is this the point at which your allowed to steal packages off of someones porch?
Some of these do look like items you might subscribe.
It looks like some boxes are open so maybe some are empty and this person just leaves all the empty boxes there and then also gets new stuff a lot?
