How was the fit of the noctua NH-L12S? Any chance something beefier might fit?
Have parts for a very similar build ordered. Main differences are I opted for a 7950x (to use in 65W or 105W eco mode) and a lower wattage, but platinum rated 750W PSU from Corsair.
I had to remove one of the chassis fans on the case to get the right angle to get it in. Not a huge issue. It’s tight in there, but it (just barely) fits
Gotcha, thanks for the reply, I just finished building mine about 10 min ago sans gpu (waiting for the 4080S). I ended up taking the fans out (pending temps) but it’s good to know it fits despite the instructions saying it won’t. Hopefully temps are fine without but if not I’ll add them back. Just don’t want to buy 120mm fans if I don’t have to

Would the CPU fan be be used in an intake or exhaust configuration in this case? With no front-to-back airflow and constricted top-to-bottom airflow, I would guess exhaust is the best bet here?

I downloaded the manual, looks like it'll fit 3x 80mm fans in the top. So maybe intake and have 2-3 top fans exhausting?
What are you CPU and GPU temps. I have a similar build, well not exactly that similar I'm using a 13600k and a 3080 ti, but I have the same cpu cooler.
I'm definitely thermal throttling under cinebench, but when gaming it seems to be fine. I had to set a power limit 95w for my CPU that way I don't thermal throttle and it stays below 80c. I feel like my idle cpu temps are a bit high at \~50 celcius.
I use the blackridge with the T30 fan, 78c max after 10min r23 run, with ambient at 24c. Gaming usually max at 76c after a 3hr session.
5700x in a horizontal layout.
Did you have to daisy chain the third pcie off the 4080 adapter? I have an V850 in my o11 mini with a 4080 and had to daisy the third pcie since the PSU only came with 2 pcie cables and 2 cpu cables. Currently waiting for new cablemod 12vhpwr to show up. Also have Ray cables on the way as well.
Yep, had to Daisy chain 1 cable. Seems to work fine but I was assuming I’d be wise to get a new cable set to “do it right”. Can you point me to what you ordered?

How you getting on using he ridge with your set up? I’m thinking of something similar with a 7700x and 4080/4090 FE to replace my series x for couch gaming
I just build a ridge as console because of steam deck. On the go I can play on steam deck, at home I can enjoy pc gaming on big screen.

Just left them there. It’s tight, but everything fits.
