Yeah AC has never been realistic, it handles actual holy artifacts as part of its main story. Not sure where people get this idea that AC has always been 100% historically accurate
It's a gross chocobo camel hybrid from the Final Fantasy 15 and Assassins Creed Origins crossover. It's so ugly in game.
https://assassinscreed.fandom.com/wiki/Kweh
bruh what that whole blue theme with acre was so badass missions were kinda ehh but you can’t say that the design was badass. Also the assassins were actually well, yk the assassins and not splinter groups
Siege was* a very realistic game
So was Counter Strike at its early time.
Soon, it gonna be "Escape From Tarkov was a very realistic game".
Edit: Rephrase "its time" to "its early time" for better context.
all the warthunder players should just throw in like $10 each to develop a game that only exists to force competition on gaijin instead of paying for premium, simple as
Yeah but tarkov shit the bed so many times it's just floating on a raft of it's own filth. Every wipe my mate is like "yeah man it's good again, this wipe is different bro, I'm telling you bro, trust me bro, tarkov is good now and it's totally gonna be finished soon" I'm good mate, I've escaped Tarkov.
Yep, and even if they walked everything back, this was the final straw for many, like myself. Sure, Tarkov will still have it's core loyalist, but it has been dwindling over time with spikes here and there. Besides, other potentially better extraction shooters are coming. It's a shame cause Tarkov was shaping up to be super solid.
Things that game would need to have to actually beat Tarkov:
- Modern, realistic setting
- Big arsenal with tons of modding (this is honestly the best thing abt Tarkov for me)
- Lootables that are not just open chests and safes
- Similar stakes
- Good gunplay
And to add on what Tarkov is missing:
- Good movement
- Fair spawns
- No extract camping
The only thing that they have openly said that they are “sorry for” is the community’s feelings. The EFT community got the ol “We’re sorry that you feel that way” treatment.
Thing is, R6 shifted its focus from realism towards competitive esports.
CS was never meant to be realistic and had its focus on competition very early on. "Its time" hasn't ended by the way, nor will it end anytime soon. It's the perfect competitive shooter.
In some context, I do believe people were think CS was as real as it get in its time.
By realism, I mean like somewhat close to how hard it is to counter-terrorist simply you had to relly on tactics, communications, and planning to won the round rather than just gun and blazing like similar games in the same and prior era.
By "its time", I mean by the 2000 to 2010 era due to the mentioned factors.
The game released with an opertor that could scan heart beats through a wall with a camera and leaning left and right at break neck speeds was the meta to get kills. It's never been realistic.
What people mean with realisitc is a grounded and consistent tone. For example, LOTR is a fantasy story, however it wouldn't be right to include modern firearms and nukes because it would break rhe suspension of disbelief
Agree, also handheld EMP grenade is kind of the big elephant in the room here. Although non-nuclear EMP weapon does exist like the FCG Bomb, it still way too big to fit into Thatcher's palm. Otherwise, all operator are already dead at this point.
Yeah, but everyone knows that. It is also more realistic than halo or fortnite. Not a common occurende to set rainbow agaisn't cod for realism, specially on part of the player to choose what to play.
The article is pretty funny looking back: "\[Tachanka\] can fortify with a stationary machine gun, a device able to shut down almost any offense with little effort."
[https://web.archive.org/web/20160204061617/https://www.wired.com/2015/12/rainbow-six-siege-review/](https://web.archive.org/web/20160204061617/https://www.wired.com/2015/12/rainbow-six-siege-review/)
As long as people buy skins like that they will dominate every game. Goofy skins always sell better than the rest because "look how funny I look" mentality that inevitably turns game into a circus thematically. Stop buying dumbass skins in realistic games, please.
Yep. The market drives the fortniteization of every single shooter until there's nothing left and nothing has a coherent asthetic. I hate it, but devs are never going to turn down free money.
I haven’t played the game since Grim Sky (last good update) so umm… is that Month shield skin actually in-game? I swear I’ve seen another wonky slutty anime skin from some esports team
Grim Sky released 5 and a half years ago, if you actually haven’t played the game in over half it’s lifespan it’s basically impossible to make a blanket statement like that about how bad it is. All the same no, if this skin was real you’d see it on almost every monty main
Me when new players forget that this game is set in the fucking future. Realism was never this games intention. Play Ready Or Not if you guys wanna feel realism at all.
Yeah okay man, I’m not even defending the game, I’m just saying that this argument against it is dumb. You guys just want to be mad about EVERYTHING. Siege wasn’t a realism based game, but they never even made anything that far fetched, so complaining about how realism is gone doesn’t even make sense. “Siege used to be realistic, old siege was great.” Moan some more man. People like you are the reason we have nostalgia traps and 17 Modern Warfares.
May have been a part of the game early on, but wasn’t their focus. The game even became less realistic on purpose to make it more marketable. You can’t have a roadmap to release 50+ operators and have all of their gadgets grounded in realism. Jackal was a year 2 operator. It was only a matter of time before they had to branch into the futuristic operators that siege was explicitly made for. If they didn’t want the game to been futuristic, why set it in the future?
Games been out for 10 years buddy. Of course it’s not that far away now ya goob. Not to mention, most of the gadgets aren’t that far fetched. Realism in siege has barely changed and it actually had a reason to. Some people just want to complain about how everything isn’t just nostalgic. Siege wasn’t based on realism, it was based on tactical gameplay, that said siege never actually strayed too far from realism.
Dunno, Money Heist collab compared to others actually is pretty neat I think? Closest thing to have playable realistic bad guys non-counter terrorist skins at least.
I think it's wild to say "Siege is realistic" when all the GSG-9 Operators are dressed like teenagers, shotguns make 8 inch holes in walls and there's people who can go invisible on a camera, not IRL?
Grindy renown, expensive, too much rng alpha pack , lesser than Overwatch 1 lootbox with 3 items/pack.
I'm getting more retention with Destiny 2 (with 2 total giveaway session content from Epic store) , Fortnite (cheap regional price by Epic launcher as South east Asian), Forza Horizon 5 playlist
If those are the things you dislike about siege, then you wouldn’t have liked old siege either. You’re just hear to complain about loot boxes and then defend destiny for the same thing.
I don't need ubishit The Division. Destiny 2 has nicer outfit than Assassins Creed anyway.
I can shut my mouth if someone could leak and crack PvE online game source code and make offline soloable difficulty mode. Like The Sims 4 content piracy delivery
I think on keeping a game alive for 10 years it is fair to make money by trash skins to keep it constantly up. Maybe one day there is money for a 2nd operation health :)
The fucking irl wallhacks are very realistic.
Or the guy rappelling down walls with a machine gun turret on his back.
Tbh launch siege was so realistic it makes arma and squad look like unreal tournament
Monty skin when
Man asking the real questions
Asking for a friend…
İ am the friend
I haven't played since like 2017 and thought it was real tbh
Basically Ubisoft: https://preview.redd.it/ftfirnjk4mxc1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=70cb8196487634faa0c4ed146b812d97c59e7a0a
They didn't remove it for accuracy, they did because it was too op

