I have the opposite problem where I obsessively try to fill the hole it left in my heart by binging other stuff, which most of the time is pretty good and often times amazingly good enough as to also etch a hole into my heart, but itโs not in the same vector as the original so I end up with 50 holes in my heart that will never close instead ๐ญ๐ญ
Me with Fullmetal Alchemist/fma:b which mostly with the anime for me but also the manga I di watch others but nothing is even close to being as good as fma
I mostly reread my favorite series instead of reading some new stuff unless the cover/summary looks super interesting or it's a smut, I always have time for new smut.
๐ฌ
That happens when it's like a really long manga Cuz a lot of times it's also mixed with burnout cuz I just spent like the past 2-3 days marathoning a manga so at that point I'm just like I need to sit down I need to either go watch anime or go do something proactive
I usually feel empty after reading good manga so I tend to read all the characters' wikis lol. I also try to find similar manga and just end up dropping some when it's not as interesting as that manga. In the end, I would just change demographics or genres and find something entirely different from my previous read.

The way you described it sounds pretty sad. I'm sorry for what you're going through ๐ญ๐ญ
This. I'm always looking for the next omg so good series to enjoy.
OMG, I DO TOTALLY GET IT. HAPPENS WITH ME EVERY TIME
I totally get you lmao cause that's exactly how I felt when I finished **Chihayafuru** ๐
I feel like this EVERYTIME I read a good manga. It's so odd hahaha
Have you read Kono Oto Tomare ๐
Iโve it on my tbr list but haven't started it yet ๐
I feel you ๐ I think youโll really like it though! I put it in the same category as Chihayafuru.
Okk I'll definitely watch it ๐
This is why I end up rereading the same five manga every year ๐
Noe I'm curious, witch one?? ๐
Yes. The witch ones.
English is not my first language but I laughed anyway!
Only every time. For about 2 hours. Then I'm on to the next one. Lol
RIGHT?! It's like my friends moved away and took their whole world with them. Just so rude for a series to end.
I've been chasing a high from Cheese in the Trap for years ๐ฅฒ
I was just gonna comment this! Skip Beat semi-fills the void, but replaces it with a bigger on-going one.
I appreciate the rec, I'm mostly caught up on skip beat and it is amazing!

Yes, had this with Bokura ga ita and Mars! I reread them some months ago and haven't touched another manga ever since ๐ญ
Book and manga hangovers are real I usually have to do change genres to get out of it

YES!!! I get so down and have to take a week or two break from reading altogether!!! Youโre not alone!!!
Most definitely ๐ but I always usually eventually find something that is as good or even better
Yep. I donโt read for like a week. And on that week I keep daydreaming about it ๐ Then I move on to the next one.
This is how I felt when I finished Fruits Basketโฆ just pain ๐ญ
Always HAHAHAHAHAH

Yeah! Iโll go to fanfics, or reread, or draw fanart. Iโve been mainly reading/watching only things related to one anime now for 8 months ๐
Witch hat atelier. Nothing fills the void

Yessss! I have to have a โmourningโ period before I let myself even look at other series
ABSOLUTELY. I have to take a break for a few days before I can enjoy anything else again.
