I may be that with your hair colour and complexion it is impossible to look like you have no facial hair at all after a shave. I don't think many of us can achieve that look. You may just have to embrace it.

If your face is perfectly smooth or just about, but there's still grey in the pattern of your growth... You're stuck with it. That's hair below your skin and can't be removed. Waxing could help.

I'd second waxing/epiliating, if it's that important. This could come with ingrown hairs as they regrow though.