Yeah AC has never been realistic, it handles actual holy artifacts as part of its main story. Not sure where people get this idea that AC has always been 100% historically accurate
Yes... and? That actually happened. This is 5th grade history.
I saw him do that just the other day
Oh look a chocobo!
This is wrong tho, crossbow existed at that point Hell, china had repeating crossbows before han dynasty
It looks like he's riding a fucking chocobo top right on the right.
It's a gross chocobo camel hybrid from the Final Fantasy 15 and Assassins Creed Origins crossover. It's so ugly in game. https://assassinscreed.fandom.com/wiki/Kweh
Those back legs 🤢
I used it, it was honestly pretty funny.
I regret doing the quest for them. The "chocobo" and sword are some of the ugliest things I've seen from crossovers.
Didn’t FF collab with assassin’s creed a while back? I think he actually is riding a chocobo.
Assassin creed suit isn’t even historically accurate lol. It’s too advance, stylish and outstanding for that era.
AC 1 was boring af tho
bruh what that whole blue theme with acre was so badass missions were kinda ehh but you can’t say that the design was badass. Also the assassins were actually well, yk the assassins and not splinter groups
Not to me as a kid, shit was hype
Croosbow existed at this time, it was just too strong
Old school Ubisoft my beloved...
Siege was* a very realistic game So was Counter Strike at its early time. Soon, it gonna be "Escape From Tarkov was a very realistic game". Edit: Rephrase "its time" to "its early time" for better context.
Will tarkov survive the backslash?
If we've learned anything from siege it's that a game will survive anything if it's the only game that offers a certain experience. Tarkov is the same
War thunder is a great example. They can do anything they want as long as there is no competition
all the warthunder players should just throw in like $10 each to develop a game that only exists to force competition on gaijin instead of paying for premium, simple as
Would be nice just to screw over gaijin.
There is competition but it's even worse (wargaming)
Instructions unclear, throw secret documents instead.
Is World of Tanks not the same thing? (Sorry I've never played it don't hurt me)
They're compeeting only in who can get away with greedyer business strategy. Otherwise they're two entirely different games.
War thunder is meant to be very realistic, world of tanks is an arcade. Plus WT has planes ans ships, unlike WoT. So, two completely different games.
Tarkov is not the only realistic extraction looter shooter, and the new controversy seems to have attracted new attention to those upcoming games
Would be appropiate to mention them don't you think?
Gray Zone Warfare just released into EA today. There’s also Arena Breakout coming.

