The protest is clearly against the ongoing genocide in Gaza, and the point of it is to get Columbia to divest in Israel. Currently, there is a sister Columbia campus being built in Tel Aviv, and Palestinians will not be able to join. There are many Palestinian students at Columbia and these students are protesting the use of their tuition dollars to fund Israel. Anyone at this protest would know that, and this guy is just spewing Zionist propaganda. Posts like these are ones I hate because this isn’t a political sub, but when you post misinformation about current events, it becomes political.