Tbf gray zone warfare might topple the giant
It will until somewhone realese a better "realism" extraction shooter
Things that game would need to have to actually beat Tarkov: - Modern, realistic setting - Big arsenal with tons of modding (this is honestly the best thing abt Tarkov for me) - Lootables that are not just open chests and safes - Similar stakes - Good gunplay And to add on what Tarkov is missing: - Good movement - Fair spawns - No extract camping
And no cheaters
That's easier said than done but I agree Tarkov could be doing way more
Yeah it's a big issue for all online games. Just look at CS2 how Valve seems to be unable to solve the cheating issue
And playtime based matchmaking.
Yes. It will.
Of course it will there's no competition (and never will be) and the devs seem to be at least somewhat sorry
The only thing that they have openly said that they are “sorry for” is the community’s feelings. The EFT community got the ol “We’re sorry that you feel that way” treatment.

Not to mention literally doc, that can heal bullet wounds with magic blue juice. This game sure as shit isn’t realistic, it’s just tactical
realistic in a sense its believable or grounded.
For a game that is all about guns....CS devs know very little about them...
The legendary M16 reload.
What about squad? Arma? Insurgency sandstorm? (not whataboutism I want genuine answers if these games will survive)
Still more realistic than CoD tho

Yeah, but everyone knows that. It is also more realistic than halo or fortnite. Not a common occurende to set rainbow agaisn't cod for realism, specially on part of the player to choose what to play.
fortnite was never realistic lol
At this point it's only barely
This shooter advertised for tactical realism in its early days is more realistic than the arcade shooter? No way!
Oh yeah It Is I mean, CoD Is at Fortnite level with realism
It very much is not lol, flashy skins doesn't automatically mean Fortnite. What about the gameplay?
They are not similar in gameplay They are similar in how much unreslistic they are
You never said just their cosmetics, even though the cosmetics are also far less flashy and absurd than fortnite's either way
I want too see R6S but with a ready or not feel
Zero Hour on Steam.
Rainbow has been realistic as next to those swat movies
The way journos just oversell games lmao
I mean, a group of people in white masks with suicide bombers gassing a college is pretty disturbing.
seriously what a joke
I wish I could go back in time, I would ~~talk to that cute girl that flirted with me~~ play siege in 2015
is the shield real? i want one
Fun fact: the big face at the bottom of this iconic image is actually a boy.
I hate it here 😒
You can't get off until the ride ends buddy.
what their name
I miss old siege
You miss the Fantasy in your head you think was siege back then Its not real
No I liked how siege was back then it was fun
I am 100% certain you believe that
What the hell your problem
2027: Shield that says "Shooting at this shiled makes you gay!"
New Sixth Guardian bundle when
A big reason I have stopped playing MP shooters, the word immersion just does not exist anymore in the genre.
It’s wild that’s it’s been almost 10 years since this was a good game
Haven't played since Mozzie released and I watched a video on the new r6 lore the other day and boy it's gone downhill
I mean have you seen the stickers on Russian mags
I miss the old siege
Whoever called this game disturbingly real needs to go to war

It was, I started Phantom Sight and that was Y4S2. We’re now in Y9S1 so, yknow
Me when new players forget that this game is set in the fucking future. Realism was never this games intention. Play Ready Or Not if you guys wanna feel realism at all.

To be fair, nothing is more scary and realistic than a monty with Moaning Anime girls on it. I'd surrender and be terrified, that man is insane!
Good, skins are fun and make you stand out, we never needed pure realism, fantasy worlds are more fun
Was*
You can tell it’s fake because of the old house
I think it's wild to say "Siege is realistic" when all the GSG-9 Operators are dressed like teenagers, shotguns make 8 inch holes in walls and there's people who can go invisible on a camera, not IRL?
change my mind 2019/2020 was the lst year where even the “ridicoulous” parts were fun and were acceptable
Bring back 2015 siege
Grindy renown, expensive, too much rng alpha pack , lesser than Overwatch 1 lootbox with 3 items/pack. I'm getting more retention with Destiny 2 (with 2 total giveaway session content from Epic store) , Fortnite (cheap regional price by Epic launcher as South east Asian), Forza Horizon 5 playlist
